    Hey Stiletto Wild Bill here from the Show Me State! Sooner or later you know your going to put the S35VN blade on the griv-x handle. Yah guys like us have a sickness, but what a awesome sickness it is. I did it to my clip point SR1 LITE and I love it! You'll love it too!

    I’ve got the SR-1 lite spear point blade. I need to take mine apart and clean it. I used Autosol to polish the blade and all the goop went into the pivot area. That’s a job for tomorrow, I’m too tired tonight.

    The sr1 tanto version is sexier and looks bad ass than the clip point.
    No regrets on buying it

    Good video. I am a bit surprised that the (original) SR1 doesn't have bronze washers.

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Often, when CS uses SS liners, they don't use bronze phosphor washers with Teflon washers and just have Teflon washers, alone, instead. I hope that helps... Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Hi Stiletto, I thought you will test it out and proof the interchangeability of the parts. The S35VN Blade embraced by the Grivex would be reeel understatement:) I have the Lite with Clippoint but I love the 4Max and the Luzon. The SR1 is on my wishlist but it is real a high price Device. The prices in Euro are up above the prices in $. I really like your style to present your steels and thoughts. Greetings Marcel

      Right on. The SR1 Lite is $59 Dollars, here. It's super affordable compared to other's in its class... Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Hey Stiletto been watching your TH-cam channel for a while now. I missed out on asking about the Ti Lite 6” g10 I pulled the trigger on the s35vn model and wondered what your opinion is on the change from cts xhp it’s probably pretty obsolete on a Ti lite because of the purpose of the blade but there seems to be a lot of ranting a raving about cold steels switch from cts xhp to cpm s35vn I doubt I could tell the difference myself I just value your opinion as a cold steel fan and collector. Oh and I apologize for changing the subject carry on

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I luv both, CTS-XHP and CPM S35VN. Both, are great steels. And, with a Italian Style, Manual Folding Stiletto, I don't think it really matters... Why? The Folding Stiletto is primarily a tool that's designed to puncture, penetrate, or stab... It's not designed to be an everyday cutting tool, where edge holding really matters. It's primary purpose is combat or self-defense, in my opinion. Knowing that, the Japanese AUS-8A and American 440C are great choices, too... Personally, I would like to see these made with Japanese AUS-10A, also... So, any of the Ti-Lite VI folding Stilettos are excellent choices for that purpose... I absolutely luv the CS Ti-Lite Series; I hope the don't discontinue them... Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Well said Ti Lites are my favourite check out Jimmyslash latest up date cold steel is bringing back the ti lite Kris in 6” also a serrated model and a 4” as well as the hold out series and talwar Lynn must still be involved and listening to the cold steel fan base I’m stoked

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I saw what Jimislash saw. I like the new Talwar Series in S35VN the new Hold Out Series, the new 4Max and AD-15, the new blade type for the Voyager Series, the new smaller models of the Recon 1 Series looks interesting, and of course, the new Ti-Lite Kris Series. We might be okay... CS Fans, that is... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Good video. Ive got a little handle scale gap between lockbar and the scales is that normal?

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you mean, of you try to look through the space between the lock-bar, it's self, and the partial SS Liners, when you put the Knife up to the light and try to see if there is any space between the lock-bar and the liners. Yes, there will be a little space so the kick-off came function without rubbing too much against the liners. If that's what you mean, yes, that is normal on Tri-Ad Locks and Atlas-Locks and Shark-Locks and any Back-Locks. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Does the pivot screw come out completely or just on the one side?

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When taking one of the apart, it's perfectly fine to tear them down completely. I just choose to only take things apart as far as, I need to. These are very well built folders that are easy to disassemble and pull maintenance on. Just remember to not over tighten the screws; they just need to be finger tight. I hope this helps... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

    Found these for $33 clip point and tanto for $42... SR1 Lite, should I buy one? Code 4 Tanto for $78, which one???

    • @Kris_Stiletto
      @Kris_Stiletto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well... That depends... Do you want a lighter and easier folder to EDC? Or, do you want a nearly indestructible Tank that you will feel in your pocket, due to it's weight? The are opposites when it comes to strength and wieght. The SR1 Series is one of the strongest Cold Steel Folders Adrew Demko ever designed for Cold Steel; it's super tough. Where as Andrew Demko designed the Code 4 to be easy on the pocket and lighter to EDC everyday... You must decide... :-) If I was you, I'd get both... :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

      I ended up buying a SR1 Tanto and only paid $29.73... It was $43 and I got $15 off for downloading and first use of the Amazon shopping app. I couldn't pass it up, under $30 for this knife... Amazing!!!
