I also bought a gear indicator in this shop before, my model is also Z750 2008, its plug is suitable for my motorcycle, this gear indicator is suitable for Z750 2007-2009. As far as I know, there are three types of Kawasaki gear indicators sold in YLYD stores. If you don't see the model and year of your motorcycle on the details page of this gear indicator, you can check out the other two.
i skipped your video first because it was so long and repetitive and when my indicator was not working and the vendor couldn't even help and only blame my wiring out of no choice i decided to watch each and every one of them and there i discovered the problem that the red goes to white and white goes to red. how dumb could that be. anyway you saved my life i was almost going to throw it in the garbage. now the problem is it either shows 0 in neutral or 1 in any gear selected and happens instantly even without releasing the clutch. with the engine off and ignition off it shows 0 or 6. at least i know that the wiring is correct and diagnostics data is coming in. i'll figure out the next step or if someone wants to share their experience. wish i never got this display wasted so much of my time for nothing, not ike i even needed it but coming from older motorcycles i was excited to explore this option
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHH, this saved me money and nerves. I was about to give up just to find out that the instructions were wrong. Works like a charm now
