From a developer on Steam Discussions Scum Bug reports "Thank you for reaching out, the issue is only in visual nature as we added destruction particles to the chests, it will be fixed in the next update." From what I've read and experienced it only happens inside your base area. You can only move the chest around inside your base area now. It's not a bug it's a feature.
@@TheGoodishGamer I'm about half way through the video. I tend to comment as I watch the video so I don't forget what to comment about later. Even a short video like this can take quite a while to watch because of interruptions I've got 6 chest in the truck and the storage rack mostly full. I even carry around vehicle parts to repair vehicles for other players. Just helped another payer to get a Laika going last night. He drove a quad around with 3 tires because 3 tires I all I had to put on it to find a Laika with a drivers seat because I had left the drivers seat back at my base
When you was at the log rack getting logs you couldn't put a log in your hands but, next time try clearing out an area in your backpack and try putting one there.
IMO closing a vehicle door when you get out is a good idea. I got out of my vehicle in the C3 town just to check a garage on the side of the road only to hear the vehicle driving off while inside the garage. The bad thing is if they would have just asked i would have bought them a vehicle.
The chicken. Sometimes she's there and sometimes she just wants you to think she's there and don't show up until you take the time to look for her. I've cooked a few Peking duck and still have 5 or so chickens in the refrigerator. one of my favorite foods to cook.

Things like glue will come in handy if you do the quests. I'm loading down multiple chest with items like that for the quests.

@@TheGoodishGamer That was a few soft wipes ago. Fortunately anything like that hasn't happened in a long time and only happened a couple of times.
