We got the Meta Quest 3 for Christmas for our kids and I'm not sure how comparable it is to the PSVR2 but I think any VR system is pretty amazing. We had the original Oculus for a long time and it was pretty wild to experience but MQ3 definitely takes the cake. I'd say don't regret it at all, you're going to have fun with it regardless and that's all that matters, especially once you grab a couple of games for it. That's hard to pass up for the price you paid! And maybe in the future you could get a Meta Quest and then do a comparison video.
Honestly, it depends on what you need. They have their pros and cons, but they are both awesome. The freedom of no wires makes the Quest 3 #1 for a lot of people. The trade-off there is that limits power and features that can be packed into the quest. So, as a result, the game looks and runs better. Then there are headset haptics, controller adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback, eye tracking, foveated rendering, oled that people find immersed even more. Some of that comes at the cost of the wire, which makes the quest superior for most regardless of those higher end features. Neither lacks games, but the quest has more exclusive games. Love both.
Not yet played the Ori games, but because of the praise it gets, that's why I made sure we had it in the collection at least. YES on the lights--up all the time in the game room! We have Mario coins, Zelda rupees, and D20 lights hanging year long. Sonic Generations was such a neat experience. We sent some massive store display posters to Sega Head; seemed like a good idea at the time. Loved Until Dawn--a great choice to have physically. Nice on Wet--I've been seeing more people finally pick this up; it's a good little gem, fun and a great soundtrack. Ooooh, very cool on the PSVR2; Lady Laci loved the first unit and she's wanted to get this one, so it may be time to look around and see what pricing is like in our area. Great price on your end! Even with the charging station. Tom here--I think I have the same issue as you with 3D...though my vision probably is not as good to begin with anyway.
From someone who spends about 50% of gaming in VR with a multitudes of headsets, psvr2 is a treat. There are currently 300+ games. The foveated rendering, eye tracking and oled is truly remarkable. Here are some of my favs. Vertigo 2, Synaspse, Crossfire, Song in the smoke Rekindled, Madison, Walkabout golf, Galaxy Kart, Red Matter 1&2, Demons. And, of course, the best Hybrid games. GT7, RE4, REVillage, No Man Sky

My oldest daughter loves Ori. I had no idea NFS Carbon was a sequel to Most Wanted. I still need most wanted. My buddy talked me into buying Wet I haven't checked it out yet though
If youre happy with your purchase then it was never wasted. In 2024 I learned to stop listening to the opinions of others since they all seem to not like most things, negativity gets more views. I started buying and watching things critically hated and learned, in my opinion, they are actually good!
No such thing as wasting money if it makes you happy. To be honest Naughty Bear is a great concept but the framerate makes my girlfriend sick on it. I still need to pick up a VR2, one day I'll grab one, but that price is off putting.

Wet is a lot of fun. Closest thing we got to a Kill Bill game. The any flaw comes at the end of the game(I won’t spoil it).
