Fun fact, that’s the location of the old skydiving simulator that was a staple landmark at that intersection, with Wet’n Wild and Skull Kingdom on each side of the street from it. Skull Kingdom was the grassy area next to the IHOP and Wet’n Wild of course was where Surfside is now. iDrive of the 90s 😩
Wow! I remember passing by Skull Kingdom as a kid. Orlando in the 90’s what a awesome time.
Might have to check this one out next time if the price is right.
😂 who are we kidding. You know how to book. You will for sure have a room at Aventura.
Great Video , how long does the pool stay open ?
Thanks!, These are the hours listed on their site. So it subject to change but they are 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Daily
Might have to check it out if the price is good. I use to stay at dockside all the time but it’s just been way to packed and the walls are paper thin which drives me crazy. Best western gateway has been my fav hotel in the area it’s nice enough and quiet and super cheap and right next to dockside. Usually get it for $60-$80 a night
Yeah Dockside can be a hit or miss. The 3 bed room is so nice but I dislike the elevator situation every time I’m there. Oh is the best western right behind dockside?
@@ZombieChris yeh this year was prob my last time staying at dockside (been staying there since it opened every year) I stayed 5 nights and couldn’t get a single night full sleep because how thin the walls were and kids running around constantly. Love the hotel itself but I can just walk to it from best western. Yeh it’s called best western gateway Orlando. It’s right next to dockside. They also have a suite room that is very big space wise. I will be trying out aventura all next week got a good rate for it $116 a night
Can you just walk to the other hotel and use the bus transportation to the parks? Do they ask for any hotel reservations etx?
Yes, you can walk over to surfside and use the bus transportation. No hotel reservations needed. Same goes for the boats at City Walk. Anyone can use them. If you would like to go the other universal hotels to walk around.
Many thanks Chris for the reply. @@ZombieChris One last question. Do you know how frequently they ride to the parks? And do they mention to which park they will be going? Its my first time to universal, as well as my first time in the US. So i would like to be prepared what to expect.
Great video, lots of info. Thanks Chris!
Thanks! My first attempt at doing a hotel overview / review. I'll give more of these a go in the future.
