    Any Beethoven 's creation .....is still Beethoven's.. Regardless how many instruments play it. Great 5 dimensional interpretation of the greatest Master

    From 3:33 until the theme is... frighteningly powerful.

    Really enjoyable performance. Pity I knew nothing of this when doing summer schools! Ries's instrumentation of the piano part articulates the music in such a way that it becomes transparent what is really happening in the harmonic developments. It does full justice to the original. And the performance is so very spirited. I especially liked the Andante variations and their distribution.

    .......I did not think this would work but am pleasantly surprised. In spite of that I still prefer the original version......but not because this transcription sound "wrong" in any way. Congratulations!

      Is this Beethoven's transcription? But IO agree fully: I was skeptical, but it does work....and I too prefer the original (but I am a pianist).

      This concert was part of the chamber music series of the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra. The place of the performance was the foyer of the Lucerne Theater.

    Magnificent. The transcription is perfect. Any chance Beethoven himself is responsible for the transcription?

      Boyce Cabaniss Yes! That's very much a possibility, but it can't be said for sure (from what I know at least)

      Arranged by Beethoven's pupil Ferdinand Ries and published in 1832.

    • @StuartSimon
      @StuartSimon 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ComposersbyNumbers That makes sense. Beethoven himself preferred viola quintets to cello quintets, and we have examples of viola quintets from him, but no cello quintets. Schubert and Ries were cultivating chamber genres they discovered independently of each other; another example is the piano quintet with double bass.

    • @regpat5283
      @regpat5283 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here. Hard call. The piano is sooo rumbly and powerful in original! A beast of a bass. I guess it seems fitting.

    De quien es este arreglo ?

    • @MrCellissimo
      @MrCellissimo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hola, existe un arreglo en imslp.org del cual no se sabe se es de Beethoven mismo. Lo usamos como base pero a decir la verdad hay tantas cosas ilógicas en este tal areglo que terminamos por cambiar muchísimas cosas y finalmente es casi como un nuevo arreglo de nosotros.
