Lol. Bad news for you guys... Japan does not care about globalizing their music. Quite the opposite, they practically hoard their best output and keep it mostly for their country. They could crossover globally but they're terrified of disrupting their delicate music industry system in favor of shady gaijin business practices. Just look at what happened with Shiina Ringo & her band Toyko Jihen, who 100% would have had international appeal- she never performed overseas... now she's just another nationalist performer, mostly hidden from the rest of the world, not the household name she could've been. Japan is so isolated that they can sell physical copies of music to their own people better than practically anywhere else in the world. It's entirely unique and nobody knows what will break their barriers down, if ever. Can you blame them for not wanting to?
