Great documentory, lived there in the sixties (as a child), first in Lancaster Square, then Hastings Drive... so many happy memories and your documentory brings them all back. Teachers att eh Primary School inlcuded Mr Barker (Head). Mr Carter, Mr Bosenquet, Mr MUrphy before going onto Calne for one year before Father was posted to Belgium. Other memories was the Chippy (McFees?) where my Mum worked for awhile, certainly Hancocks cycle shop, the papershop, Library (with its very distinctive smell of old books)butchers and the village store, where, as a cub scout helped fill shelves etc. Old Scout hut which must have been demolished to build Pound Close? and the building of a 'new' one by Lancaster Sq. Summer Fetes up at the Village Hall.....As I said, many happy memories, thank you

Delighted you enjoyed it. Many thanks for your very kind comments. We must have been at Lyneham school at about the same time. My dad, Roger Hughes, was school caretaker from 1953 to 1981.
