would not say too tough but they definitely are not like the usual turns or hairpins. If you have good grip on your car and can control the speed, you will be able to cover it without issues. And it will be a great experience. It would be easier with automatic car. Ours is manual and was a good experience.
I'm planning to go to Ooty soon. I'll be starting from Koramangala around 5:30 am. Can you please suggest some good breakfast places with decent restrooms on the way? Thanks.
We just came back from Ooty. We stopped at Paakshala Channapatna for breakfast. Food was good. www.google.com/search?sca_esv=007750bc5aee6945&rlz=1CDGOYI_enIN807IN808&hl=en-GB&sxsrf=ADLYWIL4E1WlVP1PVC4bjHyj2KgF7opuIw%3A1730117871921&kgmid=%2Fg%2F11vhy8hq6q&q=Paakashala%20Channapatna&shndl=30&source=sh%2Fx%2Floc%2Fact%2Fm4%2F3 Other place we stopped(which was okay) is mentioned in the video
Mudumalai route has many hairpins just before entering Ooty but the road condition is better. Masinagudi route would be relatively easier to drive. When we went, some stretch of the road was under construction so faced bad road. If that is complete, then this could be the option.
When returning from Ooty, are they allowing other state vehicles to take the hairpin route? The last time I visited, there were some restrictions. Also, do we require an e-pass to travel to Ooty now? Thanks
If your car is automatic, you would definitely be able to manage. Otherwise, if you are confident with the car’s control at inclined space and can maintain speed to gear ratio, should not be too much a problem. There is always a first time. we can always go slow and manage 😊
We have not really used any car rental services, so might not be the right people to comment on this. But zoomcar, revv and Ola are quite known in this segment.
Hi hello, I find that the video was uploaded 9 days ago. In the video, the Bandipur and Mudumalai forest looks lush green, which is generally not in the winter months. Can u confirm the exact date of capturing the forest video. Because I want to visit when the forest when they are lush green. Pls confirm.
We have not been to Ooty in May. The weather should be comfortable (not as pleasant as winter months though). Oct onwards (post monsoon) till Feb is perfect to get the best of Ooty weather.
There are hairpin turns in this stretch and pretty sharp ones. If yours is an automatic car, then there is no issue at all. Our is manual (which I prefer) and by not speeding too much in the turns, it can be covered without any problems. There will always be a first time 🙂. Go for it ! It’s a great experience.
Recently I went to ooty it’s so peaceful 😌😌
So true! Serene and beautiful 👌🏻

Are the bends in last 40 kms too tough ? I am comfortable in driving on NH, but yet to make a trip to hilly areas.

@i103772 Happy journey 😊
Which is the best route in terms of safe and easy driving? Is it Bandipur > Masinagudi > Kalhatty or Bandipur > Mudumalai > Gudaluru
Mudumalai route has many hairpins just before entering Ooty but the road condition is better.
Masinagudi route would be relatively easier to drive. When we went, some stretch of the road was under construction so faced bad road. If that is complete, then this could be the option.
@@90sec Hii.. In Masinagudi route how many hairpin bends comes?
Around 36 hair pins
Ooty ❤

No e-pass required.
Other state number plate vehicles are not allowed to return from hairpin route.
@90sec Thanks again 😊
