Sunday 21 April 2024. 7:55pm Am definitely coming back to the heart of worship. Been way so far for too long. Can't waste any more time. Am sorry Lord. I have sinned and fallen short of your glory. Heal me, cleanse me, wash me and save me. I need you Jesus. Here I am.

This song just reminds me that I need to stop walk away from God with all those earthly temptations. I need to give everything to God, so that God can give his plans to me for me to work for him and in him.
We are so tempted by this world. Blessing to read this, I needed to realize that about myself that I am so tempted and by earthly things that make me walk away...
I am having troubles right now. I know that God is still with me. Listening to this song makes me trust Him more. Let us all come back to the heart of worship. .

It's not about the music. God does not require good voice or nice instruments. He only requires a humble and willing heart to worship Him. Worship is a lifestyle 😇 What an amazing God!
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16 A young woman loved to sing to the Lord until one day a professional choir visited her church. They sang so beautifully that she was ashamed and never sang again. When she passed away and stood before Jesus, He asked her, "Daughter, I missed your lovely songs of praise. Why did you stop singing?" "Lord, I was ashamed when I heard the beautiful choir sing," she said. Jesus replied, "What choir? I never heard them." Don't silence a voice of praise because you compared yourself to someone else. Remember who you are doing this for.
I'm the same ... lived in sin for 40 years JJB ... found Christ by asking to truly KNOW Him in January, got baptised at 56 on May 5th and i encourage you to read the Bible DAILY, and to PRAY DAILY too and to find a church where your faith can GROW cos there is SO much EVIL in this world all lead by Satan ... you need to strengthen your faith DAILY. Keep your eyes, heart and mind on HIM and your life will be SO BLESSED and i hope you will say HEY to me in Heaven! Amen brother! Live IN HIM!
This song was ahead of its time. This, to me, is the most beautiful worship song ever written. It’s coming from a heart that just desires to simply worship Jesus. When all the lights and sounds are taken away, it’s our hearts that remain. Let us always worship in spirit and in truth and always with a pure heart of love and desire for Jesus
June 8, 2020 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength --Mark 12:30 We must worship God in a genuine and heartfelt way. That way pleases God. Let's continue to worship and thank God for all the blessings He has given to us. Love one another and bring peace to everyone, may this pandemic end soon in Lord's gracious time. We put all our trust in You Lord. MAY THE LORD BE THE CENTER OF OUR LIFE. IN JESUS NAME, we admire, respect, value, revere, honor and appreciate You Oh Lord. AMEN.
23 years ago I was being drawn to Christ by others that God placed in my life. One of those blessed persons gave me the worship album by Michael W Smith. I remember surrendering my life to Christ while listening to this song preformed by him. Thank you Jesus 🙌
I'm reading the book WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?|THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE by Rick Warren....I just got introduced to this song....it's really beautiful
I feel like the prodigal son, getting caught up in so many distrations and now finally realizing my mistake, I want to return home to Jesus. I love you Lord, it's all about You, it has been and always will be.
"I'm coming back to the heart of worship And it's all about you, It's all about you, Jesus I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it When it's all about you, It's all about you, Jesus" The heart of Worship ~ Matt Redman "I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it" The THING I've made it, that's pretty heavy, when I first read these lyrics, some twenty years ago, I couldn't help but look around at the Church I was attending, and a sober reality came over me, we have turned our worship into a show. We had a huge sound system, mood lighting, and a list of songs that seemed to focus more on how we felt than who GOD is and what HE has done. I realized I was in a "Seeker Sensitive" church so the obvious next move was to leave. Since then I have been to many churches of varying denominations, some small and some large, and it's more than alarming that what is mostly missing is JESUS. Sure, many churches have great programs for children and youth, exciting music, nice auditoriums with comfortable seating, friendly greeters and even small coffee stations with snacks. But rarely have I found expository preaching, with pastors that are willing to address the difficult issues that have infiltrated the church. I've seen women and men coming to Church looking like they've been to the beach or a rodeo, clothing that is far too revealing, men wearing cowboy hats in service, all of this shows a complete lack of respect & reverence for the LORD GOD. One pastor told me, we don't want you to play any songs that mention the blood of Jesus or the Holy Spirit because we don't want to offend or frighten people away. the only thing that I would think of was, then why don't you change the name of your church from Community Church to community Center, because without the Holy Spirit and the Blood of Jesus this is just a gathering of goats looking for fuzzy warm feelings. Matt Redman was correct "It's all about you, Jesus".
I'm glad I've read this comment. As I was listening to this song, I was confused on what "I'm sorry Lord, for the thing I've made it" meant. What you said defines it perfectly. Thank you, Friend.
This is profound. I hope you've found a church that honors God with the whole of the scripture and with their actions as well as words. They exist but they're hard to find. God bless you, brother.
Very well said, I have felt this way for a few years now. Still looking for a good church where Jesus Christ is Supreme and the people strive to live in and serve Him.
I love this, because it is a privilege to praise and worship the almighty God. The bible even says he could tell the rocks to worship him and they will, but he loves us and gave us that privilege.
God is truly a God of chances many times I stumble down and feel hopeless but God made me realize that I need a Heart of Worship...Thanks Lord Jesus for being there for me.....Heart of Worship is what me makes me feel complete each day...
When I feel too far away from God., I'm reminded to come back to the heart of worship. His faithfulness still amazes me to this day that He never casts me away, He draws me back to Himself. This now, is the heart of worship.
I have seen so many people who love this. It's very therapeutic! Jesus certainly is therapeutic!! He is our Great Physician, our Friend, our Shepherd, our Savior, our returning King. What would we do without Him? " Without Me, ye can do nothing,". He said. Oh, how true! The older I get, believe me, it's so true! Thank You, Lord Jesus Christ that You really do know each of us perfectly. You know how to help each of us. There's no one like You.
Thank You Jesus always calling us back no matter how far we’ve drifted from You...You alone are worthy and due our worship. To praise You forever is our joy our purpose and duty...Let us ALWAYS acknowledge Your grace and mercy with our lives!!!🙏❤️🙏
Had gone apostatic, due to some really tough times.but this is the real deal, heart piercing annointed worship.that heart of stone has been crushed..#restoration
We are creatures of habit. If we don’t find ways to remind ourselves why we do what we do, we’re prone to just go through the motions, if not adopt some new underlying motivation altogether. Which can be especially dangerous in worship. For songwriter and worship-leader Matt Redman, this lesson came in a remarkable experience that was both personal and corporate. In the late 1990s, the preaching pastor at Redman’s church in Watford, England, sensed that their worship gatherings were going flat spiritually, that the congregation was going through the motions, and worship wasn’t flowing from the heart, like true Christian worship must. “There was a dynamic missing,” says Redman, “so the pastor did a pretty brave thing. He decided to get rid of the sound system and band for a season, and we gathered together with just our voices. His point was that we’d lost our way in worship, and the way to get back to the heart would be to strip everything away.” More Than a Song During this season, the pastor challenged the congregation to be participants in worship, not consumers. To come ready to engage with God for themselves, from the heart, not just watch with their eyes. He wanted them to come as worshipers, not as concert-goers. With the band and sound system gone, it made for an unforgettable time in the life of the church as they sanga cappella only - and for an unforgettable lesson about worship. “Before long,” says Redman, “we reintroduced the musicians and sound system, as we’d gained a new perspective that worship is all about Jesus, and he commands a response in the depths of our souls no matter what the circumstance and setting. ‘The Heart of Worship’ simply describes what occurred.” All About Jesus Imagine that experience as you sing, “When the music fades, all is stripped away, and I simply come. . . . You search much deeper within. . . . You’re looking into my heart.” Good music, catchy beats, talented musicians, even the friends and loved ones with whom we worship - these are all good things, and wonderful in the context of corporate worship. And yet when we focus on them, rather than Jesus, we are losing the heart in our worship. Jesus said to the Samaritan woman in John 4:24, “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” The essence of worship is not the many good externals, but heart and head. Spirit and truth. Our spirit, stirred by the Holy Spirit, in worship over true things about God, his Son, and his gospel. The heart of worship is our heart, delighting in Jesus and expressing praise to him for the true things the Scriptures teach us about who he is and what he has accomplished for us. It is, then, “all about” Jesus, not us. It involves us, but we’re at the periphery. He’s at the center. He’s the focus. It’s his commands we consider first, not our preferences. Redman’s song is about refocusing, and re-centering, and reminding ourselves why we worship - and who we worship. Coming Back It is also a song of repentance and re-consecration, not just in worship, but all of life. Periodically, we all need a soul check. “Let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12). We’re so easily distracted from the main things - especially from the main person, Jesus. Hear these words in a spirit of worship and with a heart of repentance for how prone we are to wander and how often this has been not just Matt Redman’s story, but our own. Jesus is greatly honored when we bring ourselves, with the Holy Spirit’s help, back to the heart of worship again and again.

This is a song that the devil does not want us to sing!!!!!!!!! I know from personal experience.About 6yrs ago I was sleeping one night and was awakened by the sound of this song playing clearly from my next door neighbor's car, who was going to work. This NEVER happens. I never hear anything from her going to work, especially not loud music. Anyway, I love Jesus and that song, so I began to sing, but when I got to "it's all about you, Jesus," the blanket on my chest moved up and tightly pulled down across my throat!!! I easily pulled it back down, but could NOT say JESUS at ALL! I had to fight with all my might to sing it and to say Jesus. All the other words came out of my mouth, but no sound or ability to say Jesus. I had to say it in my head as I sang with defiance! Finally "Jesus" came out of my mouth! I was so overjoyed I probably sang that song over and over for about an hour before falling back to sleep. I told my pastor about it and we sang that song at every service after that for months!!!!!!!!!
The Heart of Worship: In the Bible, heart means mind. This song is a declaration that we are choosing to meditate and focus on bowing down (worshiping) to God's way of doing things instead of our own.
This has made me realise. I’ve been longing for an encounter with god and making it about me and what I want. When worship is about glorifying god because when we do so he comes to us. It’s not about us it’s about Jesus 💗
To everyone that is listening and reading this comment, may God bless you today with His abundant peace and freedom through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
Wow! I almost forgot about this song! I loved it as a child...definitely one of my faves. I recently became a born again Christian on August 16, 2020. God has already worked wonders on my heart in such a short amount of time....his ability to transform a wretch like me is proof of how powerful he is. All the honor, glory, and praise goes to my Lord Jesus Christ! My personal Lord and Savior forever and ever, amen!!!!
This song got me through back in February of this year my nephew lost his battle with his addiction. I had a amazing relationship with him. He was more like a son , I miss him at the time of his passing I had to step up and I didn't grieve right away . Everyday that went by through that time I just went to a heart of worship and love to see my nephew through to the Lord. I took comfort in knowing he knew him . The one who carries all or sins. I love you and I miss you Justin Lloyd Armstrong. Not the same without you . See you when I get there!
Everything's all about You Jesus. Im sorry for the things i've made it, but it's ALL about You!!! Im cmg back to the 💖 of worship. I'll praise u Lord and glorify u, lift u up so high. Most importantly, here's my 💛, my body, my soul, my everything, i give to You Abba Father. U will never leave me nor forsake me.
This is such an inspiring song. I just randomly thought of it today and it brought me here and it's like 20+ years old now or something like that. Thanks again for sharing and may God bless!
Worship has always been in my heart. It was God who showed me what I was longing for when I did not understand the hunger within me. More than a song. ❤
I always know what is going on when I start singing this to myself, and I play it and just bawl... like I am now. I love You, Jesus and I need You always 🙏❤️
Simply come as you are and like fine gold, God will guide you through the most divine inner peace and healing you will ever feel deep down in your soul. The light of my life has victoriously loved me. The eldest member of my family chose to seek the end of the tunnels to find my destiny in the comfort of his home. That glory is my first priority. God bless.
When the music fades All is stripped away And I simply come Longing just to bring Something that's of worth That will bless your heart I'll bring you more than a song For a song in itself Is not what you have required You search much deeper within Through the way things appear You're looking into my heart I'm coming back to the heart of worship And it's all about you, It's all about you, Jesus I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it When it's all about you, It's all about you, Jesus King of endless worth No one could express How much you deserve Though I'm weak and poor All I have is yours Every single breath I'll bring you more than a song For a song in itself Is not what you have required You search much deeper within Through the way things appear You're looking…

I love how this song is telling us we are paying more attention to the instruments and how the song sounds, but we aren't paying attention to the most important part, worshipping God.

A huge reminder to and for all believers, y'all know Who the heart of worship is. Shalom, Amen And Amen.
2021💕 Everytime I listen to this song, It always makes me cry and realize how blessed I am and reminds me that I can't do anything without Him☝💕
Me too Amen God bless
This song is Perfect…how can you be in a bad mood after listening to this song
Same sentiments. May the LORD continue to strengthen us and to cause us to walk with Him in an unwavering manner. Shalom!
I'm a grown man, and I be in tears as I listen to this song. We serve an awesome GOD!
Yes, we want to bring SOMETHING that’s of worth that will bless YOUR HOLY HEART, JESUS! Halleluia

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength --Mark 12:30
We must worship God in a genuine and heartfelt way. AMEN.
Amen
23 years ago I was being drawn to Christ by others that God placed in my life. One of those blessed persons gave me the worship album by Michael W Smith. I remember surrendering my life to Christ while listening to this song preformed by him. Thank you Jesus 🙌
I cant wait for all of us to be in His kingdom and rejoicing in His name.
It's all about you Jesus 2024✋🥰😘
I'm reading the book WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?|THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE by Rick Warren....I just got introduced to this song....it's really beautiful
It's all about YOU, Jesus.
I love this song so much,it gives me a very peaceful feeling.GOD is so good.He never forsaken me and my children.
I feel like the prodigal son, getting caught up in so many distrations and now finally realizing my mistake, I want to return home to Jesus. I love you Lord, it's all about You, it has been and always will be.
"I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about you,
It's all about you, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about you,
It's all about you, Jesus" The heart of Worship ~ Matt Redman
"I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it" The THING I've made it, that's pretty heavy, when I first read these lyrics, some twenty years ago, I couldn't help but look around at the Church I was attending, and a sober reality came over me, we have turned our worship into a show.
Thank you for sharing this
Very well said, I have felt this way for a few years now. Still looking for a good church where Jesus Christ is Supreme and the people strive to live in and serve Him.
Thank you Our Lord God for giving us a privilege to Worship you:)
I love this, because it is a privilege to praise and worship the almighty God. The bible even says he could tell the rocks to worship him and they will, but he loves us and gave us that privilege.
Obeth Laure Amen
Obeth Laure amen to that I need Jesus and I love Jesus

2022 and I still coming back to the heart of Worship🙌🏼
I cannot listen to this song without crying. 🙏🏾😩
God is truly a God of chances many times I stumble down and feel hopeless but God made me realize that I need a Heart of Worship...Thanks Lord Jesus for being there for me.....Heart of Worship is what me makes me feel complete each day...

th-cam.com/video/AJz60PyDoQY/w-d-xo.html
When I feel too far away from God., I'm reminded to come back to the heart of worship. His faithfulness still amazes me to this day that He never casts me away, He draws me back to Himself. This now, is the heart of worship.
Did you ever leave it?
😭❤️❤️❤️
Though I am weak and poor all I have you my Jesus Christ .. hallelujah.. Lord..
Feeling blessed
Had gone apostatic, due to some really tough times.but this is the real deal, heart piercing annointed worship.that heart of stone has been crushed..#restoration
Amen praise jesus.
So happy you retraced your step
Singing and praising God is not about the music or how well you sing,
it is about God!
Heard this song for the first time today and I think I'll add this to our choir's list. What a beautiful song.
This song is so touch my heart.Amen I'm coming back to the heart of worship Jesus
His point was that we’d lost our way in worship, and the way to get back to the heart would be to strip everything away.”
More Than a Song
During this season, the pastor challenged the congregation to be participants in worship, not consumers.
‘The Heart of Worship’ simply describes what occurred.”
All About Jesus
Imagine that experience as you sing, “When the music fades, all is stripped away, and I simply come. . .
Coming Back
It is also a song of repentance and re-consecration, not just in worship, but all of life.
Jesus is greatly honored when we bring ourselves, with the Holy Spirit’s help, back to the heart of worship again and again.
where can i find this testimony????

my pleasure! :)
after reading this all I can say is my soul does magnify the Lord!!!@
BLESS THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whenever you feel that you are losing your faith, but you still have worship in your heart. Bless the Lord, O' my soul.
I listened to this song a lot 25 years ago. nice to listen. Memory renews experiences.. Nostalgia. Praise and Thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ!
I am amazed at how easily we can shift from Jesus to Me. So I constantly bow my head to return to the heart - Jesus.
There isn't a song that can express the power of Jesus Christ!! Amen
This is a song that the devil does not want us to sing!!!!!!!!!
I know from personal experience.About 6yrs ago I was sleeping
one night and was awakened by the sound of
this song playing clearly from my next door neighbor's car, who was going to work. This NEVER happens. I never hear anything from her going to work, especially not loud music.
Anyway, I love Jesus and that song, so I began to sing, but when I got to "it's all about you, Jesus," the blanket on my chest moved up and tightly pulled down across my throat!!! I easily pulled it back down, but could NOT
say JESUS at ALL!
Everytime i feel like i need to come back to Jesus.. this song is helping me
Me too :)
The Heart of Worship: In the Bible, heart means mind. This song is a declaration that we are choosing to meditate and focus on bowing down (worshiping) to God's way of doing things instead of our own.
I heard this song last week …Now its my favorite and keep playing everyday❤
Let's stay still and know that Jesus is GOD. Amen.
This has made me realise. I’ve been longing for an encounter with god and making it about me and what I want. When worship is about glorifying god because when we do so he comes to us. It’s not about us it’s about Jesus 💗
Had that same feeling. It's all about Him☝️
To everyone that is listening and reading this comment, may God bless you today with His abundant peace and freedom through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
We need to continue to remember this every minute every day. Jesus be the Centre of my life.
I played this song a million times will God save the world
No matter what happened... You can always come back 🔙
You're forgiven my child. ❤️
I love listening this song. My most favorite christian song... because our lives is all about Jesus 💖💖💖
I was searching for a song to present in a Church, when I heard this I really cried... I felt every words within... I'm coming back to you Jesus!!!

God bless.
When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless your heart
I'll bring you more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what you have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about you,
It's all about you, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about you,
It's all about you, Jesus
King of endless worth
No one could express
How much you deserve
Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is yours
Every single breath
I'll bring you more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what you have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking…
Thank u

God is in control. ✝
Powerful song! Feel seriously fearless as I drift in with these words " It's all about you.. Jesus.
Shared the song over with friends at home and abroad...
Glory to God as ever.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16
A young woman loved to sing to the Lord until one day a professional choir visited her church.
I love how this song is telling us we are paying more attention to the instruments and how the song sounds, but we aren't paying attention to the most important part, worshipping God.
No matter what I do. I always come back to this song. I will always bring you a song of worship. You are what my heart desires for eternity lord. All my blessings I’ve ever had, which had not been plenty. But I will forever thank you for
