Oh my god! You just made me realise something! Why don't NetherRealm make a Star Wars fighting game! Like injustice. Yeah there's battlefront but this would be different. It would be hard to get the permission thing though
I was watching another person live stream this and they were okay-ish with Kung Jin until they found out he was gay. Then everyone only commented on him being gay and being a "trash character". Freaking unbelievable...
Lamard Branch Implications and subtlety make things much more interesting and help avoid cliché character writing. That's something I like about MKX. All the characters feel way more fleshed out than in any other game in the series.
Don't like how reckless and hot-headed Kung Jin is. This dude needs to learn some self control really bad. The way he handled Kotal Kahn was impressive though. He's got a way with words at least.
Kotal Kahn is Aztec inspired. Everything from head to toe is accurate to an Aztec Eagle warrior. As for the piercings, these were worn by the leaders. I actually main Kotal Kahn and use his Sun God and War God variations. The giant sword he uses in War God was one of the primary weapons for the Aztecs.
He was actually worshipped as a god in Earthrealm, but by the Mayans. You can hear Rain call him Buluc. Buluc-Chabtan is the Mayan God of War and Violence.
CalyGamer13 I didn't know about that Mayan thing, interesting. Now I am a bit confused. Kotal Kahn's clothing and weaponry seems to be more of that of an Aztec, and Ed Boon at E3 said something like this is our Aztec warrior. Why would he be worshiped by Mayans and not Aztecs?
Aztec_Eagle13 According to Kotal Kahn's in-game bio he was worshiped by the Mayans as Buluc, the god of War. Buluc Chaptan was a real god in the Mayan pantheon in fact.
There's no doubt he was based on the Aztecs. Like for one his helmet looks more akin to the Aztec God of War Huitzilopochtli, than the Mayan Buluc-Chabtan. It was probably just a blunder on the writers of story, they probably got there mythologies mixed up. Like in MK9 Nightwolf calls Raiden Haokah, who is the God of Thunder for the Lakhota. Nightwolf's people aren't Lakhota though, they're Apaches.
CalyGamer13 I see. Thanks for the information. I am not too familiar with Mayan related things. I know mainly about Aztecs: how they were formed, their culture, their final 8 month siege confrontation battle with Cortez and his alliance who were basically people oppressed and enemies of the Aztecs, etc. I am also familiar with all the tribes of the state I live in, Nevada. The writers should do a better job, keep all their facts on point.
People calling kung jin an asshole and making such a fuss about his character. But what most people don't realize that in every group of friends, there's always that asshole archetype, every group has to have one because it keeps the dynamic that more interesting so having all that goodie buddy tends to get stale after awhile. In short kung jin is another great addition to the team.
CamTheKitty hey he did redeem himself in a diplomatic way, without him the whole team would be dead regardless of kung jin interference about the public execution. We all gotta remember, this younger generation are cocky and a bunch of assholes which is pretty accurate reflection on today's society.
I don't wanna be "that guy"...but honestly who gives 2 shits about a character's sexuality. It doesn't affect gameplay in any way, shape or form Because idk about you, whether or not my character likes people of the same sex is literally the FIRST thing that comes to my mind when I'm disrespecting people with Brutalities.
***** I didn't like Kung Jin or thought he was interesting at all before the game came out. his sexuality changed NOTHING in my interest (or lack thereof) in him. tbh, being gay does little to nothing with his personality which really comes off as a bit douchey.
WHY IS HE GAY? raiden only said" they only care about you and not whom you desire" this could mean anything. It could mean hes in love with someone from the netherrealm or something. Dont jump to conclusion
Erron Black: gunna kill u folks Kung Jin: you kill us, you get fucked. you bring us in, you might get a raise Erron Black: ....fuck i do want a chance for a raise...
I like the fact that the dude is gay, but outside of minor hints on story mode, his figure and actions remain neutral and genderless... He's a badass shaolin monk with a mystic bow-totem-beatstick, who might not be into girl's booty...
I'm realky happy of how MK handled him, Gay characters shouldnt be a walking stereotypes with a big sign pointing at them saying they're gay or them stating they're gay in every interaction with someone else
@@robsgamingchannel2077 EXACTLY,not every gay follows the stupid stereotype, some do but just cause some do doesn't mean that EVERYONE does it,also I love how they didn't just do what a lot of writers do,make the gay one super feminine, also they didn't need to do the "LOOK GUYS HE'S GAY" they just made it subtle yet clear, THAT'S how you write not only a gay character but any gay/lesbian character, they are not only they're sexuality, they are people too
I understand that this was right after mileena's attack with shinnok amulet and kotal kahn was weakened but it really desapointed me that he lost the fight to kung jin... even if kung jin has the strenght to become the next liu kang or the next kung lao I believe that at this time he was too crude to beat an outworld emperor
Thales Monteiro Well, it would've been cheap I think if they threw him at you at his full strength. But he couldn't match Shao Kahn either when Shao was still alive, so there is that. There's only been two Outworld Emperors that I can recall, with Kotal being the second.
***** Don't forget Onaga, the original Emperor of Outworld!Shao Kahn stole the throne from him. With poison. Shao Kahn had to poison him. That's all you need to know.
Man, Jin almost screwed the pooch there. Good thing he's got max ranks in diplomacy, but I'm sure the GM is going to screw him over for his "fuck up now talk way out of it later" style.
I'm really liking Kung Jin here! He seems much better than Liu Kang or Kung Lao now! And he sounds like Yu Narukami from Persona 4 (Also voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch) and I really like that!
Kung Jin was bullied for his homosexuality as a kid. No wonder he grew up to be kind of a hard ass. Probably proposed to his crush in middle school, only to recieve a brutal beating by all the kids in his school. He's used to being forced to fight back and smack talk whenever he feels threatened. As a grown man he hides that tender side of his personality to give off the guise of a manly warrior.
Kung Jin is the second cool gay character on fighting games history. The only other I've seen is Izanagi Yaci from Samurai Shodown Warriors Rage. Fights effectively, without unnecessary feminine gestures. Awesome!
I guess I'm one of the few who likes Kung Jin in totality. IMO without him, Cassie's team would be dull. A character inevitably had to fill the hardass mold and force certain aspects of the other teammates' personalities, either by his inquiry ("So how does having an ex-revenant for a father feel like?") or by actions ("not all thieves are irredeemable"). Given the personalities of the three others, I cannot see them provoking each other into spilling out specific aspects of their psyche like Kung Jin does... Maybe Takeda would have filled those shoes, but that would have contradicted his established character from the comics. Kung Jin plays the role well, and he has a fitting enough backstory for the role. And then there's that line from Raiden that everyone's talking about. It's always nice for players to have one thing or two to identify with their characters of choice, but I do agree with most people that one single bit is getting blown out of proportion. But let's not kid ourselves. Arguments were bound to happen, lol. Oh, and I feel comfortable with his gameplay as well. With most characters I've only found one variation to click with me, but Kung Jin is one who I feel I do well with using any variation.
2:36 that was an actually a farming tool that's Incas used to slaughter livestock and dig up crops it can split a cow in half with one hard swipe so it was an efficient weapon but is normally used to farm and it normally isn't painted like in that scene though in surprised they hadn't used that as a weapon and mostly use it as a farm tool it would have been extremely useful in battles
When going through the story mode the thought of Kung Jin being gay actually didn't even occur to me during that scene with Raiden. First thought that came to my head when he said they "dont accept" I thought he meant like scoundrel thiefs not being accepted by the shaolin, since thats who he was at that time. But if he is indeed suppose to be a "gay" character. Idk why it freaking matters. His personality doesnt scream gay for the homophobes, and his backstory can relate to many. He also has a cool moveset and shouldn't stop people from playing him just because of the idea that he might be gay.
AbelFrost It's obvious isn't it? Hes gay. Not many people have accepted gay people and think It's some dumb fad or disease. It was even worse long time ago.
A lot of comments of this video discussing video game diversity. Mk has a very open cast of characters. We've seen cats, cyborgs, vertically challenged, mysteriously disfigured, insects, undead, genetically cloned, and so much more. This is a universe where literally anything and anyone can be playable characters.
Diego De Souza Yeah, but that's the same during MK9 when I couldn't play as Baraka, or Reptile or Ermac or a majority of the other side that is not hero material or even the anti variant. I guess it's mostly the gradient graphs of "villains are playable in the arcade while protagonists are good guys and the main focus of the story." Sure we got to play Kotal Khan and D'Vorah, but they were sort of anti villain material.
Tony Davis okay, but what about Kenshi.... he's just there, in the story, like, he doesn't do anything "important", but he's always there, in the main scenes, i was a little annoyed by that.... he's my main since DA...... -_- P.S. i thought that were going to explain how and who in fucks name broke Kenshi's sword, but, nope.....
The fighting or the character? Kung Jin is awesome. Ferra/Torr is awesome in another way. I find them adorable for some reason. The way she's just a little girl and speaks to him like a dog is just too cute. Complete their story tower thing. Their ending explains a lot more about them. And it's very cool and well written
rocx conner Ferra/Torr suck combat wise (all your moves rely on Ferra being in place.), but I know Boon added such a complex character for a reason. Character wise, they're great! Savage, but at the same time somewhat adorable, and their story mode does make you like them even more.
Now the alliance has been forged! Kung-Jin has earned Kotal Khan's respect and his assistance in finding Mileena and the amulet! But what horrors await in Outworld! Find out next time on MORTAL KOMBAT X!!!!! (DBZ annoucer voice)
Does Erron remind any one else of Roland Deschain the Gunslinger from the Dark tower. His motives are completely different but he is gunslinger from another dimension.
Been watching this and the Best Friends playthrough kind of outta one eye and I just noticed the thing Kung Jin is throwing isn't actually Kung Lao's hat... that's a missed opportunity.
Jin seemed like to much of a dick head to me but I don't hate him Ive never really enjoyed him is all. Takeda is my favorite new character of mk x it's a really cool idea for a kenshi ninja basically. Kenshi is my main just for how awesome he is and his possessed variation is really cool.
Silas E. Quester How can you possibly... POSSIBLY like Jacqui Briggs? She is the lamest character in there. At least Kung has somewhat of a personality. He's an asshole but at least he is something...
since street fighter 4 was released capcom focused on adding and updating shit for one game for the past 7 years and will be releasing 5 at a later date. since mortal kombat 9 was released netherrealm made a new mortal kombat that has very high production value and seems to be leaps and bounds ahead of the previous mortal kombat , all of that for the past 4 years. plus imo mortal kombat has always had more variety and is more player friendly ie in 9 test your luck, challenges, etc.. to be fair capcom works on more games than netherrealm, but i think this is good evidence that street fighter really needs to re-divy up the use of its resources
Could someone possibly link me to the version of the Mortal Kombat theme being played at the beginning of these videos? Or just tell em the name of the rendition? I'd be appreciative.
I really appreciate how Jin is written. The Writers don't openly say he's gay; they are very subtle about it and makes the audience put two and two together. And not only is it NOT super in your face, but him being Gay doesn't make him a good character, his actions and decisions and the growth of his character makes him a Good. Thumbs up to Boon and Netherrealm for this.
Nice video as always man! But did you really like Kotal Kahn? I mean, not wanting to spoil anything, but as the chapter goes on I got the feeling he was much more of a "B-Class" character.
***** I think since most are used to Kahn & Shang Tsung they've become accustomed to the Outworld leaders being heavy hitters. By the time Netherealm/Midway got to the antagonists from the other realms the quality of the games and newer characters tapered off which kept the fans mind firmly fixed on Outworld characters. This in turn spawned the reboot MK9 which went back to focusing on the superior Outworld characters all over again so by the time they needed to announce a new Outworld leader due to the fact that the main storyline wasn't based on him, by necessity other characters in the story at least appear to be stronger. It does kinda suck but from a storytelling perspective each successive threat in a long running series has to be stronger than the last and I'm certain with Netherrealms penchant for great narratives they don't want to constantly retread on the Earthrealm Vs Outworld thing.
southsideroy Yeah, it's that feeling that outworld leaders were conquerors and stuff. And it's pretty unfair to compare him to Shao, THE one outworld boss
***** I'd like to see what happens in the next game which looks like its going to be a Deception/Armeggedon reboot. Hopefully the Orderreal & Chaosrealm characters will be revamped strongly or new ones introduced altogether. Havik was pretty cool, but Darrius, Hotaru and Dairou were fuckin terrible. Two realms in direct opposition of one another, theres A LOT of potential there story wise.
***** Shirai most definitely, but since Subs & Scorpion are now cool with each other it axes out the potential of a huge war between the two. Havik fleshed out could go from good to great, like a Mortal Kombat version of the Joker. Going from realm to realm just fuckin everything up & not giving a damn.
cybercobra2 Oh, thank you. ^v^ That's good enough for me since I can't even play the game since I don't have either system for it. Besides, I couldn't main them even if I wanted to... which I kind of did at first but eh. XD If I'm ever able to get the game, I'll just stick with muh girl, Jacqui. XD
did anyone get an "i'm gay" feel when kung jin was telling raiden the shaolin monks wouldn't accept him? i honestly didn't, but supposedly it's true....
Would everyone stop say Kung Jin is still cool? Like there's something wrong with his sexuality! So what he's gay. It's 2015 do people actually still look down on being gay? His character is badass. People automatically judged him as being the typically cocky douchey cool guy. When in reality there's a lot more to him. Also being gay is + I love how NetherRealm handled it. A lot of company's would market it, to get more attention and all. They were very silent about this which I respect. They weren't making a big deal about it!
Damn, Johnny Yung Bosch just finds ways to work himself into fighting games. First Mahvel 3, then SSF4, now MK X. If he voices a new character in KI Season 3, I'm done. lol
This is how you write a gay character,it's just a part of Jin it's NOT his personality, and that's how gay people are,we are not ONLY gay,we are people,so yeah take this for a good example at writing a gay character
Rob's Gaming Channel Jin's personality isn't that bad to me. Cassie...Cassie on the other and is outrageously annoying....but i like her father. I feel like if they had a son it would be soooo much better...also Jin could potentially have a boyfriend....cause that would be cool also. Just a whole 2nd gen team of ass kickers and couples....yeah i'm liking that.
Roomatesfan I thought I wouldn't like Cassie at first because she'd just be a clone of her dad, but now I think she's awesome. Actually my favorite character out of the new ones.
AbelFrost Takeda, Jin, Jaquie, Cassie in that order. No exceptions or substitutions. Cassie just doesn't do it for me. Takeda, Jin, and Jaquie on the other hand all are great. a fan of all their fighting styles even though i don't even use jaquie
RamoHaze I know that, I mean was Shao reincarnated by the Elder Gods into a Blood/Sun God, given they were the ones who "killed" him and they never normally outright kill their enemies EG Shinnok.
CamTheKitty Not really. Big deal for gay gamers. Makes them easier to relate to, which in turn is better for sales. Otherwise there'd be no point in having any character anything but a white brown haired male.
too many random clones, it would work if its uniforms, it may also work on bland random npc wearing ragged clothes, but that old bearded dude with green clothing is too noticible, its creeping me out.
So is Kung-Jin Gay? Like i remember in an interview with Ed Boon he did mention one character to be gay and in the cut scene in his past when he was talking to Raiden it sounds like the Monks wouldn't accept him because he was gay.
Really should have wrote Kung Jin abit better. Making him an unlikable prick, just to then try to redeem him with his knowledge of Outworld and getting Kotal Kahn on their side, still makes him out to be abit of a unlikable prick lol
Kung Jin being gay looks integral to the character in story. That's cool. It's not just some pandering like some Overwatch characters in a takeaway twitter post.
Kotal Kahn is a total anti-villain. He's like the Ned Stark of the Outworld crew. Except a head taller.
***** He's my favorite character.
ultimaT It's hard for me not to like him. He's honorable, has a neat voice, and a cool design.
***** He's like Wham from Jojo part 2.
***** his voice actor is Phil Lamaar who was in a show called Mad Tv. He voices a lot of cartoons and video games
***** Kotal Kahn is a lovable lug. I want to give him a hug.
Erron Black looks like a good base for Jonnah Hex for another Injustice game
Eric Kelly Heck, if you take his mask off and crispy-fry his face, he'd be ready for sale.
Ummmmmmm
YES!
So Erron Black is the Boba Fett of MK. Gotcha
Oh my god! You just made me realise something! Why don't NetherRealm make a Star Wars fighting game! Like injustice. Yeah there's battlefront but this would be different. It would be hard to get the permission thing though
aquapyro1 He's more like the guy from the Dollar Trilogy ***** Netherrealm is owned by Warner Bros and Star Wars is owned by Disney
+GhostFace1301 I want a Star Wars skin pack with Jedi Kenshi, Emperor Ermac, and Boba Fett Erron Black. Anyone agree?
YES.
cool cowboy guy
Boba Fett mixed with Arkham Knight
I was watching another person live stream this and they were okay-ish with Kung Jin until they found out he was gay. Then everyone only commented on him being gay and being a "trash character". Freaking unbelievable...
Guinness Some people are just a bit brain dead. Not too surprising really.
A bit brain dead? More like brainless.
Has it been confirmed officially by NRS
Lamard Branch Implications and subtlety make things much more interesting and help avoid cliché character writing. That's something I like about MKX. All the characters feel way more fleshed out than in any other game in the series.
Guinness I think its awesome that he's gay, and they don't try and make it define him as a character. Its just a fact, and that's that.
I like Jin. Maybe it's his attitude or because he is voiced by Johnny young bosch. :p
I feel ya to me its both haha.
Minato Togami but he is gay :(
Minato Togami I can't stay mad at freaking Vash the Stampede. Also for some reason I like Archers. I really don't know why.
How about both?

Pierce Wait about 3 more chapters. Not trying to spoil, but I feel NRS ruined an otherwise good character.
edwiniseman4 He's putting the safety of his realm before Earthrealm. He's loyal to a fault.

Theo Truter You and I think alike.
Kotal Kahn is more Lawful Neutral. He still acts in his own interests but has a strict code and honors traditions.
5:48- Master Blaster runs Bartertown.
Also, Kung Jin is rocking the Garrett look in that flashback. I wonder if he's ever called anybody a "taffer"?
Kotal is More Lawful Neutral than an outright good guy imo

Also Raiden coulnd't have saved Kung Lao because he was not allowed to participate in Mortal Kombat unless he was directly challenged
Why is everybody making a big deal about Kung Jin being Gay?
Venom from Guilty Gear is gay too and nobody's complaining about that.
Jin is still cool af.
I'm enjoying this series. Keep 'em coming!
Goddamn, I don't know who voices Quan-Chi and Raiden, but those two have fucking amazing voices. I could listen to them all day.
I love Jin's character progression, but he is INSUFFERABLE
No he isn’t
I like D'vorahs sassiness. I know it's more of a bug-like twitch, but it looks sassy. What a sassy ladybug.
I'm really liking Kung Jin here! He seems much better than Liu Kang or Kung Lao now! And he sounds like Yu Narukami from Persona 4 (Also voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch) and I really like that!

Lol
Guy Guino he implies no such thing. leave it to a fanfiction writer to make stupid shit up
Why does he think they wouldn't accept him then?
Guy Guino homophobia? We don't know much about the Shaolin xD
Yeah I know, I'm just speculating,
Kung jin is pretty dam nasty. Ancestral variation gives him so many options and bojitsu is stupid on damage and range. Def a strong character.
"Break the face" lmao Ferra is funny, but Torr scares the shit out of me like please don't rip off my arms QQ

Tony Davis okay, but what about Kenshi.... he's just there, in the story, like, he doesn't do anything "important", but he's always there, in the main scenes, i was a little annoyed by that.... he's my main since DA...... -_-
P.S. i thought that were going to explain how and who in fucks name broke Kenshi's sword, but, nope.....
Since when did Kung Lao or Liu Kang have hyphens in their names? NEVER.
Fucking love kung jin not really sold on ferra/torr yet.
Ferra/Torr is my least favorite MKX character gameplay wise
rocx conner Ferra/Torr suck combat wise (all your moves rely on Ferra being in place.), but I know Boon added such a complex character for a reason. Character wise, they're great! Savage, but at the same time somewhat adorable, and their story mode does make you like them even more.
Personally I love the characters. I was never really in to the big guy characters kind but I like their combat fighting style
I can't belive that's Kelly Hu voicing D'Vora
ferra\tore reminds me of a gargantuar from plants vs zombies with the imp rideing his back right guys
3:15 -
So it's Yu Narukami vs Kanji Tatsumi XD
Now the alliance has been forged! Kung-Jin has earned Kotal Khan's respect and his assistance in finding Mileena and the amulet! But what horrors await in Outworld!
Find out next time on MORTAL KOMBAT X!!!!! (DBZ annoucer voice)
Jin just caused an inter-dimensional incident
Ferra looks so much better in her concept art. She looked more mature in her art, but in-game she looks and sounds like a baby.
Did anyone else notice Raiden killing that poor Shaolin monk at 13:12?
12:20 that megaman up smash tho
I like how all of them of liking that Kotal Khan is a good guy, but just wait 1 or 2 chapters down the line...Ed Boon pulls another twist lol
Does Erron remind any one else of Roland Deschain the Gunslinger from the Dark tower. His motives are completely different but he is gunslinger from another dimension.
Raiden's like the cool uncle we all wish we had lol.
Been watching this and the Best Friends playthrough kind of outta one eye and I just noticed the thing Kung Jin is throwing isn't actually Kung Lao's hat... that's a missed opportunity.
Kung Jin blows dogs for quarters, man.
Chang and Choi done right! maybe.
Out of the characters thus far shown in the story mode, I've found Kung-Jin to be the least likable personality wise...
Silas E. Quester He's still the best character. Why? He's voiced by Johnny Young Bosuh.
Man. Matt Mercer didn't do a damn thing different with McCree and Erron lol
Just as I refreshed your page this appeared! Nice!
木戸 Kido PERFECT!!
木戸 Kido PERFECT!!
PERFECT
Could someone possibly link me to the version of the Mortal Kombat theme being played at the beginning of these videos?
Or just tell em the name of the rendition?
I'd be appreciative.
Kung Jin should have a sassy variation
Erron black reminds me of the person you play as in red dead redemption
gee I wonder why
Some Sexual Tension between Erron and Jin
So Kung-Jin was Garrett before he joined the Special Forces?
Kung gin... Okay, I need some help here, sorry if this makes me sound stupid but... Is the guys voicing him also Yu and Adachi from Persona?
I really appreciate how Jin is written. The Writers don't openly say he's gay; they are very subtle about it and makes the audience put two and two together. And not only is it NOT super in your face, but him being Gay doesn't make him a good character, his actions and decisions and the growth of his character makes him a Good. Thumbs up to Boon and Netherrealm for this.
Ferra/Torr kicksAss.Kensi Is DownRight Awsome,Love KITANA. KotalKahn SunGod Of koolness
I LOVE THE STORY
She doesn't have robo arms. They're gauntlets.
Someone knows what version of the MK theme is it at the beginning ?
Havik was dope, I hope some more Shirai Ryu guys and please no Taven or Daegon, unless they get finely reeboted
Am I the only person who isn't a fan of Mortal Kombat X? I honestly think Mortal Kombat nine was superior.
I noticed that Ferra will stab Torr and do a little damage to him. What does it do?
Skittycreamstar its some sort of buff, but im not sure what it does.
cybercobra2 Oh, thank you.
Well the one writer confirmed it so yeah.
They weren't making a big deal about it!
supposedly kung jin is gay, thats what raiden was talking about 'whom your heart desires'
Ferra Torr!! So hyped!
What is a block string?
What a twist
can't wait for them to see baraka's death and mileena's execution. #SPOILER
Damn, Johnny Yung Bosch just finds ways to work himself into fighting games. First Mahvel 3, then SSF4, now MK X.
If he voices a new character in KI Season 3, I'm done. lol
The SureFire Gamer And don't forget Persona 4 Arena!
This is how you write a gay character,it's just a part of Jin it's NOT his personality, and that's how gay people are,we are not ONLY gay,we are people,so yeah take this for a good example at writing a gay character
OhMeshh a developer confirmed Kung Jin is gay
fun fact. Ferra is voiced by the creator of my little pony
Zach Young lol that make the pony line from cassie a little funnier
Not a fan of Jin's personality, but he's still one of my mains
Rob's Gaming Channel Jin's personality isn't that bad to me. Cassie...Cassie on the other and is outrageously annoying....but i like her father. I feel like if they had a son it would be soooo much better...also Jin could potentially have a boyfriend....cause that would be cool also. Just a whole 2nd gen team of ass kickers and couples....yeah i'm liking that.
Roomatesfan I love Cassie's personality xD
Roomatesfan I thought I wouldn't like Cassie at first because she'd just be a clone of her dad, but now I think she's awesome. Actually my favorite character out of the new ones.
AbelFrost Takeda, Jin, Jaquie, Cassie in that order. No exceptions or substitutions. Cassie just doesn't do it for me. Takeda, Jin, and Jaquie on the other hand all are great. a fan of all their fighting styles even though i don't even use jaquie
Roomatesfan to me it is Cassi, Takeda, Jaquie, Jin, I've tried to main the 4 of them plus D'Vorah, I'm loving most of the new characters xD
So is Kotal supposed to be Shao Khan reincarnated?
No. Kotal took over as the new Emperor after Shao Kahn was killed. Kahn is the Emperor title.
RamoHaze
I know that, I mean was Shao reincarnated by the Elder Gods into a Blood/Sun God, given they were the ones who "killed" him and they never normally outright kill their enemies EG Shinnok.
That'll be a No, because Kotal was alive during Shaos reign.
pious83 Shao Kahn's soul is one of many souls inside of Ermac.
OhMeshh A NetherRealm dev confirmed Kung Jin being gay.
kung jin has a rare personality, he's a little bit show-off but he has a good heart
Arron Black= Striker 👍👍
14:23 It's official! Kung Jin is gay
munem939 yeah and if you want something more solid his intro with Liu Kang its pretty hilarius.
I don't get it.. how the fuck does that confirm it.
Victor Basaldúa that line implied it, but it was confirmed by one of the cinematic directors on twitter
CamTheKitty A lot of people.
Nice
i like how they subtly imply that jin is gay. getting some lgbt in here
Really should have wrote Kung Jin abit better. Making him an unlikable prick, just to then try to redeem him with his knowledge of Outworld and getting Kotal Kahn on their side, still makes him out to be abit of a unlikable prick lol
Kung Jin being gay looks integral to the character in story. That's cool. It's not just some pandering like some Overwatch characters in a takeaway twitter post.
agreed
Do you know Kung Jin is gay. True
Since in this game is in a tournament why doesn't the characters just beat the shit out of them when they fall down
Kung Jin is gay 14:24
man too bad you can't pick the character variations on history mode. Also everytime I like at Kotal Kahn he reminds me of Ogre from Tekken.
Both are based on Aztec warriors.
Ty Lewis yeah they are pretty cool designs for a fighting game.
