I tell people all the time the Dominican Republic gets in your soul. We moved here to Punta Cana 7 years ago. And now we help others find there dream home. If you get a chance in January go to Samana to see the whales it is amazing .

We have other beers: Cerveza Bohemia and Cerveza Quisqueya, try to drink it. Recommendations visit the Museum Centro Leon in the city of Santiago. Take a trip to the south, Bahia de Las Aguilas and Barahona are destinations that deserve to be visited.
The North coast is sometimes called "Costa de Ambar" or "Amber Coast" because of the special amber that is only found in the country. There is even a popular amber museum in Puerto Plata.

This will be our third winter in the North Coast and our first year in Cabarete, our favourite town and finally found a place that we can afford and is suitable for a digital nomad like myself. Mr Dee I’m from Miami I traveled there all the time DR by far is the best place to live - you payed no property taxes for the first 15 years DR specially puerto plata have so so much to offered- if you do go please go to this place I went to -) Santa Fe beach club (day pass ) , fricolandia puerto plata , the 27 waterfalls of damajuana -( los 27 charcos de damajuana, monkey land , rio sonador puerto plata - puerto plata have over 1000 stunning rivers and waterfalls you must do research they are hidden …

You love two of my favourite places… DR (we spend two months in Las Terrenas each winter) and Crete (especially Chania!). Crime in the DR is the only thing that keeps us from spending the whole winter there… wish it was safer
You would like Santiago for sure. I would love to tell you to go but right now all this constructions for the train and big infrastructure projects. But Santiago anyway will show a different city with a lot of history and one that marks a lot regarding culture.
@@DelightfulTravellers Santiago's got lots to offer, culture and art in the Centro Leon, real DR life in it's surrounding villages. The trains and teleferico are part of the city development not related to the future plans for regional trains, however will certainly be connected.

Hello!! I´m very glad that you are back in my country and that it feels like home to you. Hope you have an amazing time like always. I´ve a couple of sugestions: 1. Laguna Grigri in Rio San Juan (northeast coast, probably a couple of hours drive from Cabarete) 2. Laguna Dudu and Playa El Diamante en Cabrera, both very closed to each other in Cabrera (northeast coast a little to the south of Rio San Juan) 3. Las Dunas in Bani, Peravia. That is in the south of the country 4. I know that you are not looking for the cold, but Constanza is a most, while there you most check out Salto de Aguas Blancas and Valle Nuevo. The Love Pop popsicles are a must when you are in Cabarete....they are soooooo delicious! The alley where the Love Pop stand is located is called Paseo Don Chiche. I have tried several popsicles already and must say that they are all just incredibly tasty and surely made with LOVE! 😊

OMG 😳 omg it’s a local hidden beach 🏝️ amazingly beautiful, from there you can take a speed boat to cayó arena island 🏝️ stunning 🤩- you need to go there asap - they have a beautiful hotel 🏨 punta Rusia ecolodge , 7 minutes to the center of town main beach - you must drive around expore the area - another place is call -) playa buen hombre the drive is beautiful around the mountains looks like Arizona super dry - all desert - this place is known for fresh seafood 🦞 and speed boat tours -

By far, you are my favorite yutuber, maybe because you like Cabarete so much. I was raised there until the age of 8. I'll be there around January 15th. Hope to see you guys so I can say hello.
I figured you would be back but not for that long. I have not been back yet. Puerto Viejo is my new place, though I only got to stay a month this time :( I was going to go back for December but it's rainy season so my December will be in Thailand. The one lesson I learned this year is I don't get any work done so my digital nomad year is probably not going to get repeated.
You might check out Barahona....in the south. Haven't been there in a long time. I have heard, though, it has changed a lot. Playa de los Patos was really nice. Also in the center, el Cibao, there is a completely different vibe. Much more laid back and not so much of the hustle mentality. I have been to Cabarete (I lived in the D.R. for more than 6 years altogether) but lately I feel that it has become too touristy. I prefer to be "en el campo" where people tend to just live and let live and are not trying to profit off of the tourists. Glad you are back and I agree....no other place like the D.R. I don't need much. I am happy with my racimo de plátanos y la bandera Dominicana....next time ask for cerveza vestida de novia (if you like your beer really cold).
If you like Dominican Republic. You haven't been to the west side of Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rico, you have the same feel as DR. But the benefits of USA. No third-world motor bikers. My wife is Dominican, and she loves PR. Visit Cabo Rojo , Rincon (suffer town), and Aquadilla.
We're hoping to get over to PR early next year. We've been there before but Rincon (specifically) is high on our list 🤙We're super curious to see what the west coast is like there. We just hope it's not 'too America' if that makes sense? - Trevor

I figured you would be back but not for that long. I have not been back yet. Puerto Viejo is my new place, though I only got to stay a month this time :( I was going to go back for December but it's rainy season so my December will be in Thailand. The one lesson I learned this year is I don't get any work done so my digital nomad year is probably not going to get repeated.

You might check out Barahona....in the south. Haven't been there in a long time. I have heard, though, it has changed a lot. Playa de los Patos was really nice. Also in the center, el Cibao, there is a completely different vibe. Much more laid back and not so much of the hustle mentality. I have been to Cabarete (I lived in the D.R. for more than 6 years altogether) but lately I feel that it has become too touristy. I prefer to be "en el campo" where people tend to just live and let live and are not trying to profit off of the tourists. Glad you are back and I agree....no other place like the D.R. I don't need much. I am happy with my racimo de plátanos y la bandera Dominicana....next time ask for cerveza vestida de novia (if you like your beer really cold).

If you like Dominican Republic. You haven't been to the west side of Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rico, you have the same feel as DR. But the benefits of USA. No third-world motor bikers. My wife is Dominican, and she loves PR. Visit Cabo Rojo , Rincon (suffer town), and Aquadilla.
We're hoping to get over to PR early next year. We've been there before but Rincon (specifically) is high on our list 🤙We're super curious to see what the west coast is like there. We just hope it's not 'too America' if that makes sense? - Trevor
