Oh, what a waste... Emmit, sorry but this is a very bad concept for this amazing song.
The way I interpreted the video was: The woman is dancing exactly how she’s feeling in that very moment after she ran away from her home, it felt like she was expressing her freedom. In my opinion, I feel like it’s sending the message; dance or feel whatever you want to feel when listening to this song or any song for that matter. This is just my opinion ofc, but I know this music video might not suit everyone. Regardless this is a masterpiece of a song.

@@arnoldrothstein3417 you mind giving me an example of a music video that you know of that has that dark ambiance/flashing lights tone ? Off the top of my head I think of Desire - Bob Moses & Zhu. If Overflow had a deep video like that I think it would be superb
@@castanl1 Yes, Desire has a very good atmosphere tbh and It would fit this song too. Well, It is quite hard to give an example actually but Oscar and The Wolf - Princes is close one I think. But think about it with flashing lights (white), especially in the end sequence of Overflow. It would be amazing. I mean I just want to drown in this song but this video clip doesn't allow it lol. It's a real chaos what I hear when listening to Overflow but basically this video doesn't refer to it

I artistically accept this video for what it delivers but personally I’m with you. I too wanted to “drown” in this song bc it does have a deep tone to it for me. I love it the song regardless but in that aspect you are correct, the music video could’ve have a much darker/meaningful/ambient tone. Great conversation my friend
