      you need *substance* in Romania and this is 1kE a month in wages and office rent.

      Between Bulgaria and Romania, you are better off opening a company in Bulgaria, if the majority of the company income is also profit.

      @@ForgottenKnight1 If the majority of the company's revenue is profit, you are 100% better offer paying 1-3% tax on the revenue in Romania, then 10% profit tax in Bulgaria.
      Any expenses outside Bulgaria are not deductible to lower your profit.
      So the 10% tax in BG is mostly on the revenue as well. The comparison is simple:
      10% (Bulgaria) vs. 1-3% tax (Romania) on the revenue.

    This cannot be done anymore as our fiscal regulations in Romania have changed recently.

      Yes there are slight changes in Romania, but so small that almost not mentionable. The 1-3% tax model for companies is up to date more then ever.

      generally is more profitable to pay yourself through dividends or income on 3 companies earning 500k total of 1.5 million@@goeu

      @@goeu In 2024 a lot of things changed. First, it's not 3% tax model, its 3% (income) + 10% on any dividends. You also are obliged to have at least one employee (to translate - more taxes for 0 benefit), so in the end you arrive around 17-20%.

      @@ForgottenKnight1 We tax our Romanian company day by day, as well as hundreds of our clients. The taxation is 3% tax on the revenue up to 500k/year. Dividend tax is 8% on profit payout.
      In total it is around 10% taxes.
      An employee is mandatory. You can hire yourself or find more affordable, but educated employees, then in other EU countries.
      10% tax in total and access to skilled employees who you can afford.

    Interesting that you didn't mention 0% corporate taxation in Bulgaria if company is opening jobs in area where unemployment is high.

    • @goeu
      @goeu  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This 0% Corporate tax is almost impossible to get. If you go deep down on the country side, where no one wants be and hire employees in agriculture there is a slight chance the Bulgarian government agrees. If so attractive: Every Bulgarian company owner would be go for it. In reality in 99% of cases it doesn't get approved or makes sense in terms of the most unattractive areas.
