I typically apply some scotch tape in the center of the lens to prevent scratches when putting it back. Once the clip is put back then the tape can be removed hopefully preserving the lens
@@AleksUsovich @AleksUsovich i don't know how to say. To remove the lenses, you must remove the locking rings (3:40). But it's really tricky to put them back on afterwards without risking scratching the lenses.
Use a piece of scotch tape in the center of the lens when putting the c clip back in. That will prevent scratches in the middle of the lens and use tough plastic trim tools like for plastic trim pieces on cars for putting the clip in which will not scratch the glass.
Please how do you remove the black plastic toothed lens cover? (It' missing between 1:09 - 1:14)
You spin it off counter clockwise and it comes off.
I also would be keen to see how the circlip/retaining ring is reinstalled without damaging the lens. I have not had good luck with these.

Which ring? Focus ring on the viewfinder or photo taking lens?
