With BDSP bringing back some of the dexited pokemon, I really wanted to use Clamperl as its one of my favorite Pokemon and extremely underrated with its signature item deep sea tooth. I constructed this team to support and enable Clamperl, I hope y'all enjoy the video!

As for my NFE: I guess Tyrogue, because I love fighting type Pokémon and Tyrogue would definitely be the first choice of Pokémon for me if they would be real.

Tyrogue is my fav fighting pokemon along with Machop and Riolu

I really love Shelgon. It's just a cute angry ball with lil nubs for feet. Angry ball is angry. I also just love the lore of the evolution line of Salamence in general, about how bagon wanted to fly so it would jump off cliffs over and over, and Shelgon is the inbetween where it becomes tougher from the jumping and is now storing its energy to evolve.
I honestly like Shelgon out of them all myself.
Haunter for sure, the floating hands look so cool Ive always prefererred it over Gengar

Same tbh also because back in the day idk how to get any of the trade evolution pokemon. So me with a lvl 50 Haunter which I eventually transferred to Stadium(the first one). I wanna say that was my first or one of them anyways to get to lvl 50 without the rare candy cheat. I remember that I actually gave it a good moveset too in Thunderbolt, Giga Drain, Psychic and Night Shade.
Yea idk about liking it more than gengar but it is atleast tied for me n gastly shiny is one of my favorites
The way Weedle said "You deserve to see the best battles" gave me the good goosebumps.
I love Rattled, was awesome to see it paired with Pin Missile 😁 I guess Weavile could be a good partner for Clamperl with Fake Out to give it set up opportunities and Beat Up for Rattled boosts, but it might do too much damage with Beat Up 😆
Sp. Atk. Persian instead so Clampearl isn't knocked out by the set up D:
I tried it with beat up weavile and it did nearly 40% *before* shell smash
Jolteon is just the perfect fit, it alredy has average attack and the Flame orb not only activate Quick Feet to get to Flash levels of speed, it also makes Pin Missile even weaker which is a good thing in this case.
@@MrDekgear Jolteon has a terrible attack stat, it's 65. The average attack stat for fully evolved Pokemon is 90.
@@Mr.Sax. so it should do even less damage! With a atk down one to make sure you're minimizing the damage to clampearl.

QOTD: My favorite NFE has to be Shellder, it looks really goofy and it's shiny is admittedly better than Cloyster's shiny. I just love it

Weedle I always love how your teams really give a chance for underutilized pokemon like Clamperl a time to shine. Your teams take people by surprise, but more importantly are really fun to use. I’ve been playing around with a variation on your SurfShark team from earlier this year in BDSP and I’ve had so much fun turning cradily and gastrodon into surprise powerhouses after setting them up with a surf from my tyranitar. Thank you for sharing all these fun ideas
I like Yamask. Mainly for lore reasons, but I once did a trick room, focus sash, and destiny bond strat to take out a Palkia as well.
Oh, I LOVE Yanmask! Really does have a great bit of utility.
I love seeing popular attackers being used as support. It's like having a built-in redirect.
My favorite non-fully evolved Mon is absolutely Combusken. It just looks cool.

QOTD: Personally, it’s a tie between Petilil and Togetic. They’re both so cute, and Petilil puts in work in B/W, and Togetic is so tanky! Also, this video has me crying with the Kaceytron edits 😭

Scyther. one of my absolute favorite mons since gen 1 and learning that it continued to be a good Pokemon after receiving a sick ass evolution solidified

Scizor is the biggest surprise in pokemon history. How did they manage to make an awesome design even more awesome? Someone must've had their big thinking cap on.
@@gromplin Kleavor would one-shot Scyther with 4x effective Rock STAB, but Scizor would rip Kleavor's head off.

But like I said, the main thing for me is the utility. Both are already bulky and can act as effective sweepers and/or stoppers. Especially with Scyther’s speed, there’s basically nowhere for Kleavor to go that the other two haven’t. And if they make it a massive attack mon, it may get bopped by a Steel Wing from Scyther…
I’m excited for Kleavor, but I really just don’t know what to make of the idea. Would have been cool if they made a special attacker though.
My favorite’s gotta be Deino, seeing it for the first time made me fall in love with it regardless of what it evolved into and is the reason why hydreigon is in my like top 10 to this day!
My favorite not fully evolved Pokémon is definitely Wooloo because that defense stat with cotton guard, fluffy, and literally every status afflicting move is the best troll set.

Houndour is probably my favorite. One of the few times where I prefer the NFE over the evolved form.

Favorite NFE is Mienfoo. I love its design and how good it is in LC. I also had fun using it during the gen 5 games.

Also I feel like lickylicky is kinda slept on low key cuz it gets oblivious which make it the only belly drum user immune to intimidate.

Murkrow. Loved it in gen 7 with prankster mirror move. Love it even more because of how much crows and corvids are cool birds. Also magneton cause steels a dope typeling and magnet pull on it is soooo fetch
Magneton is actually a great choice, but it's weird because it was clearly always meant to be fully evolved. Magnezone is stronger but has lower speed and a radically different design.
There is no one on this planet who is both as creative with team building and has such an amazing grasp on double battling as you. Your content always makes me happy!

OMFG! I've been rocking the BDSP SD ladder with a Clamperl team recently too (which also features Aurora Veil Abomasnow lol). It is more of a Trick Room approach, but I'm also running Shell Smash to use it in the last TR turn to outspeed things abusing my opponents' double Protects - and believe me, it happens a lot. Unfortunately, it doesn't outspeed too many things, but it is really funny to do 😂. I was using this team as a rebuild of another awesome one I made in 2018, which also had M-Camerupt on it (I miss you, buddy 😭).
I'm SOOOO HAPPY seeing Clamperl getting some love, I think it’s an incredible and pretty underrated Pokémon!
Fun fact: Deep Sea Tooth Clamperl actually hits HARDER than Primal Kyogre.
QOTD: I love charjabug mostly cause the concept is hilarious but also he's so cuboid shaped and cute. I loved the strat you did before where you used him in a double battle for the sp. Atk boost

My favorite unevolved Pokemon is Swadloon. I love the way it wraps leaves around it like a little cloak, it’s antenna sticking up through the leaf, its aloof expression, and when I was younger, I took one online and it beat a Giratina by itself. Miss my Swadloon now that they cut it…
I love Joltik and Surskit they're the cutest and Surskit can be used to set up sticky webs in rain loved using it back in gen 6^-^

I always really liked Bayleef. The yellow and green, the folded leaves around its neck, the big leaf on its head, it just looks really nice. Meganium is a rare example of a "weird final evo" starter instead of a "weird middle evo" (ex. Croconaw's inexplicable caveman theme that isn't present in Totodile or Feraligatr).

Clampearl broke my heart when I realized that I couldn't evolve it into Huntail with the deepseatooth or by level. But 10/10 would let Clampearl live in a Koi pond on my property
