I would use that 9 incher in the ocean if it was a fast sink but since it is a slow sink how about a gator..... or one of them crazy snapper turtles... swamp dog right there...
If you added some weighted treble hooks, I think you could get it to sink a bit quicker. The other thing I've seen is where you glue strips of tungsten weights to the bottom of the lure. The Hook Up Tackle has a neat tungsten weight that you can break off pieces to get the weight you need. I fish all inland lakes, so the slow-sinking version is perfect for me.
