Just started playing the game. I really find your videos helpful in learning the rules. I have 2nd edition and that rule book is a tough one to grasp 😅
Much smoother ride this time, congrats! :) One thing I didn't understand: why didn't you activate the chapter right at the end of the first round with the gunman? He had 3 stamina and 3 essence to do it (and the other explorer was beside him so he could contribute too).
Great question. I forgot at that point I could work together to use the chapter space. In the next video I will be working together I will remember by then. 😂. Thank you for all the help it really made this video go much smother and the flow of the game is totally alive. Thanks as always peter for watching 😃😃👍
you are very welcome. I really enjoy this game. It is one of my favorite in the Cthulhu world. It adds such tension and leaves you on the edge of your seat. Thanks for watching😀😀👍
Its like walking through a cave in an RPG: every time you take a step a new monster appears! At least there is more variety than just zoobat :). So when you run out of monster cards and need to spawn a new one, do you just shuffle the discard and keep drawing, or does something else happen as well?
Great analogy. It first it felt like I was going nowhere but I was building up essence which is key! Yes you do just shuffle the discard deck and start again. As the monster threat increases you will add tougher monsters to the deck. Hope we doing have to shuffle the deck again for a while. After this chapter. Thanks for the great comment and thanks as always Nathan for watching 😃😃👍
Hey Bairnt, I played this this weekend after being sold by your playthrough, but I have a quick question: In the rules it states that you AND monsters get hit if the attack roll is equal to or greater than. If so, then you receive one wound. It seems that you're playing it so that if explorers get hit, they take the difference in damage? is that correct?
Watching this because it’s back on Kickstarter.. I can’t believe all the 10’s you rolled in part 1 and part 2 of these videos. Great job. Do you recommended this game for solo play ? Do you normally play this with two heroes or have you tried it with just 1 hero in solo mode ?
Johnny McNabb I do like this as a solo game it’s good with others as well. I haven’t play with only one hero but I should try sometime. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Every time I hear you laugh and say "this is awesome" a picture from Fifth Element the movie comes into my mind when Mr. Zorg laughs that the stones are not there :D But it's true to the theme, first monster spawns and you're crazily desperate realizing "oh we're going to die boys and girls". That's how I picture Cthulhu horrors come in. No heroes to fight them, just a lot of adventurers dying. Still rooting for at least one surviving explorer (I'm pretty sure most of them will die by the end of this)! Also just a tip, buy new dice, these are obviously rigged and since you use 0 as 10, it's contraproductive :D
Thank you so much for the complement. This has to be one of the greatest things anyone has said to me😃. 1. Fifth element is one of my favorite movies of all time. 2. Gary Oldman is one of my favorite actors. And 3. That scene the movie is one of my favorite scenes. It’s So good!!! Your right this game is very Cthulhu. It’s top tier for this genre. It’s really a tense game. Every die roll could be your last. And your right with the “rigged” dice I have those 9s and 10s just won’t stop. 😂. Thanks for such an awesome comment and thanks as always SnowDragonka for watching 😃😃👍
@@OneStopCoopShop The scene is perfect and it always brings smile to my face :) I really love the cheery playthrough in such a tense game, it's great to watch. Can't wait for another part! :)
