love catching Mackerel on single jiggs , loads of fun and man do they fight :D IF ONLY they grew to 10lb eh Billy 😄 Another great video , thanks a million :)
Catching bait on rod and line is the best! I like to catch ciscos in Canada for Lake Trout bait. It's more fun than buying the bait or trapping. Wooo Billy, good stuff!
Hey Joe! What you doing with that rod in your hand! I hope you're a Hendrix fan😅 yes brother much better than buying it, collecting bait is a part of the circle! One more thing brother. Brace yourself, winters coming! Thanks bud😁👌
Hi Bill! Fabulous Mackerel, too good for bait, my favourite fish to eat! Been away with no Hinterweb for nearly 5 weeks so way behind with TH-cam and having to "Cherry pick" ones to watch. I've also had a health problem crop up again, so numerous visits to the Medics. Hope all is good with you. Tight lines, stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍
How much fun is that Billy? Those mackerel are whoppers. Looking forward to the bait video. That seagull was trying it on, getting you to catch it’s breakfast for it. 🐟🇳🇴
Those late summer Norwegian mackerel are insane! Absolutely huge and bursting with oil, the only thing though is even though mackerel is definitely one of my favourite eating fish those big buggers are a bit to oily and need a few minutes once cooked on some kitchen paper before I can eat them! I bet the halibut don't mind the oilyness though? 😉🇧🇻🎣👍
Awesome video as always! Thank you for sharing! I am sure that all your viewer would appreciate it if you'd mention the line you are using in the description. Thank you!
Thanks Brother, glad you like it . The fishing line I use is called joff, and I get it from AliExpress. All they need to do is ask, I don't advertise for free 😅👌
@@Billyfishing_watch LOL:) I was wondering that I am going to get a sophisticated feed back on some special Japan made Varivas special turbo master mind plus PE#5. Haven't been expecting that one! Thanks! ✊😬

I bet that twanging sounds that you can hear when you're working the lure transfers down the braid to the lure and draws attention. I'll be giving it a go! 👍
I believe so! The fact I know they do, a lot of times there's many small fish swimming around the fishing line trying to eat it. Thanks Brother, much appreciated 😁👌
@@Billyfishing_watch about your fast jigging technique, maybe in another video you could show a more zoomed out look (from the tripod) at what your arms and hands are doing to make it clearer. I've tried to jig like this but it's exhausting so I must be doing it wrong. Love the videos! These vidoes are a treasure troves, my results in the fjords have improved a lot
I'm going to remove the last comment you made on the bait rod video! Please don't mention the areas that I fish, it is to protect the country that you live in, thanks Brother 😁👌
My country, Norway, is about to be destroyed by tourism and fishing tourism in particular. There is one group in particular that ruins it for everyone, they visited us more than 80 years ago. Who could it be? This Irish guy is people we want to visit, act like him and you're welcome! Cheers my Irish brother, keep fishing!
Absolutely right. I love Norway as well, and every single time when I come back, I observe the same thing - guys with fishing rods catch and take everything. This is wrong and must be stopped by Norwegian authorities. I think.
I had noticed the lack of marauding gulls in your video's Billy. They are all over the sheer glimpse of a mackerel in the UK. Looking forward to more halibut vids.❤
That's a great way of catching mackerel love eating them fresh from the day into the pan garlic olive oil do you catch herring the same way a fish of memories for me going after them with the old fella with big nets
I've often thought the same thing myself 🤣 is some parts of the world they have something called a false albacore. They are not tuna they are a member of the mackerel family. They're not commonly double figures, but regularly 5 to 6 lbs. I have caught three or four pound fish! There are a lot of fun. Thanks Brother 😁 👌

Since I've been watching more Japanese videos and then seeing you catch the smaller species with your movement I've adopted that to my LRF metals and the catch rate is at least 3x better. Also my snagging and lure loss rate is considerably lower. If people don't want to try it that's fine, leave the fish for me
Yes! It's a fantastic way to fish, and if there's a fish in the area you'll get his attention for sure. Much better than the conventional way of working lures on this side of the world. Thanks Brother 😁👌
