A ledge is created on lingual surface of full cast crown to accomodate the lingual clasp arm.. The greatest advantage is that it provide for:
a.. appropriate contact
b.. appropriate undercut
c.. survey line
d.. guiding plane
It provides the guiding plane

It is a type of ledge or shaped block out to form a guiding plane on lingual surface of wax pattern for cast crown and thus it allow smooth placement of lingual clasp arm. Read about types of block outs in RPD.

Mam im bit confused.. after placing the cast we use analysing rod for parallelism and for that we tilt the cast, then we mark the survey line?? Am i correct..plz reply mam raat me nind nai aaegi nai to
