I think you did a fantastic job on that accessory. I agree with you. I think all the new and old mix perfectly. I like to do the same thing. Great video Greg!
I wonder if some modelers who were using these roadbed sections ended up gluing green dyed sawdust "grass" on them - or even ground foam? Marx did offer a track with a plastic roadbed. A situation where the Trix Twin system would work is where you have a yard switcher putting cars together to form a train as the road engine approaches on the same track.
@@Petemonster62 I wondered the same thing ! I imagine anything is possible ! I believe somewhere I have some of the plastic Marx road bed , might be interesting to check out ! Thanks for clarifying the Trix twin , I was having a bit of a hard time imagining a situation where that system would come into play! I think I do have 2 locomotives but only one currently functions
@@GGSRailways When SMT Mainline was discussing the Trix Twin system on a video, I replied asking how you select which outer rail to use in the locomotive. A British modeler said that there are two screws, one for each outer rail, that you select to hold a wire.
Until you pointed out the "trough" I thought the paint was original factory paint, so I say you did a fantastic job.
