watched about 5 other pedal reviews, got my sights set on Retro Vibe, fantastic sound, now just have to find a retailer where I live. Thanks for the review.
Best Univibe pedal I have ever heard, sounds so Hendrix-like I have to save money and buy one now. Very impressive. Got to love Jam Pedals,...Thanks for the review.
The first couple parts are Band of Gypsys Hendrix, then there's a bit of The End by the Doors but the rest is just me improvising while being inspired by this pedal in the moment. Thanks for checking it out!
Thank you. Anyone who says we are wannabes obviously has a personal connection with PGS and is ignorantly trying to knock us. Check out any demos from us within the last ten months and you will see they look and sound NOTHING like them!
What type of fuzz were you using in the first part of that machine gun like sound?? Very interesting tone! nice clear sound with a fuzzy layer on top of it!
Man, that is the absolute, sloshiest vibe demo I've ever heard. If there's a better vibe clip, and I mean anything as good or better, please let me know! I guess I found a vibe pedal I can really get excited about, so much like the original.
True i guess, when i posted that 2 months ago i had seen 2 videos of Jet City's now i have seen a lot more and even subscribed i still prefer andy as a host and PGS's videos in general but i was silly to make an assumption about JCM having not seen their demos. The demo for the CB30 for example is very very good!
Compared to other vibe units, is the basic sound of this vibe more dark of bright sounding? Because on the video it sounds pretty dark.. What effect do the trimpots have on the overall sound? Thanks!
@paldenno1 I would definitely say that this pedal is better than the Deja Vibe. I own it myself, and it is certainly worth the investment that goes into this pedal.
Nice sound but not for almost $100 more than the Fulltone Mini-Deja-Vibe2. Sorry, if Robin Trower uses it, is great! IMHO and Robin is the closest living player were going to get to Hendrix.
tested it out today, very good but not amazing like the Castledine supra vibe or Sweet sound ultra vibe ii. Not a faithful clone to the original either just a very good univibe.
They probably don't have the amp volume very loud. If they are using a good Condenser Mic like my AT-4040 it will pick up a fly farting in the next room LOL.
i really dig it just think $330 is overpriced at the end of the day were paying for the tonal capabilities and the components not the paintjob i work with surface mounting/through hole components there all priced under $1 each
Everybody is trying to sound like Hendrix smh. YOURE NOT GONNA GET ANYWHERE. A little advice.. Pick a pedal you like and sound like yourself. -Hendrix fan
3 dislikes? probably 3 univibe clone builders. Bwahahah or maybe they didn't have speakers on their pc. Jam Pedals are for real.
I have this pedal and couldn't be more happy. Perfect Trower sound as well as Hendrix.
This and the Drybell are absolutely the best, vintage sounding Vibes
Great Pedal...
Ladies and Gentleman Made in "SUN" of Greece
Great Job Johnny "Jam"
I love how it sounds and looks... very nice vibe pedal. :)
Unreal sounding vibe
MY RetroVibe is on the way home!!! Man, this is a KILLER analog masterpiece.

This still set the standard for vintage univibe sounds..IMHO.
+Jon Merlin Interesting. .which one do you prefer?
best univibe RI i've heard
I don't think this sounds too close to the original Uni-vibe. I think this pedal sounds better!
I like the flower, it's pretty.
neat sounding and looking pedal...i'd say it seems comparable in sound to a lovepedal pickle vibe except you get some more controls with this one...
Thanks! I was using an Xotic BB Preamp for the intro and at the end.
this sounds amazing
Just got mine along with a fuzz phrase. The combo just nails Bridge of Sighs tone!
the depth/intensity in this sounds amazing,i wonder if its better than the mojo vibe or ultra vibe
Thank you. Anyone who says we are wannabes obviously has a personal connection with PGS and is ignorantly trying to knock us. Check out any demos from us within the last ten months and you will see they look and sound NOTHING like them!
so sweet dudes... gonna be my next purchase!
The BB Preamp was put in front of the Vibe and thank you!
agreed 100%. Both PGS and JetCity - Prymaxe too - make great demos!
I prefer Jessica Alba over Eva Mendes but they are both smokin' hot!
Forallofus Plenty yes

The two internal trim pots adjust the overall volume and intensity. They shouldn't have any affect on the tone.
Machine Gun & Who Knows by Band of Gypsys...very cool tone !!!
if it had a vibrato function i would definately have bought it!

this sounds VERY GOOD INDEED!!
which is better retro vibe or ultra vibe, im starting to think that the retro vibe is a bit on the phasery side
Retrovibe before or after dirt in the first song?
And what's the dirtpedal? :)
Compared to other vibe units, is the basic sound of this vibe more dark of bright sounding? Because on the video it sounds pretty dark.. What effect do the trimpots have on the overall sound? Thanks!
this is the eennnndd!

Better than the Fulltone deja vibe?
Hi David. What is the song you're playing from 3:43?
Or should I say just the general riff you play in the demo.
It sounds awesome!
Niceee pedal hendrix
@Karinmakoto it is most definitely a few hours of build given the right components Its a vibe not a Vibrato
niceeeeee
BTW, the sound in this video is,....well, Hendrix would be pursuing this kind of clarity and dynamics!!
mmm sorry to ask this but what's the difference between this n' any TREMOLO pedal ??
This makes you wanna have sex
hah lol well thanks for reply anyway =)
ulsa_smths demo from what i hear vibe is like a simulation of a leslie ( roughly speaking) which means it has some Tremolo/vibrato/chorus associated.
machine gun!!
this pedal is far superior to the cheaper MXR UniVibe pedal thats recently come out imo
@linkwray22
I don't think Jimi would need one to sound like this =)
I love PGS... but I like the JetCity demos better
Why not list the fuzz etc?...
Wooooooow
Nice sound but not for almost $100 more than the Fulltone Mini-Deja-Vibe2. Sorry, if Robin Trower uses it, is great! IMHO and Robin is the closest living player were going to get to Hendrix.
Was the BB Preamp before or after the vibe? BTW you have a killer axe lineup.
tested it out today, very good but not amazing like the Castledine supra vibe or Sweet sound ultra vibe ii.

if people are recording into mic's for these demos, why the fuck can i hear your picks tap the strings....
