    Very nice video. I have the same model TR3. It is from 2007. I've replaced some parts on it and it is still going strong.

      Mr Alan! Man that Thing is truly built Tank Tough just as the Infomercial says! Sadly I should have bought this years ago but I let the price scare me. Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda! Thanx for viewing and commenting on my video. Stay Tuned for more to come. By the way, Post up some videos of you using it! There is always something to learn and maybe you can teach me a thing or 2 after owning yours for 15yrs!

    It looks like the profile blade might be worth it to help with removing grass from your drive. Abi sells them separately but they also look like they are easy enough to make with a bucket cutting edge.
    Thanks for the videos. Appreciate the in-depth look at these attachments!

      Yes you are 100% correct about making the profile blade yourself. I am a DIY guy and love making “improvements” to things I use. Honestly I wish they had added a middle support to it instead of 1 attachment point on each end. This blade flexes which made it miss a lot of clumps of grass. I plan to make a 3rd/ middle attachment point to control and stop that flexing. Just as a reference this is the smallest TR3 and only has 5 scarifier pockets. I also plan to add 2 more scarifiers (like I did with the TR3e i owned) to it at some point.
      But as it sits, I still Love it no matter what and don’t regret buying it!
      I plan to put out more videos, hopefully soon!

    I’m impressed with the results. I have a similar situation but the grass is not as rooted. I can pull clumps out by hand. This attachment would make it go faster for sure. The before and after results are really impressive. I saw an attachment for a skid steer they use to restore gravel drives and roads that was using water in the process and left a perfect path in one pass. Pretty sure it requires hi flow hydros and water source so probs is expensive as heck. Anyhow good job man.

      Mr Eric, Thanx for Watching and Commenting on my Video. I Love this Tool!!! Unfortunately, unlike yourself, I am not lucky enough to have grass that comes up by hand. I wish I did then I wouldn't have to fight that stuff. Stay tuned, as soon as I get a few dry days here in NC I plan to do a video of it ripping out grass and other vegetation from a field that is overgrown. I'm honestly really excited about that video since I have never used it to do this type of work! Stay Tuned and once again.... Thanx for Viewing!!!
      Oh i forgot to add, this really does not take long to do but when i had to stop to explain things that's what lengthened my time. That little parking spot is honestly a 8-10 min job without raking. That was also my first time using the profile blade so please don't Judge me

    • @ericstyer2890

      @@wraith3951 no judging here. I took the box blade out to my gravel strip that is only a year old, that’s how come the grass is not as deeply rooted. I took a hand rake to it afterwards and have piles of grass clumps now, but I got my gravel look back. The TR3 would have made short work of it, I considered taking my new tiller to it but thought better of it, the box blade worked nicely. Hey nice tractor too, those little 1025R are big money. Do you have ballast in the tires yet? Take it easy!

      @wraith3951 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ericstyer2890 Hi! At the time of that video I don’t think that I did have ballast in the tires but if you look closely I was battling a turning issue. I could turn left or right but the tractor pushes forward. Turns out my rear differential lock was still engaged and I didn’t know it. I’m good now and tires are filled. Tractor feels completely different now and turns on a dime!

    I'm looking to get one of these TR3's but after viewing your videos I'm not sure which to get,ABI recommend I should get the TR3e series for the tractor I have which is a Kubota L2501 and they said that the TR3 is heavier for that tractor but I see the tractor you're using is smaller and it looks to handle the TR3 just fine,can you give me your thoughts?I don't wanna spend alot to not to get alot when if you're spending that kind of money I don't wanna be cheated due to the weight and size of tractor if that make any sense at all🤔Love the videos very informative for someone like me looking to get one of these

    • @wraith3951
      @wraith3951 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi krazy! Thanx for watching my video. So to answer your questions as best as possible.
      1) I used the TR3 with 2 different tractors which handled it well. A 1025r and 2025r. I never had an issue with either tractor.
      2) to be honest, up front, and fair I will point out that I have rear hydraulics! It’s is not mandatory to have hydraulics but it REALLY Helps!!!
      3) the TR3e is lite so therefore quick to deal with. My other videos on the same drive way show it better in use. I do not regret owning it and with small lite duty field or yard work, it worked great!
      4) my reasoning for keeping the TR3 over the TR3e came down to usage for me. I can use the TR3 In reverse with a lot more tractor force than I can with the TR3e. Now with that said I still only have a lite duty subcompact tractor which is something I can’t overcome. Loss of traction on heavier pushes to the rear can be limited due to weight of tractor and power of engine. If I had a bigger tractor I could of course do more but I knew this when getting into the TR3 game.
      Hopefully I can get on the tractor this weekend and make a video I have been wanting to do for awhile which will break down and show more of the use on clearing a field.
      Hopefully this helped you in your decision, sorry it is so long

    Looks like that piece of equipment has a learning curve. How the heck do you have weights on the front with the loader??? I have a new 3025e with a loader and I can't put weights or bracket on the front ,hits the cross piece that the hydraulic lines are on. Different loader design I guess. I think your kitty wants a tractor ride!!

    • @wraith3951
      @wraith3951 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanx for watching and commenting. The TR3 takes a short learning curve but it helped that I watched all of ABI’s short videos about 40 times each! Honestly it takes longer to explain everything than it takes when you put it to use for the first 30-40mins. ABI’s little Tik-Tok videos help.
      As for the weights on the front, both the 1 series and this 2025r come with the frame welded with a small bracket that is made specifically to hold 4-5 John Deere 42lb weights. I haven’t tried the 70lbers yet but I am sure I can only use them once the loader is off. I will try to show it in the next video.
      Kitty is not scared so I might try to see if he will ride with me. I will definitely let him know that you mentioned it!

    Why did you get the tr3 after having tr3e

    • @wraith3951
      @wraith3951 ปีที่แล้ว

      To answer that question you have to understand that they r 2 different machines with similar purposes. The “E” is more for Lite Residential use (still very useable to me) where the TR3 is more commercial. How each rake is used is completely different as well. When I first bought the E I didn’t have a hydraulic top link which changed the way I use my implements. I decided to try out the TR3 just to see what it was like and I ended up liking it more with the top link so just decided to go that route.
      Nothing against the TR3e it was a great tool that I would still own today if I still had my 1025r. If you are thinking about buying one I would just look at your finances and how u plan to use it. If u plan to only use it for a arena then get the TR3e. If u plan to really tackle other projects then get the TR3 if finances allow.
      Sorry my answer is so long but I hope it answers your question a bit.
