@@bleepy013 the best they "would let" him have. The Fantastic 4 are actually the tyrannical 3 enslaving their "big dumb rock" to pull the wagons and tank the hits. Bunch of monsters.
He gained the ability to shift back and forth at will after Secret Wars, but that was just an excuse to get him out of the way for awhile so a much cooler hero could join the fantastic 4.

The funny thing is that in the comics The Thing is canonically Jewish and it’s a large part of his character, so he probably is circumcised

When bashing The Thing, they forgot to mention that scene in the movie where his fiance broke up with him on the bridge and threw the ring at his feet and he couldn't pick it up with his huge rock hands. (or something like that, It's been a long time since I've watched this movie. They just triggered something in my deepest memories)
and ends up with a blind woman.
I like in the 2nd film when hot johnny literally just asks the brick about his blind gf and how they have sex, and was concerned that she would die in a landslide.

I'm pretty sure I've said it before but the James and Patrick dynamic is my current favorite. It'll never replace Boose but it's definitely high up on my list.

Moments like these where we realize James' movie knowledge is not absolute.
They didn't even mention the funniest part after Ben saves a suicidal man and several others on the Brooklyn Bridge. While a crowd cheers his heroics, his fiancee gives him a disgusted look, throws her engagement ring on the ground, and disappears into the crowd. What a kick in the stones.
He's the worst storyteller.
James had me in stitches with his explanation of The Brick. 🤣
Loved this episode. Also loved that they kinda touched on something that's always amused me about comic books in general and Marvel in particular. I'm a casual fan, not a collector or anything, so I picked up one of those big art books that serves as a guide to the characters in the Marvel universe, and the number of times I came across an entry that described a character as being the "most powerful" became something of a running joke. I guess what Qui Gon said was true -- there's always a bigger fish. He also said "uuuuuugh" after Darth Maul killed him, but you could barely hear it.
I love how Elyse sets up the jokes and then you guys knock them out of the park every time! Great stuff

@@SirPerfectful perhaps you call the preparatory line of improv comedy something else but the rest of the world calls what she is doing SETTING UP. James and the others make most of the jokes here based off of her. Hope that helps clear up what I (and other people in the comments as well) mean
Every time James started the sentece with: "The thing is..." I was a confused if he was talking about Ben, laughing, feeling bad for Ben or all three of these things.
All i learned from FH is that the Human Torch's real name is Johnny Torch, Human Johnny, Blaze Torch, Johnny Fire and Hot Johnny

I can't express how much amusement I get from the exchange at 9:49 . James saying, "No, the whole story had been told" is the funniest thing to me and I'm not sure why.
I played this game as a kid. It wasn't fun but we still played it for some reason.

I remember a long time ago when this game came out I was around five years old. I didn’t have a computer but I seen the game at Walmart with my mom and she not knowing anything about games bought it for me, but it was for pc. Ending up returning it and i cried.
Not sure how I missed this video. Only found out about it because of the recent TikTok short they uploaded. It's missing from the Marvel Monday's playlist, but it was uploaded January 31st which was a Monday. Curse you, TH-cam algorithm!

5:20 read the comics. The Thing has a whole comic line, and a few short series. The Hulk vs The Thing lines are usually funny. Pretty good reads. If you don't want the actual paper they're all out on comixology.
Oh yeah, I remember The Brick and his teammates, Torch Man, The See-Through Woman and Mister Good.
This is the first episode I've watched in full in a while--like, since the pandemic began--and this is such a good episode to get back into it.

Yoooooo I very vaguely remember playing this game co-op with my stepbrother on like the Wii? It was honestly a pretty fun playthrough, even though I never read the comics or knew who the heck the Fantastic 4 were at the time. Also we should set up a fund so that The Brick can get euthanized.

Seriously though, I used to really like First Class but it hasn't aged well for me. The thing that keeps it from being below average is the friendship between Charles and Eric.
@@_SomeGuyOnline super late, but the thing that surprises me the most is that they found another pair of actors who have amazing chemistry on screen, like Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are unbeatable but James McAvoy and Michael Fassbinder encapsulated that Magneto and professor X vibe to a T
