I love how the Dream Weavers world makes a contrast between good dreams and nightmares. You have the Home World - some sort of fortress high up in the sky, very colourful, a good place to watch and protect the dreams of the creatures below. Dark Passage - I adore the theme of these tiny cute creatures becoming huge and terrifying once the lights go out, it perfectly reflects the human fear of the dark and the level always gives me a tense feeling of not knowing what might be around the next corner. Lofty Castle - Huge fantasy castle up in space. It's a very colourful environment and a very magical experience to play. The music is soothing and almost feels like your just drifting away in your own world of dreams. Haunted Towers - I don't really have as much to say about this. It does stick with the fantasy theme and maybe is made to reflect the human fear of ghosts in the re-animated armour suits(even though the wizards are clearly responsible). Jacques - this level is a very nightmarish landscape filled with these disturbing creatures with huge claws and sharp teeth. The music is kinda goofy but in an creepy sort of way. The colours also show off the nightmare-like theme, you can see a lot of dull gray and black but importantly red, a colour associated with fear. It in general, not a very happy area. Also Jacques hifself could reflect a fear of clowns. Maybe?

This is one of the most darkest bosses in the game.. even more dark than Toasty.. In the dreamweaver world, it's mostly just none-sense and things that could actually happen within the dream world.. However when you go into Jacques level.. everything turns dark and serious.. like a nightmare.. the further you progress Dreamweavers the more you begin to notice that this nice charming dream is turning into a nightmare.
I never paid attention to how amazing the music was in this game as a kid. After playing this on Reignited Trilogy, this song is so badass. That bass in the background is delicious. Omg I love Spyro..

i can still feel the excitement and mounting tension when i was in this level. i just had a few more levels to go and... well, lets just say that this is most definitely one of the best games ive ever played. tlos dotd and we ski barely match up to it. (yes i have a wii)

@LidsAreFun My songs never screw up in Spyro 1. They are all perfect. My only screwed up Original Spyro disc is Spyro 3, which screwed up so many songs... You should imagine my reaction when I heard the REAL evening Lake and Final Boss Battle (NOT Bonus Level).

Have to say there were lots of creepy enemies and get lost easy(I did) But it was still my favourite level in my early years.
