Yu ra is too cartoonish for me. I mean, it's bad enough Min Hwan and Su Min are ugh, but Yu ra just took the cake with the fantasy evil mistress LOL. If grandfather wants someone like that, he should just marry her instead LOL. I mean...that's more realistic than the whole Yu Ra plotting against Ji Won.
She is indeed a Disney villain and she actually makes Soomin look tame by comparison, not by much but Yu-Ra is a despicable woman. If Soomin is emotionally unstable and clingy, then Yu-Ra is a full blown sociopath with an egomaniacal Super villain complex, the shitty thing is... she has the money and power to get away with it too!!!! Yu-Ra is a supervillain that is why she looked at Soomin and Min-Hwan and she already knew how to read them and their plans. Yu-Ra sees their plots and says "thats cute, you two are morons and I am the Leader now!"

Where the hell the chef and bubbly foodie girl romance not even started. I loved mrs yang senior (yang juran). her character had a good twist .all jiwon curse shifted to her pity women. But here her boss mr. lee is going to be savior 😅for her, who's married to lazybum womanizer like park minhwan 😅 . I'm looking forward for their chemistry somuch for our next couple yanglee 🎉🎉🎉 .I'm so loving gong minjung she's giving me gong hyojin vibes mr lee is so hot and cold .
If they followed the webtoon where ji hyuk's stepmom just appeared in one panel and the next, she's slapping people who have hurt "her daughter" (jiwon) despite having no backstory, history or primary connection with her, this whole thing would have been too laughable. At least the appearance of this yu ra character is more "kdrama" commonplace, absurd as it may seem.
i feel like it would be cool to have added her as a cliffhanger to s1 instead of adding her in rn. theres alot of plots to explore rn, and adding this plus the other subplots that comes w it is making the whole thing complicated imo. it’s necessary, but there’s a time and place for stuff ykyk

Nope, Yura is not in the webtoon. In the webtoo Sumin find out that Jihuck is the succsessor from U&A and he plans his marriage with Jiwon. Sumin thinks that's Jiwons fault that her dad and Jiwons Mum endet up together and she will harm her for that, so she made a call to Jiwons mother and told her the "rich marriage". Jiwons mum thought she could get money from her son-in-law-to-be but Jiwon became wind from that... from the webtoon, in the end Sumin was not pregnant and a spermtest of Minwhan brought that he is steril. Her mum-in-law found that out and became an apoplex, in the hospital Sumin killed her. In the same time Minwhan has to pay debts but had no money for it, so he took an assurence of Sumins life and planned to kill her by manipulating his car. He forgot that and as he get a call that his mother was passed away he took his car, had a deadly accident. Sumin got in jail. Jihuck in the webtoon fell ill without that accident but recoveres later cause he heard Jiwon cry... So wait and see what the scriptwriter and director made in the drama, the follows the webtoon or they made up an own story (by the way, ther is many not so as in the webtoon what I saw from clips).

I knew I hated the woman even before they introduced her. From the flashbacks with her father, and what Ji-won revealed, we already knew she was a bad mother who only cared about herself and not her family. She is a lesson in what a Horrible mother is. Thank God, Ji-won doesnt take after her mother but her father.

Why are they ruining this story? I was so happy they made this into a tv drama but now I wish I’d never seen it. They could have made their own cliched story with all the boring tropes without ruining a perfectly good webtoon.
Many are saying that the drama closely follows the novel storyline.. i like this better became if it was same as the webtoon there won't be any excitement, you know what will happen anyway 🤷 this is done in order to keep the viewers hooked to the drama.. Ji-Won’s confusion is sooo odd here. Cuz like Ji-huyk wasn’t even married to Yu-ra, so for Ji-Won to breakup over a political engagement is just sooo odd. It’s overly dramatic and makes this show more clinche then ever😂

Ya, but also Ji-Hyuk should have come clean in the beginning itself, It is true that breaking up over this is a bit too much, but Ji-won is also too over sensitive about this topic with what happened with her parents. This engagement meant nothing to him, but he broke it ultimately because of Ji-won only, which Ji-won is not able to accept.

This show is always making me think about personality disorders, and here goes: Dependent personality disorder, in which a person depends too much on others and feels that they need to be taken care of. They may let others treat them badly because they are afraid of losing the relationship. Ji-won herself feels the absense of her mother. She latches onto bad people thinking they support and love her. Ji-won puts up with bad behavior because she feels she doesn't deserve true happiness. She is shy, and has trouble being honest with people who pushes her around. Its only through her 2nd life that she changes. Narcissistic personality disorder, in which a person lacks empathy and wants to be admired by others. They think that they are better than others and that they deserve special treatment. This to me shouts of Soo-Min. Early on she clings to Ji-won and always takes whatever she wants from Ji-won, she wants to be close by and she always seeks the attention of others while acting like a savior to Ji-won, when in actuality she is the one who is holding Ji-won hostage and making her feel inferior. She uses Ji-won to inflate her own ego. She needs validation and she needs Ji-won as a stepping stool to elevate herself. Histrionic personality/Borderline personality disorder, in which a person is dramatic, has strong emotions, and always wants attention from others. Min-Hwan is a drama queen. He is a man, but he is very manipulative man child. He raises his voice like a spoiled kid around Ji-won and later Soo-min if he doesnt get his way. When he wants something he will be very cunning and sweet, trying to charm his way into getting what he wants, but if gets rejected he is loud and obnoxious. His mood changes on a dime. Antisocial personality disorder, in which a person has a long-term pattern of manipulating, exploiting, or violating the rights of others. From what little I have seen Yu-Ra fits this bill. She believes in her territory and she resorts to any measure if someone comes close to taking away her things. She is possessive and borders on Obsessive Compulsive. When her engagement to Ji-Hyuk is broken off, she can't fathom why anyone would reject her. She also seems to have a superiority complex and hates to lose to anyone else. She will lie, cheat and steal to win. She is similar to SooMin but just has the resources and power to do what she feels like on a whim. She is a true super villain. Avoidant personality disorder, in which a person is very shy and feels that they are not as good as others. They often avoid people because they fear rejection. Two people come to mind, Ji-Hyuk and Ju-Ran. Both are office workers and seem to live only to work. Ji-Hyuk in his previous life didn't talk to people and was seen by his employees as being aloof and robotic. But in truth he was shy, and didn't know how to socialize. Ju-Ran works hard, while her husband stays at home and cheats on her. She keeps getting passed by on promotions and she doesn't speak up for herself against Mr Kim. Both persons avoid conflict and let things slip by.

I don't get why Ji-won breaks up with Ji-hyuk. She was also practically married to Min-hwan! She could be too much of a miss goody two shoes at times. It's super annoying. And her dying and coming back didn't open her eyes all that much. She still cries and is miserable.
No one in reality would breakup in real life over such a lame excuse. He waa in a contract business relationship. Not a love match. And need we remind the Main Girl lead that technically shes was married 10 years and he still wants her. Gotta love the kdrama tropes though. Hopefully this storyline get wrapped up quickly cause there is just 4 episodes left and you know we are going to get our Main Girl Lead in a fabulous looking wedding dress.
It's like Glory, but with more drama, less blood, tantamount of manipulation and more romance. The only similarity is there are multiple evil people who needs to be punished and hopefully, will be punished.
I have stopped watching after Yu-ra's entrance. There's a good reason why she wasn't in the webtoon and that's because its too much unnecessary drama. I usually do not like series or movies adapted from a book if I've already read it before but when i started watching this series i was so impressed. Mainly because it was so much more realistic than the webtoon. But now i think I'll drop it. In the webtoon the grandfather and even Jihyuk's step mom was so supportive of Jiwon. Especially when his mom defended Jiwon against her own mother. I kinda hoped they had kept the characters as they were.
The drama storyline is a bit off since there's this additional cast, yoora. They may have changed the story since it's impossible for sumin & minhwan to do their evil plan without any money involved. that's why yoora needed, to sponsor the evil plan and leave without a trace (I guess)...
I mean according to the quote pre-mentioned "Fate can't be avoided it can only be exchanged" or something like that, Either ji won and ji hyuk or some other duo has to die and su min and Min Hwan has to go to jail so I'm guessing they will stay on this main story line even if there were to be twists.
If we're going with the webtoon, what's going to happen is that min hwan will take the fall for ji hyuk dying and min hwan's mother will lose her life in ji won's place (though not exactly the same way, but still in su min's hands)

And I’m dropping this . This ain’t it . What happened to the romance between the secondary character? That would’ve been more interesting than this random villain nobody asked for . Honestly Yura was so unnecessary. We already have su min and min hwan to hate, just adding yura kind of complicates it. I absolutely love the webtoon and i was loving the drama as well but episode 12 really disappointed me. Every drama creator should respect the original story.
For me Yu Ra would've been more effective if she's not a cartoonish evil villain. A sincere yet flawed woman who truly cared for JiHyuk but need the marriage alliance to happen due to external reason (her family going bankrupt, etc). Then, it'll be more 'heartrending' and a possible 'triangle' can happen. Sure, less crazy drama, but more emotional twist. Min Hwan and Su Min's downfall should be similar to the webtoon, imo...it's more effective. Because their downfall is mostly due to their own doing, they tried to hurt each other, which is more believable.
These two clowns 🤡🤡 is Min Hwan and Soo Min has their fair shares punishment. I think the script writer ran out off scripts and added in Yu Ra Ji hyuk X fiancee as a villain. She is more evil than the two clowns 😂 Hopefully, the drama doesn't lead us nowhere or make our nerves burst. 😤 Episode 13/14 now can comes slowly.......end it smoothly with good ending 😅 Don't disappoint me 🙏
I haven’t watched the latest episode as they have ruined it for me with this yura character. Not only is she not in the Webtoon, but she just isn’t needed for the story. They should have just focused on the current characters and their story lines, which are already very good and entertaining. We’re missing out on JuRans story, EunHo & HeeYeon, Sumin going crazy, theirs lives afterwards. There more than enough without some random character 😅
Honestly, thinking about it, it’s good they put this little bump in the road for the two main leads. Their happiness in ep 11 was too fake for me. Want genuine. Real memories and feelings were not expressed. Just physical and getting to know each other better. Now after they get past this woman they will have a more grounded relationship. She will have more trust and he will be more open. His the way of these dramas. Always add something to it to drive the main leads closer together.

I’m not liking the Yu Ra storyline. It’s a bit too much considering everything that has already happened and her character came out of nowhere. They should have planted the seeds of her storyline from the beginning and not just mention her two episodes ago.
This ml is a complete idiot he is rich and can fight head on with the ex but instead in put his life on the line and if he dies how the hell will the fl end up so why not get others to help him protect her! No smart at all but this is all for the drama but it’s unnecessary at this point useless other than to shock the viewers
I know I did the right thing not watching the latest episode. This is not only highly childish, immature and deeply unrealistic as well. I like the main leads, but that doesn't mean I'll take any trash they throw at their viewers. The Yu Ra thing is laughable and how the woman acting to play an unwanted, immature villain. Also, the main leads are acting out of their tracks, or out of their small brains may be. This drama started out good, but now it's the same old stories we have been watching in most of the Korean dramas. At the moment, the only better and slightly mature kdrama is Captivating the King.
I'm starting to not enjoy this drama. I've loved it till now. What is wrong with the casting of this show? First, Eun Ho, who looks like a high schooler, is picked for the Flead's love interest. Ridiculous. He is very handsome but he looks like he should be back in school. Then Yura. She (sorry) looks OLD!!! Aren't there any 30 something actresses around? Casting is very important. Some dramas fail because of wrong casting. Some are super big hits because the right actor/actress was chosen (Mr. Queen, Weightlifting Fairy to name a few). These 2 were obviously the wrong choice. Too bad, it was great while it lasted!
I’m quitting this show because of the addition of Yura. It’s unnecessary and makes the show even more unrealistic than it already is. This was my first shot into kdrama mainly because I enjoyed the webtoon. It pisses me off that they thought this would be a cool idea.

This was a good drama up until Yura's appearance. Instead of dragging it out to make 16 episodes, they should've ended it early with a happy ending for Jiwon

Plus, if Yu-Ra is an evil despicable human being..... do you think she would leave evidence behind? Her mum-in-law found that out and became an apoplex, in the hospital Sumin killed her. In the same time Minwhan has to pay debts but had no money for it, so he took an assurence of Sumins life and planned to kill her by manipulating his car. He forgot that and as he get a call that his mother was passed away he took his car, had a deadly accident. Sumin got in jail.
Jihuck in the webtoon fell ill without that accident but recoveres later cause he heard Jiwon cry...

From the flashbacks with her father, and what Ji-won revealed, we already knew she was a bad mother who only cared about herself and not her family. She is a lesson in what a Horrible mother is. Thank God, Ji-won doesnt take after her mother but her father.

Why are they ruining this story? I was so happy they made this into a tv drama but now I wish I’d never seen it. They could have made their own cliched story with all the boring tropes without ruining a perfectly good webtoon.
Many are saying that the drama closely follows the novel storyline.. i like this better became if it was same as the webtoon there won't be any excitement, you know what will happen anyway 🤷 this is done in order to keep the viewers hooked to the drama.. This show is always making me think about personality disorders, and here goes:
Dependent personality disorder, in which a person depends too much on others and feels that they need to be taken care of. They may let others treat them badly because they are afraid of losing the relationship. Ji-won herself feels the absense of her mother. She latches onto bad people thinking they support and love her. Ji-won puts up with bad behavior because she feels she doesn't deserve true happiness. She is shy, and has trouble being honest with people who pushes her around. Its only through her 2nd life that she changes.
Narcissistic personality disorder, in which a person lacks empathy and wants to be admired by others. They think that they are better than others and that they deserve special treatment. This to me shouts of Soo-Min. Early on she clings to Ji-won and always takes whatever she wants from Ji-won, she wants to be close by and she always seeks the attention of others while acting like a savior to Ji-won, when in actuality she is the one who is holding Ji-won hostage and making her feel inferior. She uses Ji-won to inflate her own ego. She needs validation and she needs Ji-won as a stepping stool to elevate herself.
Histrionic personality/Borderline personality disorder, in which a person is dramatic, has strong emotions, and always wants attention from others. Min-Hwan is a drama queen. He is a man, but he is very manipulative man child. He raises his voice like a spoiled kid around Ji-won and later Soo-min if he doesnt get his way. When he wants something he will be very cunning and sweet, trying to charm his way into getting what he wants, but if gets rejected he is loud and obnoxious. His mood changes on a dime.
Antisocial personality disorder, in which a person has a long-term pattern of manipulating, exploiting, or violating the rights of others. From what little I have seen Yu-Ra fits this bill. She believes in her territory and she resorts to any measure if someone comes close to taking away her things. She is possessive and borders on Obsessive Compulsive. When her engagement to Ji-Hyuk is broken off, she can't fathom why anyone would reject her. She also seems to have a superiority complex and hates to lose to anyone else. She will lie, cheat and steal to win. She is similar to SooMin but just has the resources and power to do what she feels like on a whim. She is a true super villain.
Avoidant personality disorder, in which a person is very shy and feels that they are not as good as others. They often avoid people because they fear rejection. Two people come to mind, Ji-Hyuk and Ju-Ran. Both are office workers and seem to live only to work. Ji-Hyuk in his previous life didn't talk to people and was seen by his employees as being aloof and robotic. But in truth he was shy, and didn't know how to socialize. Ju-Ran works hard, while her husband stays at home and cheats on her. She keeps getting passed by on promotions and she doesn't speak up for herself against Mr Kim. Both persons avoid conflict and let things slip by.

I don't get why Ji-won breaks up with Ji-hyuk. She was also practically married to Min-hwan! She could be too much of a miss goody two shoes at times. It's super annoying. And her dying and coming back didn't open her eyes all that much. She still cries and is miserable.

No one in reality would breakup in real life over such a lame excuse. He waa in a contract business relationship. Not a love match. And need we remind the Main Girl lead that technically shes was married 10 years and he still wants her. Gotta love the kdrama tropes though. Hopefully this storyline get wrapped up quickly cause there is just 4 episodes left and you know we are going to get our Main Girl Lead in a fabulous looking wedding dress.
It's like Glory, but with more drama, less blood, tantamount of manipulation and more romance. The only similarity is there are multiple evil people who needs to be punished and hopefully, will be punished.

I have stopped watching after Yu-ra's entrance. There's a good reason why she wasn't in the webtoon and that's because its too much unnecessary drama. I usually do not like series or movies adapted from a book if I've already read it before but when i started watching this series i was so impressed. Mainly because it was so much more realistic than the webtoon. But now i think I'll drop it. In the webtoon the grandfather and even Jihyuk's step mom was so supportive of Jiwon. Especially when his mom defended Jiwon against her own mother. I kinda hoped they had kept the characters as they were.
There is a reason if she is in the original story, I.e. the novel, the Webtoon is not the original story.

The drama storyline is a bit off since there's this additional cast, yoora. They may have changed the story since it's impossible for sumin & minhwan to do their evil plan without any money involved. that's why yoora needed, to sponsor the evil plan and leave without a trace (I guess)...
I mean according to the quote pre-mentioned "Fate can't be avoided it can only be exchanged" or something like that, Either ji won and ji hyuk or some other duo has to die and su min and Min Hwan has to go to jail so I'm guessing they will stay on this main story line even if there were to be twists.
If we're going with the webtoon, what's going to happen is that min hwan will take the fall for ji hyuk dying and min hwan's mother will lose her life in ji won's place (though not exactly the same way, but still in su min's hands)

Honestly Yura was so unnecessary. We already have su min and min hwan to hate, just adding yura kind of complicates it. I absolutely love the webtoon and i was loving the drama as well but episode 12 really disappointed me. Every drama creator should respect the original story.
For me Yu Ra would've been more effective if she's not a cartoonish evil villain. A sincere yet flawed woman who truly cared for JiHyuk but need the marriage alliance to happen due to external reason (her family going bankrupt, etc). Then, it'll be more 'heartrending' and a possible 'triangle' can happen. Sure, less crazy drama, but more emotional twist. Min Hwan and Su Min's downfall should be similar to the webtoon, imo...it's more effective. Because their downfall is mostly due to their own doing, they tried to hurt each other, which is more believable.
These two clowns 🤡🤡 is Min Hwan and Soo Min has their fair shares punishment. I think the script writer ran out off scripts and added in Yu Ra Ji hyuk X fiancee as a villain. She is more evil than the two clowns 😂 Hopefully, the drama doesn't lead us nowhere or make our nerves burst. 😤 Episode 13/14 now can comes slowly.......end it smoothly with good ending 😅 Don't disappoint me 🙏
I haven’t watched the latest episode as they have ruined it for me with this yura character. Not only is she not in the Webtoon, but she just isn’t needed for the story. They should have just focused on the current characters and their story lines, which are already very good and entertaining. We’re missing out on JuRans story, EunHo & HeeYeon, Sumin going crazy, theirs lives afterwards. There more than enough without some random character 😅

Honestly, thinking about it, it’s good they put this little bump in the road for the two main leads. Their happiness in ep 11 was too fake for me. Want genuine. Real memories and feelings were not expressed. Just physical and getting to know each other better. Now after they get past this woman they will have a more grounded relationship. She will have more trust and he will be more open. His the way of these dramas. Always add something to it to drive the main leads closer together.

I know I did the right thing not watching the latest episode. This is not only highly childish, immature and deeply unrealistic as well. I like the main leads, but that doesn't mean I'll take any trash they throw at their viewers. The Yu Ra thing is laughable and how the woman acting to play an unwanted, immature villain. Also, the main leads are acting out of their tracks, or out of their small brains may be. This drama started out good, but now it's the same old stories we have been watching in most of the Korean dramas. At the moment, the only better and slightly mature kdrama is Captivating the King.

I'm starting to not enjoy this drama. I've loved it till now. What is wrong with the casting of this show? First, Eun Ho, who looks like a high schooler, is picked for the Flead's love interest. Ridiculous. He is very handsome but he looks like he should be back in school. Then Yura. She (sorry) looks OLD!!! Aren't there any 30 something actresses around? Casting is very important. Some dramas fail because of wrong casting. Some are super big hits because the right actor/actress was chosen (Mr. Queen, Weightlifting Fairy to name a few). These 2 were obviously the wrong choice. Too bad, it was great while it lasted!
I’m quitting this show because of the addition of Yura. It’s unnecessary and makes the show even more unrealistic than it already is. This was my first shot into kdrama mainly because I enjoyed the webtoon. It pisses me off that they thought this would be a cool idea.
