Yumiko Alexander’s designs are beautiful. Thanks for showing us around. The Los Angeles Fiber Fest will be in November at the LA County Fairgrounds in Pomona.
Will you be going to the LA Fiber Fest? If so I would love to hear your thoughts on your experience. I so want to make one of the DanDoh tops just can't decide where to start ☺️
The only time I've ever really seen the nylon wrapped yarn was from Malabrigo. They have a base called caracol that is like that - I have used it for hats before 🙂. As soon as you started showing Yumiko Alexander's designs, I recognized them. She has such great patterns, so many gorgeous ones!
@@belindasbaubles I did like the hats. Regular stockinette because the yarn was so busy. I have a terrible habit of not making pattern pages for hats or I’d say the pattern. But I was very happy with the yarn as something different. I used a red solid color with black nylon. Next time I want to try a pretty variegated with black nylon, I think it would provide more oomph than just a solid 🙂
DFW is Dallas, Fort Worth (two cities in Texas) the festival is mid September each year and is held at the Irving Convention center which is somewhat in the middle of the metroplex.
OMG the lady in the red pants over by the yarn gumball machine for savy skeins is ME. lol i got a yellow and a blue mini skein from the machine .
Oh wow! So close!

I was so excited getting to talk with her. How was the nylon wrapped yarn? Did you like the hats?
