I mean for backline troops this would make good sense, like you have the actual helmets be used by the troops most likely to meet enemy resistance, then have these helmets be given to soldiers in the back line who is most likely to meet ill equiped partisans or such.
the Russian postage fees are pure horror. as if they don't want to sell stuff outside their country. such a heavy helmet must be around 90 bucks for shipping, if not even more...
The Russian government is under the rule of the "pro-West liberals" since the 90s so they actually do not want the Russian economy to develop beyond being a natural resources donor, hence the idiotically high shipping fees and taxes on businesses.
Even if the helmet stopped a .308, the helmet survives but not the person who got shot with it because it'll certainly whiplash your spinal and internally decapitating you.
That's a really interesting concept, I really wonder if it works well. Based on your past experience with Russian helmets, do you think that this hybrid helmet would actually work well and maybe actually stop a 7.73 Tokarev?
@@MikeB128 Sorry, typo. I meant 7.62 Tokarev. So, do you think that if you were to shoot this helmet with the Tokarev it would actually stop it or would go clean through like most other helmets?
Yes they are I'm assuming you live in the U.S too cuz it takes ages to ship, although having ems shipping helps a lot. Also I'd advise downloading the russian post app to constantly track packages.
Internal troops of Russia are far from elite or badass XD They use old re-activated+modernzied soviet equipment (that ranges from things like personal equipment to even tanks, they recently reactivated some T-62Ms to see how usefull they would be after modernization) as hard rear of the professional army. They are just simply Russian National Guard or as they call it out there in mordor, the Rosgvardiya which literally means Federal National Guard Troops Service of the Russian Federation, so yeah... far from elite or badass.
in russias national guard are included units like sobr and vityaz wich are modern equiped. they are atleast some internal military troops that are armed at the same level like the professional army ( there were orders placed for ak 12 rifles for the internal troops as an example ). the thing is that the internal military units are not as important as they used to be. the chechen wars are over and evrything else is handled by other units more qualified for those tasks. those T62 youre reffering to were used during a military exeercise for worst case scenario basicly they took them out of the reserve modernized and repaired them and used them. it was a test to see how fast that could be made. after that exercise they were given to syrian goverment.
This is like making the M1 helmet in Kevlar material, it's an interesting take
You mean the liner, because the outside of this is still steel.
@@MikeB128 yeah, I just typed it out without watching through the video
Koreans actually built M1 helmet with ballistic nylons. Even exported them to Middle East like Iraq.

Such a cool helmet, I’ve found those for $500 on eBay. Crazy
Geyssser I got mine for 40 bit the strap is broken
Wish these things weren't pure unobtainium. They're pretty neat.
I’m very happy to see a review on this helmet!
I believe some of these have been spotted in the Russo-Ukraine war. If not these then they were full steel ssh-68s

Totally agree, absolute shame to test this.
That helmet that stopped 7.62 x 51 NATO what was that helmet specifically what model please and thank you
It says it right in the title, and about 15 times during the video.......th-cam.com/video/LH9ddMb83-U/w-d-xo.html
