Ky was in creative (I assume that’s also how she set the hunt up) so she could have very well put it in another dimension, vanilla or even modded if they wanted. Only thing confirmed was that the sucker was visible. Plus in the spirit of the two Lps this was based from, she could have very well set up decoys, booby traps, or (as Geoff noted) stuck it up in the air somewhere instead for them to build up to. Really, ky took it easy on them.

And now with Ky hosting the 500th episode, I realize how much fucking older I am then when 1. I found AH/RT and 2. When the first Minecraft episode came out. My first video was Jack and Geoff doing a guide for Skate 3 on "Jumping the Shark", I just happened to watch that video the day it released (April 29, 2010; nearly 12 years ago), and the first Minecraft video came out nearly a decade ago. I'd argue that my formative years were watching AH/RT content, I was 10 when I first found AH and 12 when the first Minecraft video released. Crazy to think that These lovable bunch of idiots are the reason I found Junior High and High School more bearable that it was. I'm 22 now, and thanks to these guys I have so many memories that I can look back on fondly because I found friends who also like AH and RT through out my school years. Thank you all so much.

I don't watch AH much, I enjoy their podcasts a lot and amazing interactions there, but I pop by occasionally to see this group and see what's happening. Yep started watching at 12 and I turn 23 next week time flies but through the ups and downs of life AH has always been a constant source of enjoyment for me. Trips me out to think about 12 yr old me watching the first wipeout and comparing it to everything happening today. Time truly is a wonder
Some of my favourite AH MC moments were when Michael planted the munch dew down in sky factory and it ate the back half of Geoff’s two trees leaves and Geoff freaked out, and when they needed to find red and yellow flowers for an early episode like one of the King episodes idr which one, and they couldn’t find red flowers for the longest, everyone had yellow and then Ray did it almost immediately bc he had bones, made bonemeal and got a red flower that way. Among others, lol good times.
While giving the x, y, and z coordinate in order is definitely helpful, it’d have been really funny to just give the three at random without specifying which it is.

maybe for different coordinates, but 500 10 500 can only be in that configuration bc of the bulid limit. unless they changed it to be more than 256 ofc. although i guess had the 10 come first it couldve caused some confusion haha
I'll be honest - this is the first minecraft video in a about 2 months I even clicked on and mainly becuase this is the 500:th episode and thought it would get some nostalgia feelings. Gavin, Jack and Geoff is the people we need, atleast one of them!
same for me tbh, It's been a while since I dropped from the AH train. I got tired of the same stuff, I know they are too, sad to see them try to squeeze this for so long. It's none of them's fault. I was 11 when I first came across achievement Hunter’s Minecraft let’s plays, it’s what got me into this channel in the first place, also introduced me to Minecraft.
So I like the sentiment of this episode, but the fun of the original episode was them trying to get the Tower back. This episode ended right before the episode should have really picked up.
Also not being told exactly where it was, mind you the map was much smaller back then. But yeah, the sentiment was nice but sadly missing the best part of the original.
Been watching AH since like Minecraft #4 or something. I remember the day I found it, I watched the entire series in part of an afternoon. Many great memories over the years! Pubert Addams. Jeremy's secret room. Free Edgar. Cake Wall. Jack's propeller hat. Gavin's Trophy Room of Victory. "Ruining your day in 3... 2... 1...". Gavin testing vein-mining on the floor. The burning of Mega-Tower.... Gotta be honest though, a lot of that magic feels like it's a thing of the past, gone with the majority of the enjoyable lunatics who created it. Ray, Jeremy, Geoff, Gavin almost entirely, the former occupant of Kung-Fu House that wasn't named Edgar, because for some reason we can't even say his name... I've always tried to accept new members. Matt and Trevor and Lindsay (and Jeremy) have all been great, and Alfredo has his moments too. But as the even newer members continue to take the spotlight from the familiar, I've found my interest waning. I used to keep up with each episode on the day it came out. I'm ...well, just getting to this one, a month late. I've started skipping G-mod videos just because Ky is in them because I don't enjoy her and they're not fun to watch. Deadline and Sumo GTA videos are getting a bit stale... I'm going to try and stick it out until Minecraft 520, just for that milestone. But I'm sorry to say that AH just isn't the same any more. Not to me, at least.
A lot of people feel the same. There's a reason why this video has almost double the views the episode before it does. Many people are the same as you. I used to be the same though I think I came in around episode 50 or so. Used to watch daily, even when the content started feeling a bit different. I held on because I'd been watching pretty much religiously for years but then it went down to only certain shows, I used to watch just about anything and loved them clowning around. Now I can say the only video I've watched of recent AH that I really liked was the new Olympics video they did a few months back. Bunny man was great and Let's Roll was good for a while but the online killed most interest I had in it, even now that it's back in person it hasn't felt the same. Old AH is gone. I don't even know all the members anymore. I clicked on a Mario party episode not too long back and didn't know half the people in the video. AH used to be just 6 people. Now they have over double that while losing most of the originals. RoosterTeeth is pretty much A podcast service now. They have like 7 or something. They're so far from where they began.
@@TheMichaelmyth Yeah, exactly. I haven't even been back to the channel in about a month now, because after 2021 it doesn't feel like there's anything ....interesting that could have happened. I'm considering maybe having a look at Play Pals and seeing if they've got more of that lately, because that still has some of the same energy. After all, it is just two of the original AH members, the same as always. But going to the channel now just makes me feel sad.

outside the different series' they've done, i wholeheartedly believe find the tower, tower of geoff, storm the tower, and dig down are some of the best vids, i'm excited to watch this!!!
gonna be real, this felt low effort compared to the other 100th episode markers. I would've expected more from someone like Ky who has been watching them for so long
When was the last time they did a themed series in Minecraft like Skyblock or the Jurassic Park, I've missed them having an end goal with chill lego-talk throughout. Missed the old vibes of fuck around in Minecraft like this while vaguely working to a goal
I honestly hated it, the series go on too long and too many of their long time minecraft viewers leave so not as much ad revenue it’s too much of a waste of time for them
Regardless of everything that's still one of my favorite moments too. Michael's sheer incredulous response when he sees Edgar back in the hole always kills me.
We all hate that things of the sort have happened in our community, but it is very important to not section off years off amazing content because it had one awful person in it. Said person made several of my favorite moments possible and highlighted the comedy of the people around them. Fuck what he did, but im glad the videos involving him are still there for me to reminisce on. But seriously fuck that guy..

Yeah, recent Minecraft episodes have mostly been all misses. It really went down hill after they forced everyone to build their houses of video and go on with these gamemodes. The cast just isn't entertaining enough, with Jeremey and Gavin being gone, and Michael missing out on the occasional episodes. Sad :(

Remember back in Tower of Geoff part 2 how Gavin said on a whim "I assume, we're gonna play Minecraft till the end of time"? Well welcome to almost a decade later.
It is said that all great things must come to an end. So many of their original series have done just that. HUNT/HORSE, Fails of the Weak, Go, VS; just to name a few. Minecraft has been going on for 500 weeks now (give or take a couple after the [REDACTED] incident]. I am genuinely curious at what point are they considering ending this series. I mean nothing lasts forever and after so long I'm sure they've thought about it.
Why is Episode 500, after nearly 10 years of work, reduced to a game of hide and seek where you know where the object is? For such a huge milestone, this didn't require any creativity or high stakes like time/combat. You'd think after 499 episodes of content, they could've done more than a far less exciting version of find the tower... Geoff and Gavin being involved hardly saved the episode imo
I hate to say this, but, as a fan who has watched this series since episode one, I was REALLY disappointed with how crap such a milestone episode was. This is episode 500 and all you did was badly remake an old game and immediately tell them where the tower was. Really poor.
Man, episode 500 of MINECRAFT. That’s quite a milestone. Hope the series can continue for the future. It brought so much joy and laughter out of most of us. Hope we can continue exploring the world of Minecraft as it continues to change.

I stopped watching religiously when Ray left but picked up again a bit when Jeremy came in. Then stopped again after the "you know who" incident. Watching this made me feel really old. I'm 30 and have been watching Rooster Teeth since school.

Theyre all trying so hard to keep up good content but we all know its been crumbling for a while. I feel bad saying this wasnt any better than their latest stuff, which is all pretty below average, but its true. Kinda disappointing that even minecraft 500 didnt have a little of the pizzazz ive come to expect from AH. It felt like another boring, hollow episode like the rest of late. The vibes really just arent the same, i guess its finally time to move on and find better content elsewhere after 10 treasured years of this series keeping me sane and helping me through some rough parts of my life. I found achievement hunter in 2012, I was 21 and just had my first job, and found by finding minecraft and found one of their videos on the third video from the top and decided to watch them and they had 8 episodes out and I decided to subscribed to them ever since.
Is it me or have AH really fall part these couple of years i haven't watch a full Minecraft episode on their site in ages and don't really watch their video anymore. It just don't feel the same anymore
Because its not. Due to a few additions/removals and probably company decisions. They can't swear anymore, they cut content out for youtube. They definitely plan less than before or test to see how well it would make a video. I mean FFS this was move in 1 direction for 30 min, at least the original they contained it w/in, due to the platform they were on to a specific range. They also added fake towers and gave equipment. They got what 20 pieces of bread to move 3k blocks away? Lastly, its more/less just become bits, references to what they thought was funny last time and continuing to do it. Its not authentic reactions or ribs/insults at each other. That and the chemistry just isn't there like it was back in the original 6. Say what you will about why each person left or whatever but those days had quality content. Which you can see I am not the only one that agrees based on the amount of views dropping for each series. I mean back then they would easily get 500-600k views on each video, not just GTA/minecraft. Now their latest ones barely break 100k.
500th episode and this is the best they can come up with. 0 build, 0 fun. minecraft has gone down the drain. this is the last episode i will watch. it was fun, until the barely invisible creeper showed up
Without Gavin and Geoff, this video would have been a bust. Adding that Jeremy will be in less videos, it leaves it to Lindsay, Ky and Jack to host video ideas. Which so far, hasn't lead to the best of content, really more of the opposite

I'll be honest - this is the first minecraft video in a about 2 months I even clicked on and mainly becuase this is the 500:th episode and thought it would get some nostalgia feelings.

same for me tbh, It's been a while since I dropped from the AH train. I got tired of the same stuff, I know they are too, sad to see them try to squeeze this for so long. It's none of them's fault. I was 11 when I first came across achievement Hunter’s Minecraft let’s plays, it’s what got me into this channel in the first place, also introduced me to Minecraft.
So I like the sentiment of this episode, but the fun of the original episode was them trying to get the Tower back. This episode ended right before the episode should have really picked up.
Also not being told exactly where it was, mind you the map was much smaller back then. But yeah, the sentiment was nice but sadly missing the best part of the original.
Been watching AH since like Minecraft #4 or something. I remember the day I found it, I watched the entire series in part of an afternoon. Many great memories over the years! Pubert Addams. Jeremy's secret room. Free Edgar. Cake Wall. Jack's propeller hat. Gavin's Trophy Room of Victory. "Ruining your day in 3... 2... 1...". Gavin testing vein-mining on the floor. The burning of Mega-Tower....
Gotta be honest though, a lot of that magic feels like it's a thing of the past, gone with the majority of the enjoyable lunatics who created it. Ray, Jeremy, Geoff, Gavin almost entirely, the former occupant of Kung-Fu House that wasn't named Edgar, because for some reason we can't even say his name... I've always tried to accept new members. Matt and Trevor and Lindsay (and Jeremy) have all been great, and Alfredo has his moments too. But as the even newer members continue to take the spotlight from the familiar, I've found my interest waning. I used to keep up with each episode on the day it came out. I'm ...well, just getting to this one, a month late. I've started skipping G-mod videos just because Ky is in them because I don't enjoy her and they're not fun to watch. Deadline and Sumo GTA videos are getting a bit stale...
I'm going to try and stick it out until Minecraft 520, just for that milestone. But I'm sorry to say that AH just isn't the same any more. Not to me, at least.
A lot of people feel the same. There's a reason why this video has almost double the views the episode before it does. Many people are the same as you. I used to be the same though I think I came in around episode 50 or so. Used to watch daily, even when the content started feeling a bit different. I held on because I'd been watching pretty much religiously for years but then it went down to only certain shows, I used to watch just about anything and loved them clowning around. Now I can say the only video I've watched of recent AH that I really liked was the new Olympics video they did a few months back. Bunny man was great and Let's Roll was good for a while but the online killed most interest I had in it, even now that it's back in person it hasn't felt the same.
Old AH is gone. I don't even know all the members anymore. I clicked on a Mario party episode not too long back and didn't know half the people in the video. AH used to be just 6 people. Now they have over double that while losing most of the originals. RoosterTeeth is pretty much A podcast service now. They have like 7 or something. They're so far from where they began.
@@TheMichaelmyth Yeah, exactly. I haven't even been back to the channel in about a month now, because after 2021 it doesn't feel like there's anything ....interesting that could have happened. I'm considering maybe having a look at Play Pals and seeing if they've got more of that lately, because that still has some of the same energy. After all, it is just two of the original AH members, the same as always. But going to the channel now just makes me feel sad.

Regardless of everything that's still one of my favorite moments too. Michael's sheer incredulous response when he sees Edgar back in the hole always kills me.
We all hate that things of the sort have happened in our community, but it is very important to not section off years off amazing content because it had one awful person in it. Said person made several of my favorite moments possible and highlighted the comedy of the people around them. Fuck what he did, but im glad the videos involving him are still there for me to reminisce on. But seriously fuck that guy..

Yeah, recent Minecraft episodes have mostly been all misses. It really went down hill after they forced everyone to build their houses of video and go on with these gamemodes. The cast just isn't entertaining enough, with Jeremey and Gavin being gone, and Michael missing out on the occasional episodes. Sad :(

Remember back in Tower of Geoff part 2 how Gavin said on a whim "I assume, we're gonna play Minecraft till the end of time"? Well welcome to almost a decade later.
It is said that all great things must come to an end. So many of their original series have done just that. HUNT/HORSE, Fails of the Weak, Go, VS; just to name a few. Minecraft has been going on for 500 weeks now (give or take a couple after the [REDACTED] incident]. I am genuinely curious at what point are they considering ending this series. I mean nothing lasts forever and after so long I'm sure they've thought about it.
Why is Episode 500, after nearly 10 years of work, reduced to a game of hide and seek where you know where the object is? For such a huge milestone, this didn't require any creativity or high stakes like time/combat. You'd think after 499 episodes of content, they could've done more than a far less exciting version of find the tower... Geoff and Gavin being involved hardly saved the episode imo

I hate to say this, but, as a fan who has watched this series since episode one, I was REALLY disappointed with how crap such a milestone episode was. This is episode 500 and all you did was badly remake an old game and immediately tell them where the tower was. Really poor.

Theyre all trying so hard to keep up good content but we all know its been crumbling for a while. I feel bad saying this wasnt any better than their latest stuff, which is all pretty below average, but its true. Kinda disappointing that even minecraft 500 didnt have a little of the pizzazz ive come to expect from AH. It felt like another boring, hollow episode like the rest of late. The vibes really just arent the same, i guess its finally time to move on and find better content elsewhere after 10 treasured years of this series keeping me sane and helping me through some rough parts of my life.

I found achievement hunter in 2012, I was 21 and just had my first job, and found by finding minecraft and found one of their videos on the third video from the top and decided to watch them and they had 8 episodes out and I decided to subscribed to them ever since.

Is it me or have AH really fall part these couple of years i haven't watch a full Minecraft episode on their site in ages and don't really watch their video anymore. It just don't feel the same anymore
Because its not. Due to a few additions/removals and probably company decisions. They can't swear anymore, they cut content out for youtube. They definitely plan less than before or test to see how well it would make a video. I mean FFS this was move in 1 direction for 30 min, at least the original they contained it w/in, due to the platform they were on to a specific range. They also added fake towers and gave equipment. They got what 20 pieces of bread to move 3k blocks away?
Lastly, its more/less just become bits, references to what they thought was funny last time and continuing to do it. Its not authentic reactions or ribs/insults at each other. That and the chemistry just isn't there like it was back in the original 6. Say what you will about why each person left or whatever but those days had quality content. Which you can see I am not the only one that agrees based on the amount of views dropping for each series. I mean back then they would easily get 500-600k views on each video, not just GTA/minecraft. Now their latest ones barely break 100k.
