I appreciate your demeanor and unbiased analysis, your rare in that respect. I totally agree with your three profile games. Oklahoma, Bama and Georgia. We will win one of those games if not two. I think the 99% game is a win over Okie. I just dont see them coming into the conference and adjusting this quickly. I believe there overated. I really think there strength of schedule last year was not high caliber. They come into 2024 overconfident. The Alabama game is the true toss up game. This will be the Game To Watch! I believe it could go either way. I give a slight edge to Tennessee only because of our coach. I think we have the better coach, If he out coaches Bama then we win. Now Georgia...probably the best coach in the SEC. We have to have our best day they have to have there worst. Having said that I give the Vols a 30% chance of winning. It could happen, maybe. Thanks for the vid. You have a new fan.
Appreciate you brother! And excellent prediction as well. Always nice to hear from fans who are able to be objective about their own team. I understand the OU pick isn’t exactly popular but I happen to be higher on them than most. If it was at the end of the season when Nico is a little more experienced, I might’ve rolled with tennessee. Conversely, I’m probably a little lower on Bama than most. But the record is probably the more important thing here. Georgia to me is a likely loss for the vols and OU and Bama will be split imo. I just had to make a pick for the purpose of this video
I’ve noticed anyone who can correctly pronounce Nico’s last name, also has a very good understanding of the Tennessee team overall, and therefore a more accurate and educated assessment on this upcoming season. And you sir pronounced his name perfectly! GBO!!🍊
I'm with you - if the offence can operate at 2022 levels with an improved defense I think that UT can beat Bama and all of the other SEC matches with the exception of Georgia. Only seven true SEC games on the schedule this year (I just can't bring myself count OK as an SEC team). Of those, only four are at home. The huge expansion of the conference into Texas and the Midwest is really screwing things up...
I, too, have Tennessee at 10-2 with 11-1 not being out of the question. 10-2 this year makes for an excellent year and I do believe that Tennessee could escape the playoffs with at least one win.
I believe if we can get ourselves to the playoff then we got a chance because the offense if it’s a resemblance of 22 it could go bezerk any moment and you could win any given Saturday and if the offense is a resemblance of 22 then sky is the limit especially if that defense continues to make progress
The offense wasn't drastically held back to QB play. Milton had like 2900 yrds, 20 passing & like 5 rushing tds with a 65% passer rating. He did all that with a new OC & basically freshman WRs after Bru got hurt. Thorton just transferred in & didn't know the offense. Keyton didn't take a step up. That just left Squirrel 🤷🏽♂️. We had way drops it was unreal. Our ground game was better. If Cooper was healthy we win the flawrida game going 9-3 regular season. #GOVOLS
@@gsmith8403 I definitely came off a little hard on him in this vid but I’ve watched his tape and he misses tons of open receivers and struggles to anticipate. I just think Nico with some experience will be capable of bringing much more consistency and explosiveness to the passing game
Also with Milton, the passing game was limited to half the field. Receivers on 1 side would just run short burst then kinda occupy space, Joe couldnt read the whole field well enough, he also didnt tuck and run enough, getting TN behind the chains a lot
@trumpwasbetter I love Hendon & this is no shade. He often under threw our WRs. You can just watch the highlights & see for yourself. He was more dynamic with his legs than Milton tho.
@TbagGumps idk if you know this but that's the way our offense is designed. We did it with Hendon & with Nico. We often throw to just one side of the field.
Go Vols. Hopefully we can surprise some people this year. 10 wins gets us in the playoffs but I’m not sure we can overcome it with a young qb this year and question marks on defense.
@@PrimeTimeVol87nah, we ain’t losing that fame brother. Where’s your confidence?!? We have a roster that’s absolutely FILLED with studs, on both sides of the line. We’re going 10-2 as a floor this season. I see us beating Bama at home, come the 3rd Saturday in October, & the ONLY loss I’m projecting comes beteeen the hedges to play UGA.
@Truth_Seeker95 I agree I don't think we lose it but it is a game that's possible to lose with it being on the road where we struggled the last few years
The only thing Oklahoma has going for them is that this is a home game for them. Tennessee is 70-80% on the road, it seems. If they were coming to neyland, I would expect tennessee to win by 14 or 21 points, honestly. It will be close, but I pick tennessee as a 10-2 team this year. Nobody wants to admit the only reason we were 9-4 last year was because joe Milton. Glad to be rid of the guy. He's a backup, not a starter.
On another note. It's not said enough. These other teams that don't play sec conference. Are irrelevant. If they had to play the sec teams they would be nowhere near the top 20. It is what it is. Georgia would have beat Michigan. Had to give saban a final finally. Is all that was.
Definitely be happy with 10-2! A win over Bama would be extra great! Go vols woot woot
Yes that would be awesome, we may not win the sec but should make the playoffs atleast

I'm a Vol fan and I have them at 9 wins. I liked your honest assessment and I
can't disagree with anything you said.
I’ve noticed anyone who can correctly pronounce Nico’s last name, also has a very good understanding of the Tennessee team overall, and therefore a more accurate and educated assessment on this upcoming season.

GBO!!🍊
Thank you sir!
Dropping a like solely for pronouncing Nico’s name right.
Unbiased, objective and well reasoned. Great work!
Appreciate it!
I would really like to beat the sooners as well .
Agree with your pic of 10 and 2 or 11 and 1
Thanks for your work and content... Hell... I'm just glad that Tennessee has a good coach and is improving.
Tennessees DLine will eat against Oklahoma

Mizzou next 🙏 they have a very interesting schedule with a somehow light SEC schedule, would be interested to see you evaluate them.
I’ve got OU next and then Missouri after!

At a Tennessee fan of course I like your take. It all depends on our QB and the secondary. We will see?
Redshirt freshman QB Nico Iamaleava is what you meant to say.
The offense wasn't drastically held back to QB play. Milton had like 2900 yrds, 20 passing & like 5 rushing tds with a 65% passer rating. Milton can't throw in stride, he makes receivers stop to catch deep throws, Hooker could RAC a receiver anywhere on the field.
Also with Milton, the passing game was limited to half the field. Receivers on 1 side would just run short burst then kinda occupy space, Joe couldnt read the whole field well enough, he also didnt tuck and run enough, getting TN behind the chains a lot

Our only question mark is secondary. D line one of best in country. The secondary has tallent just not proven
I'm predicted the Vols will beat OU at home! GBO
TN isnt unfamiliar to OU we played a home and home not long ago
I meant that in comparison to the rest of the SEC since OU just joined
@collegefootballspotlight1 still a really good prediction and very possible loss tbh

Had to leave after the OU pick because you are just following the media narrative Go Vols!
I’ve seen several others pick TN over OU and I don’t know anybody else who has you beating bama
You don’t know much more than the national media narrative 😂
Pretty sure the media narrative doesn’t have TN beating bama
