I am doing a no buy July-no clothes, no shoes, no bags. I’m only allowed to buy lipstick, skin care. So far so good

I love your approach! I decided to do a no-buy Feb. I am not sure whether I can success but I am binge watching no-buy related contents lately and encourage myself!

I have also started a no buy Feb challenge (started already on Monday 30.01). It’s already getting challenging because I am already finding excuses to justify buying things 😂 I hope I can stick to it. Good luck to you too

I LOVE this idea! I've been wanting to start a no-buy year, but there are a few things that I want to purchase (a long raincoat and a pair of sneakers, for example), so I like this idea of allowing a pre-determined amount of purchases. Thank you!

Totally joining your challenge! I'm doing a low-buy in 2023, with an allowance of 10 new clothing items and no new make-up. 😇 My exception to the rule is the same as yours: replacements are fine. So far, (almost) a month in, I feel pretty good. I also listed out all the clothes I own that I can wear for Autumn/Winter, and just by being aware of what I own, I'm finding it much easier to resist adding new items. I also really enjoy spending time in the morning figuring out new ways to style the stuff I already have. Good luck! 💖

I stopped buying clothes, shoes and bags bcoz I think I don’t need it anymore and I am so much happier now that I am owning less.

But don’t those two items count as art supply?

true, but with art supply I specifically meant for my painting, so then it wouldn't count :)

I just don't buy new things period.
Never bought a new car ever, my car is 9 years old.
I have, nt bought furniture in years, I just look after mine
I have never bought a new phone not once, I got a refurb for under 60 several years ago, still works fine
Don't need gadgets or tech that's a waste of money full stop
I have, nt bought clothes in a long long long time, od t shirt for 10 to 20.
I never have credit, never it's a spiders Web, no thanks
I pay everything off all the time, even my car is paid for well years ago actually.
And I don, t want a new car, there a bad investment and too exspensive and for my money a waste.
I like basic because everything is paid for, u Don, t have monthly payments to any company or credit, I don, t have credit card and no loans.
And you know what I love it that way, why?
Simple I'm not bogged down and I'm no answerable to anyone company as that money stays in my bank stacking up, its a great feeling.
