Inquiring minds would like to know what was the cause of the vessel taking on water? I'd guess something engine related considering the capt mentioned the water was warm...

Dripless seal was installed improperly and the screws backed off completely and spun loose.

Didn't the captain of that boat state that their boat was "red"? The only red I see on that boat was a red stripe.

Agreed. Maybe its a white vessel that "identifies" as red?
