I remember some of these ads were shown before the date mentioned above, coz I left the UK in may10 1984,, Am I right? I mean one of my 8 visits to the UK, , London, ,
Yes,I'm pretty certain you're right Osama,I seem to remember some of these ads being around for ages, especially the Hellmanns and Smiths Square Crisps, they must have had a fairly long campaign compared to some of the others.
An early Pizza Hut advert there. Of course, it became familiar in later years with celebrities such as Julia Sawalha (Press Gang and Absolutely Fabulous), late rugby star Jonah Lomu, Jonathan Ross and former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson. Luke Perry from Beverly Hills 90210 is another one. Yes, it is one of a number of Hellmanns adverts that ran during the 1980s. The Christmas advert by the makers of the same mayonnaise brand based on the song 'On The First Day Of Christmas' is another campaign that ran for many years. A Renault advert there and that familiar ending, the one with a family where one of them drove a fairly expensive car springs to mind in around 1986-87. There was a song in one of the Dentu Creme adverts in around 1987, uploaded by another user. I think it is titled 'Channel 4 Adverts 1987'. Mmmm, a Lyons Maid advert featuring a family living in an igloo.
That ad for Hewlett Packard, I would never have thought touchscreens were around in 1984! I would have said the last 20 years at most!
I had my rubella vaccine in 84, i was 10 and it felt so 'grown up'. God i wish we coukd go back in time ❤
I want that HP touchscreen PC, one of those pudding lollies and all 3 ladies from the Silkience ad.
"All romantic stories should have a happy ending" We'll it's sardonically ironic that they showed Charles and Diana then.
