awesome truck wow thank for sharing nfld canada
The camper special also has the tool boxes in the lower bedsides in front of the rear wheels and dual gas tank
This generation began in the 1961 model year.
Ive got the f100 version same color
Nice truck man but that generation started In 61 with the unibody Which was discontinued in 63
got anymore 1965 or 1966 trucks this color for sale?
Best looking truck Ford ever made was the 65. You were right to swap out for a 65 grille. Two tone white with Caribbean turquoise green also is the best color code they ever made. The custom cab dash instrument panel was the best like on the f250 camper special. I hope to get one of these one day. My dad had one..1965 camper special minus the two tone white and chrome trim on the exterior.
I like the low gear on mine its good for slowly going through parking lots and also good for towing. One time I was hauling two big alfalfa round bales in the back of mine and believe me that gear was useful. But yeah for regular driving its not very useful. Only time I use it then is if im in slow creeping traffic. The only issue is you have to be completely stopped to go in 1st gear.
16 inch whitewalls? What size are the tires and where did you get them?
1964 is still a solid axle

I wish my 64 would have twin I beam.
I also have the quirky 292 v8
Beautiful truck. Should’ve popped the hood!
It has a horn ring, only its not a horn ring because the horn button is above the key lol
It actually does work. The button is for an auxiliary air horn. And I believe I mentioned that I swapped the grill, I like the 65 better. :)
Mine doesn't work then lol. I was just going on the way mine works. I did notice it has another horn which I wired up and it wouldn't work. I assumed that the one that did work was just a replacement the previous owner put on but I guess it actually came with 2 horns.
Beautiful truck..best looking truck Ford ever made with the best color code...caribbean turquoise and yes the 65 grille is way better looking but unfortunately they don't make..just the 66 in part catalogs. Only knock on this truck I have an issue with is the dash guage instrument panel. The custom cab one is way better with more guage and pull knob switches like on the F250 variant.
@@Vintage55Restorations The button above the key is for windshield washer in 66. That same location was used for cable operated cab air vents 64 and earlier. I bought my first Slick(61-66) in 1979. My favorite body style. The frame was changed in 65 with the new Twin I Beam along with everything under the hood. New inner fenders an alternator instead of a generator. The cab floor changed in 65 but some 4x4's and 350's the old flat floor with inside step carried over.
My favorite truck of all time.
It has a 65 Grille.
That is not a 66 that is a 65 unless it has a 66 Grill on it
Awesome pickup truck.
