Eric is very talented guy. truth be told back in the day he was a better guitar player than brad and probably a better drummer than I when we played together.
Michael Tittle||| Eric truly underrated if there is such a thing- but yes his knowledge of music and abilities to play all instruments was vital. It's really hard for me to be aware of reggae style + Roots & fathom the amount of proper baselines ERic rocked. for example: Perfect World, under my voodoo, Santeria, Burritos, uptown dub just to name a few. Rookies & Vets- Go listen to just the Baselines on those songs
he comes from a family of pro musicians. Brad's family was pretty musical too but he took it the most seriously. I think Bud is a very unique drummer. His signature snare sound makes the band's sound what it is.
This video makes me miss my youth so much. This is all we did, jam our asses off and get drunk ass hell. Just good vibes and times all the time. Music is so soothing to the soul.
A lot of people don't realize that Sublime was basically a reggae cover group that had a few originals and did a TON of live improvisation with their reggae covers.
I went to a club to listen to a sublime tribute band and I had one of the best times in my life. Sublimes music and vibe is amazing. Rasta Rasta Rasta saida ra ra ra!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! I was incredibly stoked the first time I saw this recording and still watch it a couple of times a year. I KNEW it should be seen by the entire Sublime community and glad Geary allowed it to be.
Sensacional!! Acabo de assistir. A turminha da Costa Oeste se divertindo na praia😎 Bradley é muito querido aqui, no Brasil! Deus te abençoe, Bradley! A sua música nos encantou muito. Obg
Saw em in NJ at Warped Tour 95. I was there to see Sick of it All and these guys came out and blew us across the lot. I wish I would have met them that day, no one really knew who they were. Mid 90s music scene was fire...
seems to me these other dudes are from local bands like Sublime at the time, got invited, and then schooled by Sublime. Bud's in rehab at this time if I 'member right
Sublime is a band that really innovated music and laid a foundation for so many wicked good bands today. We gotta keep jamming and making bands with each other, be groovy people, play music and go party!! Record all that stupid shit you get up to and have fucking fun. play groovy music, ride skateboards, and smoke a little weed wit jah friends funky people cool man jah.
(I no longer feel this way; old comment) | this doesn't have to be the last good band like this, no one has followed in the footsteps of these legends. no one has been inspired by this greatness enough to want to make it happen again..
@@oaktowndimond668stick figure is good but the band doesn’t have the edgy chaotic part to it that Sublime had. Sublime was talking about shooting up crack and cooking speed lol
Is that Kelly Vargas on drums? It's that sound from the 40oz drum tracks (which was Marshall, though). Totally chill, but something is missing without Bud's aggressive fills and that snare snap. He would always push the tempo to the point where it felt like everything was on the verge of collapsing, but they somehow held it together. Thank you for posting these!
Everyday Playlist!...... Jakob has my vote to front the band... Sublime wit Jakob or Straight Up SUBLIME.... please release all/any footage, this art must be preserved forever
The riddim, yes. But that's actually Jonas of The Skeletones doing their cover of Golden Touch, originally by Rose Royce, but made popular by Shinehead.
Blown?! I've discovered these guys via Spotify some months ago... and seeing this solidified their image to me! Exactly the type of place this sort of music should be listened too
eric's bass lines are always so dope
Yeah they are

Yeah I think this is one of the coolest baselines

Eric if a multi talented musician, can play lots of instruments
Under appreciated too

Eric has stated that the reason he played bass in Sublime was because Brad was a better guitar player than him
Just days before the Rodney King incident where they’d write one of their most impactful songs off of, crazy
The Rodney King "incident" was in 1991. The riots were 1992 following the verdict
RK was beaten in 91
The riots were days later from this starting on the 29th

What is that white fabric Brad is wearing on his upper body?
It can't be a shirt, he doesn't wear those
