    Last year we moved in March to may and made a trip across the world to our new location and it messed up our flow but we got back to it!!! It’s awesome that your son did his unit study independently!!! We use the CC skip counting songs on their app!!! We started easy peasy earth science and my kids got bored so I’m waiting for an opportunity for it as my kids ask questions mainly when we hear of weather events and other related events!!!

      I'm sorry to hear it was boring for you guys! We enjoyed it this year. Sometimes we add in extra reading books if it seems a little bland. I'm glad to hear your move went smoothly overall!

    Also for piano, have you ever seen the Simply Piano app? As of a few weeks ago when we downloaded it, it was free. My daughter and I are both learning piano with it and I think it makes practicing super easy and fun!

      I feel like I’ve heard about that before but I didn’t realize it was free! Thank you for mentioning that! I’ll have to look into it😃

    We have a lot of similarities- we are going into our 6th year, my oldest is 10 going into 5th grade, & we are going to be using EP! I have four kids: 10, 9, 7, 5. Can you share how you store each child’s books/work, notebook organization, etc! :)

      Hi! How cool! Nice to meet you!! I must admit that I am not super organized throughout the year.😁 I do have a simple video coming out later on this week about year end filing and storage 👍 As far as throughout the year, I have simple paper bins, one for each of them, on the shelf in the school room. The kids place their completed work in them when they're done each day. I have large binders for each child, with dividers for each subject, that I take for year end evaluations. Once evaluations are done, each child's work is piled up together and placed in a large storage container, labeled with the school year/grade. That's what we do for now😃

      @@worldofweeze as far as like the books they use everyday- do you just have all the books on a shelf & they grab what they need or do they each have a specific box/container? Do you keep the parent guides with their stuff or do you store all the parent guides together?

    • @worldofweeze
      @worldofweeze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@blessedmamalife Yes😀 I keep all the currently used curriculum books/textbooks/parent guides all together on one shelf and they grab and go as needed. They know when they grab their math/LA workbooks to grab the parent guide as well!

    Also, did you print the history again or did you read from the computer?

    • @worldofweeze
      @worldofweeze  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I didn't print the whole year up front this time. I used the online most days. However, many days I did print the information pages for the kids to follow along with while we read it together. And then once we got to the last few weeks of school, we did the final portion on the explorers and I did make that into a little binder for each of us. I just printed the information about each explorer and the maps with the routes that they took. Sometimes it's nice to just pull a little binder off the shelf with everything needed inside👍

    • @blessedmamalife
      @blessedmamalife ปีที่แล้ว

      @@worldofweeze that’s a great idea, thank you! Printing the information never even crossed my mind until I saw your video from the previous year when you did early American history & I wondered if you continued doing that each year.

      @@blessedmamalife I found that I ended up wasting a good bit of ink for some of the lessons that we skipped over🤗
