Hey, a few tips for putting on strip lashes: a) trim them if they're too long for your eyes (but always cut from the outer part), b) don't blow air to make the glue dry faster (you're actually often just adding water to it), c) let the glue dry for about 30 seconds (depending on the glue), d) definitely put mascara on first and curl your lashes if they're not naturally curled (as far as I know, yours are), e) try putting the mirror below your eyes so you can see where you're putting the lashes from underneath, f) when you lay down the middle part, move them as needed (make sure they're as close to the lashline as possible - you can use your tweezers to make sure they blend in with your natural lashes). Bonus: cut them in half or in 3 parts and put them on separately (next to each other or in between your natural lashes) - it's a lot easier for most people. It's also good to use lashes that are NOT too thick - people often forget that the fake lashes will mix with your natural lashes and it will often be too dramatic. Good luck!
OR, use singles, as many MUAs use them, bc they look more natural and bit more "foolproof". I feel like you cannot see strip lashes on red carpet for a reason /as well you can see a ton of them in Las Vegas shows, night clubs and not-so-glamorous site of internet-I guess you can assume what I mean/. I honestly feel like grey shadows are going to be super popular later this year. You may get more use than you think out of them. I also am anti lash. They look nice in pictures but frankly you have beautiful lashes already. You don't need them and they seem too dramatic for the looks you do. 🙂
I love the way Katie does makeup! I’ve noticed that she applies the Glossier Stretch concealer with a small brush all over her face as if it were a foundation. It looks super pretty on her, I haven’t tried it on myself yet.

My heart just sank from watching her rip off the Velour lash (I was so excited to see the whole set on 😔) the one side looked great not weird (it was probably darker and fuller than what she was used to seeing)

honestly i have pretty light-colored lashes but haven't worn mascara (except for special occasions) for almost a year. loving the natural 'boy beat' look with no lashes, neutral gray/brown eye shadow all around the eye, bushy brows, natural skin. would love to see u try that kind of look on video!!

I think because you like the lifted look you should definitely put mascara on first and then come in from above when putting on the strip lash and push it up while it’s drying. Honestly I think the cheerleader is perfect for travel, even though you don’t think it is! You bring ONE pallet, which yes, it takes up space because it’s big But you literally don’t have to bring contour, highlighter, blush, or bronzer if you bring this one pallet, AND it saves so much space on the hotel bathroom counters because it’s just one pallet, as opposed to 4 separate items, not even including the rest of your hair/makeup/skincare products. I’ve been debating getting the pallet because I already have 4 benefit blushes AND a backup Hoola bronzer because the one I’m currently using is almost done, but it’d be so nice for me to travel with AND I’ve been dying to get my hands on that Cookie highlighter!! It looks GOREGOUS!

I think the cost per gram does not matter bc let's be real, most makeup junkies have TOO much makeup to ever even hit pan on a shadow. So i think trying to use that as an excuse is a bit meh :/
So for lashes make sure you are using a black eyeliner in the smallest little line across your real lashes it will make where the strip lash will lay down as well look more natural. Also mascara first!! use a mirror from below and try to keep your eye mostly closed. also, don't blow on the Valour lash glue it does not need it at all! let it set for like 15-30 seconds but not much longer as its the fastest setting lash glue I've ever used.
I’m so happy you left in the false lashes mishap. They really are a pain in the ass to get on right for a while and watching so many people pop them on with ease makes the average woman feel like they won’t ever be able to get them on. It takes practice.
I did KJH's trick with adding a drop of oil to the pot of concealer, i tried with the Nars soft matte concealer. and holy crap. I love it so much more this way!

I could never wear strip lashes either, until I tried the technique Sinead from the TH-cam channel “the makeup chair” uses, where she puts the lashes underneath instead of on top of the natural lash. Now I can wear them whenever I want, they go on super easily, & look SO much better! Maybe worth a try?
I love love love that Clinique Even better Refresh. I wear "Nuetral".... it looks too dark but when spread out on the face, it actually not too dark. Perfectly neutral. I'd love to buy that Natasha Denona Biba pallet but it's just too expensive
