I agreed with you about the footage point but for the replacement, I think Alan makes the right decision. Charlie always practices with Babe so no one ever witness his potential except Babe himself. If one of them can win against injured Babe, no one gonna say anything, if Charlie win Dean but lose to Babe, that’ll show his potential. Don’t forget that this race isn’t even an official, they just want someone who’s good enough to watch Way’s back in the official one.
There’s just so much logically that doesn’t make sense in this episode. And it’s done so well that I’ve held it at a higher standard than what they gave this week. But I’m still thoroughly enjoying it anyway!

It doesn’t make sense in my mind for Charlie to be working against Babe. He’s offering to drive for Babe for the rest if the season. To me that means he has to try to win because if he loses you know someone on the team will find it suspicious or even make up some reason to get him kicked off. Charlie’s hands are shaking from the fear of letting down Babe and not from a fear of crashing. Charlie has also gone to great lengths to take care of Babe including cooking, bathing applying cream, trying to protect Babe from getting beaten using his own body, and running towards a burning car to pull out Babe. Charlie does seem to lack fear or maybe he’s fearless. He’ll say even the most outrageous things and he’s not afraid of the consequences. He seems to run into danger without once thinking of the consequences to himself. He’s not afraid to piss people off and has shown a willingness to fight and beat his opponent. He’s an alpha so clearly that has something to do with it.

Yes! That’s exactly how I feel. I think because we’re not getting a lot of story from Charlie’s perspective. It’s hard to get a good emotional bond for him and for him with babe. Even though I do really love the show! And yes!! Ok so I LOVE Jeff and Alan! I’m waiting to get more content from them before I edit them! But I’d love to!
