This was a two night show and they also asked the band to dress the same each night so as to edit it into one watchable concert. Freddie did nothing of the sort and as you watch more performances from this show, you will see that nobody tells Freddie what to do! Also, please react to the studio version of this song. It's quite different and just as lovely.

That's Brian May that does all the KILLER guitar solos and wrote many of the bands hits. He and freddie did this song together but there is a really sentimental video after Freddie's death where Brian uses a hologram of freddie and you can see all the emotion of how hard it is for the band mates to keep going without him. Love your reactions! Love that you're not afraid to like the romantic ballads too. And I don't mind your comments - anytime you hear a queens hit fir the first time - that's how everyone reacts - overcome with all the aspects of such amazing talent! When I want to hear the song - I play the song - when I want to see a reaction I want someone to express what they're thinking and feeling. Agree about live shows! Good for you to be self-aware enough to know love is easy to fumble and be prepared to work for it, cause if you don't- you WILL lose it!
I was lucky to see Queen and Adam Lambert live a couple of years ago. I took my son and we were rocking with the music. When this song came on, I just couldn't help it but i was crying in the dark, hoping my son didn't notice. What a beautiful song
Freddie had so many facets to his voice, he could sing opera, pop, jazz etc. I will never tire of his voice and I was in high school when I first heard them.

Every girl in the world (and some of the guys) wish he was singing that to them with the passion he sings it. You can feel it, which Freddie was very good at doing with all his songs. He could always make you feel what he was feeling.

Try taking a listen to the 1979 Montreux performance of "Shin Kicker" to get a sample of Rory's stage craft.
