    This is super rare. If this show did nothing else, they definitely put on for the musical guests during that era.

    Nickelodeon knew early that black people were the culture and what was cool they never shied away from black representation!

      Yeah, from what I remember, most of the musical guests were R&B and hip hop artists.

      ​@@HeyTeeTeeHey but then years later sadly they turned Pop I.E. Aaron Carter Brittany spears Spice Girls Backstreet boys. They should've never had those artists perform on the show.

      I was born in ‘02 so I never experienced this in real time, but it seems like networks were more willing to appreciate black art back then. I feel like everything is only on BET and the like now. we’re not celebrated like this anymore in popular culture - our art is consumed and cheaply redone. idk tho since I wasn’t around to see this era first hand.
