Totally agree. I feel like the composer wanted to make great muslim notes while making a small spanish passage, giving the feel of a great foe against a small kingdom, trying to survive waves and waves of conquerors
I created a Norse character and did a Varangian adventure onto Iberian peninsula, it was when i heard this track for the first time. The thought of Norse longships approaching the shores of Asturias as this music played in the background filled me with adrenaline. Iberia got a new scary foe that was ready to exploit the troubled peninsula 😌
My favorite historical topic out of all of them is Medieval Iberia, theirs something so special about this time period that im actually writing a story of mines based or inspired by it

See I'm not a really fan of the CK3 music, but instantly upon hearing this, when I went to war the first time as a small Castilian empire, I knew IMMEDIATELY I had to search it up and listen to it.
I truly love this song! Maybe more Arabic and "desert thematic" than I'd liked to, but as an spanish I feel represented in it. The day when I'll grab the sword and the feather for my land is near, till then I'll enjoy the music!
Now you might be thinking what is so special about this time period, as a fantasy fan and a history fan i could tell you that allot of the stuff ive done through my research. Unlike anything ive ever seen, maybe i could say allot about english history, holy roman empire, Vikings, etc. But the reconquista the entire idea of it, these muslim kingdoms who called themselves the Caliphate came here to conquer all of the Visigothic kingdom. Left my Spanish ancestors a small piece of land, then we decided to rebel against these evil men and take of all our land back in these epic medieval battles and events. Like where are you going to find an event that was around a thousands years that involved all of this, each event and story felt like a novel because the entire idea of the people who wrote these stories where actually people who experienced everything right next to the real person. EL Cid is one huge example, the people who wrote the story of him were either part of the court of a friend of his, it doesn't matter anyway because the fact that the history was written by people you know. It doesn't matter whether your from Spain, Cuba, whatever the fact that our Spanish ancestors were badasses like this made me love more my Spanish culture and before i never knew what was so special being part of a Spanish family. Too bad not allot of people get to experience the same experience i had. Allot of the stuff in the reconquista felt so unreal like if it were just fiction, but that goes to show that just like the bible everything is fact whether you believe in that or not!! My only problem is that some people make it not special as how i describe it, which is something i dont like but people have different opinions.
@@HakanGlante yeah that’s fact, again everyone has their own opinion on stuff. But as much as I love the other medieval topics, theirs nothing that changed my view of the world as the reconquista. The best part you didn’t have any of these horrible Victorian historians making up all of this stuff or any those “nobody knows” excuses. Now their are a few things that are still unknown but it isn’t that big of a problem compared to other historical topics that confuse you.
@@HakanGlante yeah the Reconquista is more epic than you think. Too bad the history is underrated and most of the stuff are written in Spanish. Thank you Pavol! There is no lyrics in this piece of music - the choir sings different syllables, more to create a feeling, without a definitive message.
Man I have to say this is great! love it! And thanks for the OST's that you've made for "Battle for Bosporus"!

I just love the flamenco-ish parts in the middle. Puts the song squarely in the Iberian peninsula.

My god this is great. We Spaniards don't have much folk music (that isn't exclusively celtic) so this feels great
