    Hi, do you know if 1999 mazda astina 323 bj 1.6 fluid pressure sensor is external or internal? And where abouts its located? Thanks

    I have a Mazda 6 2009 having this issue it’s throwing the same code would you suggest I fix the sensor then a transmission flush?

    • @blueglovemechanic
      @blueglovemechanic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would just recommend the sensor honestly. Sensors, like all electronics, fail over time. Ive never had any of my transmissions flushed, nor ever plan to. I have heard horror stories of new issues arising afterwards. Best of luck! Dont fodget to subscribe!

      Hello. If you have the same engine code odds are you have the same issue. The only difference is your sensor is likely to be in a different location on the transmission.

      @@carllemke4622 Ideally it will help resolve the issue causing your check engine light (and should be your cheapest option/first step). However, there could be different causes for the issue as well (such as TCM being bad). What symptoms are you experiencing?

      @@blueglovemechanic so there was no check engine light but coming up the hill it felt like it was jerking back-and-forth slightly, which it never does so I decided to scan it and the code P0841 came up related to transmission fluid pressure sensor circuit malfunction that’s why I’m hoping changing the pressure sensor circuit switchwill help rectify the situation

    Hi, I have a question for you. Is the location of the gearbox oil pressure sensor different in different cars? My car gives the same error code, but they tell me that the problem may come from other parts of the gearbox

    • @blueglovemechanic
      @blueglovemechanic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there. Yes, the sensor may be located elsewhere on the transmission, but should be in the general area. If you google your cars year, make, model and include the words "transmission fluid pressure sensor location" you should be able to look at google images and get a general idea on the location. Best of luck!

    Hello sir, I have the same model of vehicle, that I scan it gives me the same code can you please tell me what are the things you noticed before changing this part. And also after changing it what you noticed. Thanks 😊 your response is very valuable to me

      Hello. The car did have some hesitant/delayed shifting and i could only read the code by scanning the tcm via my more expensive scan tool (it didnt throw the check engine light strange enough). After changing the sensor and driving the vehicle around 100 miles the transmission code never came back. I do however still have a minor poor acceleration/poor gas mileage/lack of power issue which i believe is being caused by a clogged catalytic converter. I replaced both oxygen sensors and got an engine running lean code. I pulled my fuel pump and found the filter is quite dirty so ill be replacing that to rule out fuel issues. I pulled fuel rail and turned car over to ensure injectors are not clogged as well. I already pulled the cats and was able to see through them but believe they are probably clogged to the point where the issues are moderate. What issues are you currently experiencing?

      Hi, I have a vw mk 7 golf 1.6 disel and have the same fault code and its causing my gearbox to over rev tru the gears when driving. Did the car in the video experience the same with that fault code. Will my fix mostlikley be the pressure sensor ?

    • @blueglovemechanic
      @blueglovemechanic  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MR-hj9db hey there. My symptoms were moderate but the sensor is definitely where i would start. Its a cheap quick fix and will get you started on the right path as a faulty/failing sensor will send incorrect signals to the TCM so your transmission will most likely have shifting issues. Worse case scenario would be internal transmission failure. Best of luck with your repair and please let us know what you find!
