    I think the reason ppl are mad about the removal of the Bluetooth functionality of the S-pen is that Samsung didn't exactly give back anything to the uses like cheaper prices (the price stay the same may be), or the increase in battery size or built-in magnet for Qi2 charging

    • @ratyjoona
      @ratyjoona 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Built in magnets may be more useless for now in Android markets than useful. Thus, case can suffice.

    • @thkhoa8805
      @thkhoa8805 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@ratyjoonai don’t think theyd ever put another magnet into the device, which may interfere with the primary function of the S-pen. That is until one day they go and decide to remove their only signature thing on the market.

    • @ratyjoona
      @ratyjoona 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@thkhoa8805 The S-pen still exists. It just cannot be used for shutter or some other stuff.
      As a stylus it is still top notch and good for writing and drawing etc.
      Magnets are better to have on cases as well because cases can interfere with functionality if the magnets are in the phone itself.

    Everyone keeps complaining about the S25 Ultra not being a big upgrade over the S24 Ultra and it’s getting so annoying. It’s simple: if you already have the S24, keep it. But if you’re coming from an older Samsung or switching from an iPhone, the S25 Ultra is the best choice you can make. PERIOD!!

    • @MatthewMoniz
      @MatthewMoniz  10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +12

      I never complain about a phone being a big upgrade or should be a big upgrade year over year. That doesn't happen anymore. Hardware lasts so long now. But this year I feel the S25 Ultra took a few steps back and me personally I prefer the S24 Ultra.

    • @felozai
      @felozai 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +6

      @@MatthewMoniz That makes sense, but if reviewers evaluate products for consumers, it’s important to remember that most consumers don’t upgrade their phones every year. The focus should be on how the S25 Ultra compares to older models, not just the S24 Ultra. For someone upgrading after a few years or switching from another brand, the S25 Ultra might still be the best choice.

    If this is the route they're going down, i may have to jump ship to another manufacturer. I've owned nothing but Samsung since the note 4 but this constant downgrading every year is just too much. The most expensive non folding phone they offer has the most bland colors, no ip69, no qi 2 charging, the same battery size, the same cameras minus the new 50mp, the same design for the fourth year, and to top it all off, a downgraded s pen. I get not everyone used the Bluetooth features, but when omitting it doesn't change the price or battery, and they have no justification for removing it it just comes off as greedy. They've gone from an android pioneer to copying EVERY single move Apple makes. No sd card slot, no mst, no accessories in the box, etc. Once Google gets a decent chipset i think im trying pixel next.

    Just bare with it. Smartphones will have some huge mind-blowing upgrades every 7-8 years. Every "next year" phone will have mainly software updates. If you think about it, that's ok. You don't need to upgrade every year your phone. Battery's health dropped after 3 years? Change the battery. Since 2006 there were every year major upgrades, that after 14 years (around 2020) reached very close peak on smartphones hardware wise. That's also ok. You don't need on a smartphone to have 8k screen resolution, 244hz, 6000 nits, 8k recording at 120 fps, unbreakable even if you drop it from ISS, speakers so loud, clear and perfect like pro studio speakers etc. There will be a time where smartphones will be capable of all that, maybe in 20, 30, 50, 100, 200 years. Technology can't actually have a peak on evolution and you know that. For what smartphones offer now, they are perfect for our time. If you want perfect video buy a Red Weapon Monstro/Ari Alexa, if you want perfect Screen resolution spend 25.000$ on a Sony BVM-HX310. Do you want unmatched gaming. Spend 25.000$ on a pro PC build, etc. Be happy that we live in an era that we can do EVERYTHING with a piece of technology that fits in our pockets. Also there won't every be a moment that the newest best lhone will antagonize the newst best video camera, screen, speakers etc. Smartphones allready do a lot and can fill the needs of 99% of the consumers.

    I feel like most reviewers are just following the trend. If a few leave a bad review, the rest follow.
    Don’t care about the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
    But this much complaining seems like nonsense.
    All I heard last year was how everyone wants a very flat screen and how iPhones feel great. Now when the Galaxy S25 series does exactly that, now it doesn’t feel good.
    1. The screen is the best in the industry, better when on the S24 Ultra, with an upscaler and more color accuracy. 2600 nits is not enough ? I don’t have any problem with 2000 nits.
    2. Photos and videos are better than the S24 Ultra. Look at the details. Still not better than the iPhone 16 pro max or Vivio X200.
    3. Better battery than the S24 Ultra.
    4. Better gaming performance than the S24 Ultra.
    5. Etc.
    We’re making a big deal out sf something less than 1% of people use ? Really ?
    Love your videos, Matt, but I think the cold got to you, lol.

    • @MatthewMoniz
      @MatthewMoniz  9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      Hey thanks for watching! I'm not following a trend this is my experience with the phone. The Bluetooth "trend" most likely doesn't matter to most people but its still important to talk about it for those who do find it important. As it might affect their decision to buy the phone.
      1. The screen is not the best in the industry. Its still 8-bit and has a low PWM frequency which can cause eye strain or headaches for some people who are sensitive to PWM flicker (same goes for iPhone). For example, OnePlus 13 is 2160Mhz. 2600 nits does not translate to 2600 nits outdoors or constant brightness. Peak brightness is used in small windows on your display when watching HDR content. Having a higher peak brigthtness is always better for watching HDR content.
      2. Photos and video are not better than the S24 Ultra except for maybe the ultra-wide lens. Its pretty similar.
      3. Battery is the same size. 24 Ultra / S25 Ultra both use a 5000mAh battery.
      4. yes better gaming performance and if thats your niche then it could be a reason for you to upgrade.

    Long time Samsung user, always the note and ultra versions. I use my phone for travel photography. I wanted to upgrade my s22 ultra to a new phone, signed up for the pre-sale to get the best deal, logged in on release day and read that they gimped the s-pen (which I use all the time). I listened to their excuse that hardly anyone was using it (yet to see the actual data on that) but I do know there are TONS of features on this phone that I have never touched and they stayed. Just seemed like they let the bean counters work their magic and reduced costs.
    Bottom line I cancelled my order, (as I use my s-pen as a shutter button all the time to take pictures of me with a stunning travel background), bought a open box S24 ultra, and will sell my S22 privately.

    To begin with, before making a comparative video, you should think about doing the HDR to SDR video conversion of the S25 Ultra well.
    Samsung has really become a little too much of the easy and perfect target 🎯 for many to youtubers 😮‍💨
    Yes the S25 Ultra should have had more hardware upgrades, but honestly apart from the 6000mAh battery🔋 on Chinese Android smartphones, what are the hardware upgrades that justify smartphones like the OnePlus 13 and Pixel 9 Pro XL having seen price increases, or smartphones like the Oppo Find X8 Pro, Vivo X200 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max being as expensive if not more expensive than the S25 Ultra 🤔

  • @mden2490

    Thanks for the video. Do people realize that we’ve reached a plateau with hardware in cell phones, and that software most importantly AI is going to be the new direction that companies are going in for the foreseeable future? Sure you will see small incremental improvements in hardware, but I really do think that gone are the drastic “revolutionary improvements. I believe the improvement with the faster chip along with a larger heat sink, and some tweaks to the cameras was pretty good. I’m glad to see this new shift towards AI, because I think it’ll force people to get back to the real reason why we use and have smart phones and that’s for productivity and taking pictures or videos is ancillary. Lastly, the new design of the phone did not happen by mistake. Samsung knows the sentiment of the majority of its users who said that the 24 ultra was too big and that the corners were not comfortable for long-term use in the hand and so Samsung went back to a design that they had a while back in the note. I believe that they will stick with this new design for a while because I suspect they depend more on the 99.5% of its users and not the .5% of the users who wanted the same design to stay and we’re upset about the removal of the Bluetooth function in the S pen.

    S Pen downgrade, still subpar pictures in lower light or with motion, no IP 69 rating, no IR blaster, no 6000mah battery. Really no reason to buy this phone.

    If you buy this model youre supporting mediocrity. Thats a problem. Vote with your wallet. If you MUST upgrade, get a 24 ultra

    These companies are giving years of software support but yet here we are again comparing it to last year’s model. When will people get that huge upgrades every year no longer exist?

      Yes, in the last few years they've bumped it up to 7 which is great and happy to see it. I agree upgrading year over year is never worth it, especially these days with phones lasting so long. I talk about this at the end of the video. Thanks for watching!

    I’m coming from iPhone 14 Pro Max so to me it’s an improvement regardless

    Really excited for mine to arrive! ❤ Havent been as hyped for a new android since the s22U. Never using a case and to me the most comfy is the iphone 13 pro max. (I still have it and use it btw)
    Therefore i sold my new 16 pro max and ordered an s25U right away
