Heres a stat, Uniteds most common CB partnership in the league last season was Varane and Evans, who played just 6 times together. No other pairing played together more than that. Playing the likes of Casemiro and Kambawalla at the back. Teams have injuries, but to lose you best back for most of the season would be a challenge for any manager.

His best players come back for the FA Cup final, a fairly dominating win over CITY. Siliba was out for the end of Arsenal's season, and they lost the league after being in a véry dominating position. Martinez was huge, and there were plenty other injuries. Stick it out with a manager for a change, it is the secret sauce. City figured it out, Manu used to know it. Arsenal is trying it again (and it is working) Successful clubs for long periods, have continuity.

Man utd have not been able to have proper transfer windows and replace the dead wood in the club before Ten Hag came - by whom I mean Maguire, Lindelof, MacTominay, Eriksen, Martial and Sancho. The transfer window the summer that Ten Hag came, with Casemiro and Anthony, was also a flop. Utd have been awful since 2013 and to blame the last two years solely on Ten Hag is just wrong. For one, he’s won two cups and been in the final of one other cup. Secondly, I distinctly remember 2 horrendous seasons under Sir Alex Ferguson at the start of his tenure in the late 1980’s, but the club stuck with him. Given all the injuries last season, and the fact that the team will be a little more in Ten Hag’s image this year with another hopefully decent transfer window, the least we can do is give the manager another season.

To keep his job, ETH needs another cup win (Europa League, probably) and Champions League qualification. Another 8th/7th/6th place finish in the league and he’s probably out the door.

No recognition to be a top team you need a fit squad, squad depth and good players. The whole thing, tree and branch needs to be undone and then re built. That’s what’s happening. Man utd have not been able to have proper transfer windows and replace the dead wood in the club before Ten Hag came - by whom I mean Maguire, Lindelof, MacTominay, Eriksen, Martial and Sancho. The transfer window the summer that Ten Hag came, with Casemiro and Anthony, was also a flop.
Utd have been awful since 2013 and to blame the last two years solely on Ten Hag is just wrong.
For one, he’s won two cups and been in the final of one other cup.
Secondly, I distinctly remember 2 horrendous seasons under Sir Alex Ferguson at the start of his tenure in the late 1980’s, but the club stuck with him.
Given all the injuries last season, and the fact that the team will be a little more in Ten Hag’s image this year with another hopefully decent transfer window, the least we can do is give the manager another season.
