I will always truly thank Hemstock & Jennings for bringing me into the world of dance, trance or whatever you crazy cats label it these days I am older now still love the emotion today as I did then, I made friends made love and made peace so I bow to you and enjoy the evolution of electronic music .. many thanks from Scotland
Yes, I got that issue and the CD was incredible. It introduced me to this tune and then mixed into another favourite - "DJ Kim - Jetlag (Alpha Zone Remix)". I made sure I went out and got both on vinyl as soon as I could as I like them both pitched up a couple of notches.
The music played at Dolphin Cove at Sea World Australia on the Gold Coast brought me here, this song is included in the little mix of songs they use while the dolphins are doing tricks. Was looking for this track since 2007. Only found it this year.
Veins pinned down by a stuttering mind Blood spills out, always pumping in time Voices cry harmoniously The haunted sound of melancholy Then fast and furious, a glimmer of wisdom An epiphany, a lyrical mystery But like all things, the end comes too soon And all that’s left behind is a vague memory Floating unconscious, a melody that glides A beat to the soul, hidden in our minds Never quite escaping, confined by a reason Inspiration slides in this mirage of rhythm
It may interest you to know that these lyrics were inspired by a recurring dream I had as a child about being trapped under ground by vines, paralysed, but able to see people walking around on the ground, that and dreaming of the perfect song, but not quite being able to remember it as I wake.
I think that Hemstock & Jennings are my favourite trance producers of the lot. I wish they'd been making stuff like this was I was still raving - I retired from it just before the tune came out. If they'd been around cranking out stuff like this, 'Crimson Soil' and 'The Passion' in 1995-2000 it would have been an even more mindblowing time.
Sadly this is a dying genre, there are only a few of us left that still listen to this music style, and even fewer that still make this sorta music. Nowdays everyone is all about this boring monotone garbage the radio cranks out on repeat, and only replace a song or two per year or so. I am one of the few left that still make this sorta music, although i'm a very new producer and still havent even begun scratching the surface in learning.
occasionally a good one pops its head up, unfortunately you have to listen to 200 others that all sound the same to find it. Trance remains the best music imo but just not as good as it once was, it's sad
2:58 The Porsche may have won that battle, but everywhere where else, the R8 has it knocked into a cocked hat, in town it’s small, easy to see out of and easy to park, at night around the harbour bar, it can pull a bigger crowd than a 911 could, even if it were covered in free money
Tunes like this are why trance is the world's biggest international music form - trance has got everything and in any comments section for any quality trance you'll see comments from all around the world.
It takes a higher form of being to put all the little pieces of the puzzle together that becomes this wonderful pulse pounding brain shaker of a track. We are blessed to have been there and pity the poor souls of today who missed the train. It was one hell of a ride to have lived through the best five years of my life that trance had to give. 95-00, you had to be there. If you weren't then not even I can fully do it justice as to how it was. It was that good
Their music (Specifically this track) along with sound bites from the "Chill" version have been used on episodes of TLC's Rides. The episodes "Lamborghini", "Hammer" and "The Detroit Ridler Show" all have their music in them.
If you understand what trance music is and the power of it then you will realise that it's about letting your past go and forgetting about the world you came from. It's about going on a journey to self discovery and when you find yourself, it feels like an angel has wrapped her wings around you and whispers in you ear: "Don't be afraid" Then you'll hear the voice God say: "Life isn't about how many breath's you take, it's about embracing the moments in life that will take your breath away, and it's these moments that will make you feel truly alive." When you experience something like that, then the world becomes a different place.
@@MichaelOKeefe2009 now I sort of see the relevance, since back in 2003 was the the time when trance music started to become very cheesy and started to lose its roots because the new producers that started coming through didn't really know what it was about. This track was released before 2003, if I can remember, I think it was 2000/01 when trance was a lot better, then Lange made a remix back in 2002.

My life has been a mirage of hope. Hope that the gods give me, every day, the reason they give me hope every day is because they know without it I can not continue to life. But I realised it was a mirage and now the jig is up. And when I die I will face the gods and they will face me, and I will ask them, Why? If they do not respond I will hurt them any way I can.
I hadn't heard the Lange Remix before you mentioned it so I went to hunt it out, however much as I admire (old) Lange I prefer this mix as it has so much more energy

No music is better than this. Trance (Real Trance) has mastered everything and combined all the elements like emotion and power into one genre.
Emotion is the trump card that trance music holds over most other non-vocal music (including nearly all dance music), as well as a lot of vocal music.
Q
@@robicenco1 so true, the emotion here builds for example from 3:00 and takes off at 3:25, the epitomy of trance
They way trance should be!!! 😃
Real trance.
Hemstock & Jennings always churned out biggies when it came down to it. Liquid gold right here.

Fkn excellent piece of art right here. Its perfect 💯💯💯
They just don't make them like this anymore... What a track!
This reminds me of the cd "Bosh, 12 sizzling bangers", free at mixmag in 2002. Still love that cd and especially this tune!

Mixed by Eddie Halawel as far as I can remember, lethal CD played it flat out
Get in there son! What a cd
What a cd that was, the ultimate cd for the after party.
One of the pinnacles of the prime trance sound!
God bless Hemstock & Jennings and real and pure classic trance
Oh my GOD! I was looking this track few years ago, and finally I found it!! :D
This & Crimson Soil give me goosebumps when cranked up. AMAZING STUFF! Turn of the millennium trance FTW!!!
pain in the ass that this isn't on spotify
Veins pinned down by a stuttering mind,
Blood spills out, allways pumping in time,
Voices cry harmoniously,
The haunted sound of melancholy...
oooosshh ..... endorphins 🙌
Wow, on the level of Matt Darey or Blue Amazon for melodic legendary trance. First heard it on a Gatecrasher release. 10/10

Emotional sublime words don’t do it justice, just drink it in and get high on the good feeling this creates , no need for drugs.
Amazing tune from early 2000..never gets old. Tr4nce....nothing like the oldies..now Tr4nce sucks.
Now Trance is a bit changed, but it's still awesome. ;)
