You have every right to keep such news in your small circle. You all need time to deal with it. I lost my mom to Leukemia in 2008. We kept it in our family. It is not anyone's business until you want it to be.

How did that clinic let her go through a cycle when generally they won’t start until they have the mammogram results. It only elevated the cancer with the hormone shots.
You had No reason to apologize for crying. You just heard something shocking. That is just fine. You are so brave. They would have had to pick me up off the floor.
Could they not have put her under general anesthesia as she was in the MRI? I definitely think so. The pain and duration of not moving, while in a claustrophobic MRI, warrants being put to sleep.
Has she had any recurrence?
