- The Garendon Park development, also known as the West of Loughborough Sustainable Urban Extension, is an extensive residential development to the west of Loughborough, built on lands once part of the Garendon private estate, which once contained a stately home torn down in 1964 and still contains several follies. Jointly developed by Persimmon Homes and Loughborough-based William Davis Homes, the development will comprise about 3,200 new homes as well as a variety of community amenities; public access to the historic parklands will also be created.
This footage was taken in May 2024 and shows the first phase of the development, by Persimmon Homes, located off the A6 Derby Road.
