Nice work huggie! Don’t sweat the negative comments. Recall not that long ago you were “taking a shot at 2/5” and you look super comfortable at 5/10! Posting the losses and bad play lends credibility to your work. Thanks for the content, sir!
Love the transparency and your improved comfort level at higher stakes! You have come a long way. And it's great that you were able to use your table image to get unstuck. Even better is not going on tilt when you got felted. I'll repeat it, you've gotten so much better.
Thanks for the really kind words, buddy! I've been trying to get more aggressive, but I obviously overdid it a bit here with the A3 hand. Now I've just gotta pull it back in spots like those, and we might be onto something. 😅
@@HuggiePoker well mistakes happen. Just shows you are human. But the fact you are able to critique your own play objectively has also helped your growth! And naturally at higher stakes, mistakes are of course magnified.
@@HuggiePoker well some people, myself included let their ego get in the way. Blaming variance, bad luck, or overestimating their own skill. Your truthfulness with your own game and unbiased review of your own play is why I love your Vlog. It helps me remember to not get trapped in those BS excuses. I am not able to play as much as I'd like, but when I do I'd like to continue to improve and increase my win rate.
I just watched this video today and was impressed by the increased aggression, something I've been working on myself, and I love the transparency,it adds credibility to your work.
I gave you a thumbs up for including the A3s hand, and the apology at the beginning of the video. It takes character to admit when you've stepped in it. 👍
great video Huggie. Thanks for sharing the ace three of diamonds hand. Thats why lags do what they do, so they can get you to call big when they have it. :(
As always, thanks for watching, but no sweat as family should definitely be the priority. Hope everything is okay with your mom, and that you're doing well too...take care!
Thanks, d! Still managed to book a win despite my punt, and more importantly, using it as a learning opportunity to keep myself from making the same mistake twice. 🤞
Bro thanks for sharing that A3d hand I hope u NEVER leave those moments out that made me feel better and made me confident in my play (not that punting is good at all but just good to see it humanized) lmao even thought I was in simply mar situations many times I learned my lesson and would NEVER pull that shit so yeah man don’t ever leave out key hands because your “embarrassed” if I see only highlights on this channel THEN I will indeed dislike and unsubscribe…but today…and so far since I did subscribe to you…you always will get a like and positive comment for keeping it real it’s hard to learn when you only see highlights💯💯
Negative comment for you. The A3 hand was fancy play syndrome from the start. Even your premiums don't want to get stacks in on that flop. A3 seems a good candidate for the squeeze though.
I'm fine to buy in for what I'm comfortable playing with. I would not have been comfortable with a $1,500 starting stack, personally. I don't mind if people want to attack me, I'm happy to take the action at a level I'm comfortable playing.
I'll still consider running it twice, maybe if I'm in the biggest pot of my life or something where I'll feel devastated if I lose. With that said, I like the idea of all or nothing as I think it aligns with my goals at this point in time.
I just use my cell phone. I downloaded an app called Quick Video Recorder that lets me start/stop recording at the tap of an icon, and it doesn't show whatever I'm recording on the screen.
@@HuggiePoker oh right on! Do you just hold it in your hands to record or do you use a stick like some other vloggers? Love the channel btw trying to learn and grow my bankroll as well!
$30 is technically a legal raise when you missed the straddle. The straddle is just a $10 raise, so there’s no reason you can’t raise another $10 more.
They essentially treat the straddle as the new big blind. For example, even though the SB is $5 and BB is $10 (for a difference of $5 between them), I'm not allowed to raise just $5 more to make it $15. I have to at least double the BB in that scenario. The same is true of the straddle.
A-3 at least you realize now you got married to the wrong girl Make sure you go home with the one you took to the dance even if it takes time to realize how you got there
I'd argue that it depends on the goal of the individual! I enjoy doing both. Obviously playing against worse opponents is great for making money. But I also enjoy learning new skills and approaches to the game by playing higher, even if the field is tougher and winning is more challenging. If I were playing for a living, then I'd probably be more inclined to focus more on just playing against worst players, but it's a recreational game for me at this point in my life.

Yeah, it's not easy to be honest with yourself, but it's worth it to grow. Hope you're able to get back to the game sometime soon!
Nobody is perfect and everyone makes blunders. Just put it behind you and keep grinding. Like the increased aggression!
Thanks Doug, appreciate your support as always!

Thanks for sharing the punt man! It happens to all of us!
Yeah, for sure dude! Gotta be honest about my mistakes and leaks to improve.

Yep, you're totally right. Thanks for watching, Brad!
Nice rebound from what could have been a disaster session! Thanks for including all the hands even if the punt hurt like hell.
Thanks, buddy! Gotta keep it honest lol. Lying to myself is not the way to grow as a player.
Another awesome vlog man! Some really sick hands on this one 😮
Thanks, Marc!
I've made dumber calls for stupider reasons. Not at 5/10, thankfully! Thanks for making and sharing the content!
Thanks for making me feel a bit better about it! 😄 Glad you're enjoying the vlog
Very nice Huggie!!! Love to see you win. See you soon. My Mom is in the hospital, so I've been late watching Vlogs.

Yeah, for sure man. Won't be making that mistake again any time soon.

“4 liner for a flush” 😂
That 7-8-9 flop my thought was even if he is bluffing with a draw he may very well be a favorite over an ace high.
Yeah, you're very well correct. It was definitely too big of a risk to take on, even if he was drawing.
Everyone punts but the 10 5 hand was wayyyyyy outta line 😅😂
I've gone broke at the very bubble with A3 of diamonds less than 24h ago... I know the feeling...
Huggie bump it up let's go
More coming soon! 😄

Oh, I 100% agree. I won't be making that mistake twice. Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
What was ak against? The big pot
He mucked his cards, so I never got to see. I'm assuming it was either a pocket pair or AQ.
So right away. If you don't buy in for the max in 5/10, then you look scared and you'll get picked on. Buy in for the max $1500.

That’s why I stopped barreling for no reason- worst advise ever.

Haha true, though it will take a year of making these vlogs to earn back what I lost that hand. 🤣
