    when I 1st tracked 100 threes (at ab 21 years old) I hit as low as 27 percent. now (at 35 y.o), I recently hit my high of 68. that's no coaches, outdoors, on a street court, just refining. dudes like Dyson & Herb, they work harder than average so their shot will be better than the average. Steve Kerr said "I mostly practice from 15 to 17 ft because in order to become a good 3 pt shooter, you need to 1st become a good shooter." you become natural in the mid range & at the line; you close w/ your daily 100 and that shot has no choice but to get better. if your shot is ever really off, take a day off & it will be back better. there's dudes you should doubt, but I think Chris playing with fire doubting the resolve of a dude like Herb. herb & dyson have too much pitbull in their spirit to fail. the idea that they have pro coaching, top tech, and resources. I'm telling you, shot can improve quicker than you think. I saw glimpses at the end of last season. Herb gonna be straight, I promise you.

      You making me go to the gym and master my middy. This is good work man. Trust me i don’t discount Herb’s work ethic nor his ability to get better. I just think 37 percent is a big jump. My goal would be 35 percent from 3.
      Either way I think both these guys will be improved as shooters

    Loved this duo, great show fellas.
    I do agree that herb and dyson together are great, only problem is if they both strugglin from the 3 pt line zion and company become easy to defend. gunna be interesting to see how willie uses them not only in certain line ups but also closing line ups as well.

      Appreciate you bro, and yes. If they’re not offensive liabilities you can have some real fun throughout the rotation

    Dont ever say Mixing herbs and spices again. N
    Shout out to Chris Clone - cuz it’s no way the real Chris would do a show without a durag.

    Would love a lineup of dyson/herb/Trey/bi/zion

    What about a small ball line up of Herb, Dyson, Trey, Zion, and Nance? Defensively you would have the ability to switch all positions. Still plenty of power offensively. Probably struggle on the boards but I like the defensive flexibility.

      I’m interested in that as well. That’s the fun with Dyson and Herb, I think the lineups you can experiment with are interchangeable

    Herb and Dys was one of the best lineups with Zion. They couldn’t drive, pass or get in the paint and every three was challenged. That was my favorite lineup! Pels gotta win against Memphis. We need a winning start.

    The best lineup of the preseason with Zion at the five was with BI, CJ, Dys and Herb. That lineup led the comeback against Orlando.

      Facts. Now swap Trey in for CJ for more length. Scary days.

    • @cmn225
      @cmn225 ปีที่แล้ว

      that lineup'll get cooked hardly any rebounding/rim protection & 3pt shooting

    • @chrisconner1313
      @chrisconner1313 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was surely fun to watch. Allowed them to create long shot clock possessions which turned into transition opportunities

    Herb and Dyson together on the court defensively is just unfair to opposing offenses. If they can run the point or knock down shots on offense this year, there's no reason to not play them both together as part of that small ball lineup.
    I keep banging the Zion/BI/Trey/Herb/Dyson lineup drum. And yeah, they'll need more rebounds with that lineup, but even so... damn.

    • @cmn225
      @cmn225 ปีที่แล้ว

      that lineup'll get cooked not enough rebounding/rim protection & no 3pt shooting outside of Trey

    • @xsikal
      @xsikal ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cmn225 Like most lineups, it's situational... you're not playing Herb or Z at the 5 against a dominant big. (even the GSW 'death lineup' was situational).
      But that lineup (with CJ instead of Trey) was the best one we played against Orlando in preseason G4. Add trey's length and shooting (and better defense) and I think there's something there.

      @@xsikali'm not putting much stock into it being that it was a preseason game & it's the Magic...plus i'm not a Dyson fan AT ALL so any lineup with him in it isn't a good one imo

      @@cmn225 That's fair. It's all hypothetical until it works in a real game!

    I have said this also. They need to bring CJ off the bench. Start Dyson PG, BI SG, Trey or Heeb the SF, Zion PF, and JV in his rightfully position.

      bench CJ for Dyson? HELL no
