Listened to this while driving on a snowy night in Canada. The road was empty, the powder fell softly, and the fields around the road were white and clean.
The ironic thing about this kind of music is the inspiration for it comes from an age where the ability to discover and share it on a global level was impossible. The Internet is probably the greatest invention ever.
This is the the type of synthwave that totally stands out. Its not like the majority of the synthwave artists out there and not that they are bad or anything, it’s just Lazerhawk sure knows how to put a song together.
I still sport a cassette player when i run. Someone once asked me why I listen to cassettes. I told him it had some amazing quality. The guy laughed and started explaining quality. I responded with telling him how the cassette has the same quality as when it first came out, and it makes me feel like I'm still in the 80's. :)
I know what you mean, have a Blizzard of Ozz cassette and it sounds better than the CD Same thing with Back in Black album but my idiot friend left it on his dashboard and the Sun warped it! Needless to say , he's not my friend anymore. Not just because of that.
Recorded from FLAC onto metal cassettes with Dolby S noise reduction actually sounds better than a CD. Unfortunately metal cassettes are rare as hen's teeth nowadays.
Watching and listening to this on an early 80s television, hearing it through the mono speaker, with the blocky remote in your hand, is something anyone listening to this song should experience..
Man, 80's rocked SO HARD! I wish I were born even earlier, so I could've enjoyed that decade properly. Was just a kid back then, not appreciating how awesome everything was. Films being positive, and having an actual message (not even gonna mention all the really disturbing cartoons for "kids" today), the full development of new wave, darkwave etc. synthpop, and the world, on average, not being so grumpy. Someone take me back, NOW!!! Luv Lazerhawk for impersonating that so well. Great vid btw!
I love the almost electric sensation of both goosebumps and nostalgia I get when I listen to songs like this. It's a song from the past that somehow didn't exist but somehow does
i remember my first walkman. my parents bought it for me so they didnt have to constantly hear my music! lol i miss the days when music was the soundtrack to your life! now its more of a trip to my past.
The reason we love these tunes so much is that hypnotic synth was what we heard through our mums bellies when we were in the womb.In fact I'M SURE MY AMBILICAL cord came out with an NES pad on the end!! Why did life never get better than the 80's? Youth since mid 90's have no identity nervously playing with phones that they're reliant on because they're not strong enough to resist advertising and have a sheep mentality. Now give me some more of that keyboard :)
Супер! Перенеси меня в красивый безмятежный сон где ты и я где все мы живы и нет преград для нас с тобой и свет планет корой помним мы который не забыли
In the album Redline, there's the track Pedal To The Metal just before that one. I've always imagined a dude riding his awesome 80s futuristic vehicle and the muzik goes "Nobody can't stop me now" and the police are chasing him. Then the track gets intense just before the end. Now the dude is stuck or is nearly caught by the cops and then he sends the Distress Signal
12 years later and this is Retro Retro
Retro new retro*
Yeah, kinda interesting how that works.

Living the dream. That must have been so amazing and mesmerizing.
Nice.

Rhys Williams it is a so deep emotional creation ! The sensation it gives To me is so Nice. Maybe i am writing something like shit.
This kinda music is so chill. I listen to it whenever im stressed and it calms me down
@Dick McJackass Had Alan Turing lived longer. We'd probably have been using the internet. In the 80"s
or not
@@smith6368 electricity then lol
This is probably my favorite song from Lazerhawk. That signal tone or whatever it is just makes it epic.
Well, the whole Redline album is just brilliant.
BEEP BEEP BOOP
I like Overdrive. Frickin' when I get old enough I'm gonna go to Australia and drive on those long-ass roads while playing the song

That guy is a dumbass
In most cases they dont hold up very well. But if you make them last thats great for you.
blah, someone sporting with a walkman is a pretentious asshole.
Something about this track really sets the mood for the 80's. It puts me in such a relaxing trance :)
All this time I was sure Lazerhawk was some 80's artist. Good times are finally back!
Bluntman 007 Have you heard Waveshaper? He's maxing also. modern day genius.

i love the retro videos and music. goes really well together
This perfectly encapsulates my experience of the 80s.
Why did it take me so long to find these guys!? This is the type of music I've been searching for my whole life!!!
lazerhawk is a masterpiece.
He is so good, i almost cry listening to this.
I honestly love the banjo type plucking you can hear faintly at the start of the song.
This works as perfect retro dance. Without youtube, I'd never of heard it.
Exactly :)
This song has touched me like no other. God bless!!!
I love this sound, the 80s was a great time, music, film, games, etc.
This is from 2011. Lazerhawk brought back some awesome synth music so early
This album is actually from early 2010 and even if you look at lazerhaw's my space, there where a few demos as early as 2009 i think.

La mejor canción, bueno al menos mi favorita de Lazerhawk, todos los días la escucho, hoy y siempre.
Love it when a synthwave track uses real video from the 80s!

When you just finished a shift at work, you're heading home, your tank is at ¼, and gas prices have never been lower.
It'll be totally rad to know all of the videos used for this most excellent compilation.

This isn't 80s music.
@@gustavosmith3980 it may not be from the 80s,but it definitely is the same style
@@gustavosmith3980 is basically the same
Great piece of art. Makes me feel watching "Lawmover man" and "Project Brainstorm".
I miss these days.
That's the point! It's trying to give a retrofuturist 80's feeling.
Fucking bad ass.. I was in 1974 and, well fuck, no words can describe how much this brings me back to my Amiga 500 years. FUCKING BAD ASS.
Awesome video. Great Job!
